Our stay at the Mount Edgcumbe was genuinely exceptional. My wife wasn’t feeling well during our visit, and the manager and staff showed such warmth and care — nothing was ever too much trouble. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out and made us feel completely looked after. The room was beautifully appointed, with everything we could need, and the bed was especially comfortable. We also appreciated how easy it was to come and go thanks to the private entrance — such a thoughtful touch that added to the overall convenience. The dining room is simply lovely, with a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, and the food was consistently very good — clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. From start to finish, it was a welcoming experience that far exceeded our expectations.

I travel to Tunbridge Wells for business a lot and have stayed in most of the hotels in the area. The Mount is by far my favourite, beautifully decorated rooms with a boutique feel and a fabulous bar and restaurant. The rooms are compact but cozy and the breakfast is always delicious

Stayed here for one night after landing at Gatwick as it was a reletiveky short distance away. The building is lovely, in a very quiet area. The rooms are classic for an older property with sloping floors, that took some getting use to, but added to the character. The restaurant and bar were great, very bespoke design and stylish, but as the weather was good we got to sit on the terrace. The food was exceptional but only ecliosed by the staff. They were freindly, helpful polite and could not do enough. Overall this is a great place to staff, if not to visit and if it were closer to home we would be there all the time.

Way too small for 2 people and luggage (plus it had no wardrobe or chest of drawers). Disappointing as the rest of the hotel was nice so would recommend booking a category up.

Lovely comfortable modern rooms and great breakfast. Quiet area and friendly staff with a really easy scenic walk into town. The hotel looks a bit tired as you arrive but it is fully done up inside while maintaining its character.

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. I was alone travelling for work and was welcomed warmly in both the hotel and the restaurant. My double room was small (described as such from the start) but extremely comfortable with a king size bed and very lovely linen and bathroom products. There was a TV and good coffee and tea too. The bathroom was also small but perfect. Lovely shower. The restaurant overlooks a park and I was lucky enough to eat outside in the warm evening. The food was really good and there was a nice choice of drinks. I watched a young deer while I ate! Breakfast was very good too. I would definitely go back. I hope to soon!

Lovely property. Nice spacious room, good bathroom, excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room. We didn’t have dinner here but wish we had as the restaurant looked amazing. Also a great location - very quiet and peaceful yet only a short distance from the centre of town. Will certainly stay here again if we get the chance

I think this has to be one of my all-time favourite hotels. It's in a perfect location for The Pantiles. It's quirky and individual, beautiful rooms. The service and staff are great. I will definitely stay there again.

Welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. Fabulous lunch on arrival in the new restaurant. Lovely bedroom, slept really well. Big bathroom. The room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was tasty. We really loved this hotel which is convenient for the town centre and the nearby theatre is only a ten minute walk. Wish everywhere we stayed was as good as this place. Well done everyone.

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. I was alone travelling for work and was welcomed warmly in both the hotel and the restaurant. My double room was small (described as such from the start) but extremely comfortable with a king size bed and very lovely linen and bathroom products. There was a TV and good coffee and tea too. The bathroom was also small but perfect. Lovely shower. The restaurant overlooks a park and I was lucky enough to eat outside in the warm evening. The food was really good and there was a nice choice of drinks. I watched a young deer while I ate! Breakfast was very good too. I would definitely go back. I hope to soon!

The Mount Edgcumbe was perfectly adequate for our one night stay. I would prefer more choice at breakfast and a more 'help yourself option'. Waiting for staff to ask for more coffee was a bit lengthy.

A really good stay. Welcoming, comfortable and well decorated. Lovely bedroom with super bathroom. Really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Good location on the Common a short walk from town centre. Really enjoyable stay

Such a brilliant find. Staff Very friendly and polite. Comfortable, cozy and full of character. Had a wonderful night stay. Very pretty local hotel close to all amenities in Tunbridge Wells. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend and would return again.

I travel to Tunbridge Wells for business a lot and have stayed in most of the hotels in the area. The Mount is by far my favourite, beautifully decorated rooms with a boutique feel and a fabulous bar and restaurant. The rooms are compact but cozy and the breakfast is always delicious
