For a motel, the Maple Leaf is pretty nice. The building is a little dated (how many new motels are out there) but the room was very clean and spacious. Parking was convenient. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The room had a kitchenette and the hotel provided you with snacks, bottled water, and a keurig machine with pods. All at a reasonable price. My only complaint was with the check-in. There was no one in the office and you were supposed to get a text message with the check in information which I never got. As a result I had to make a series of phone calls and jump through some hoops to check in. My feeling was that this was an anomaly though. I would strongly consider staying here again the next time I’m in Schroon Lake.

Nice comfortable motel. It's cozy and reasonably priced. It's quiet and the property is well kept. Parking with a boat is easy and there is power to charge the boat. I've stayed here several times and will stay again.

The room was large and it was convenient to park just outside. The chairs just out the door were also nice. The hotel didn’t have many guests though, so it seemed rather odd that with only a couple of noticeably occupied rooms, they would be assigned next door to one another and the two rooms closest to the highway. The neighbors were late arrivals and got up very early making a lot of noise rushing to get out. Needless to say, it wasn’t a restful night.

We arrived early and stopped to see if we could check in. The person cleaning a room seemed upset we asked. To her credit she looked up our reservation and saw our room was ready so she checked us in. We put in our luggage and went and checjed on the pool since it was a reason we choose this motel. We found it locked and when we asked if it would be opened the same person said it's being repaired and nay be opened later, it never was. The room looked like it was remodeled with a nice frig but the TV was about 20 inches. Also there was no shower soap and the shower curtain was moldy. Gf was grossed out. Even though price was OK, there must be better options

We stayed here a night with my family. The room was clean and newly renovated. The bathroom and the kitchen area were all well-cleaned and prepared for the guest. They were kind to provide snacks on the kitchen table. The location is motel is very convenient for your stay both for Lake george or lake placid visit. Definetely will stay here again in the future!

Room was clean. The bed was comfortable with good quality sheets and pillows. Towels were of good size and quality. The snacks and water bottles were a nice touch, and the fridge and microwave helped us to eat in the room as there are VERY few eat out locations. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. It is an older building, but it met my needs for the stay.

Amenities were very nice and up to date but the room Needs a good cleaning. Dust and hair along baseboards, and windows. Thick dust on lamps and lamp shades but bedside tables and dressers tops were clean. Spiders and spider webs on door windows and ceiling. Throw rugs need vacuuming. Air conditioner filter needed to be changed so the air conditioner cycled on and off all night. Refrigerator microwave and toaster oven had bits of food left in them.

Room was great—very cute and super clean with a very comfy bed. But I especially appreciated the ability to easily book online late at night and immediately get a room and access code so that I could rest after a very long day of traveling and being too tired to make it to my destination that night. Only regret was that my schedule didn’t allow me to stay longer.

This place was really cute and absolutely met our needs! The only problem was that our code to check in stopped working, and after calling the person who reached out to us with check-in instructions, the problem was efficiently resolved. The room itself was really lovely, the amenities and snacks were very much appreciated, the beds were super comfortable, and the air conditioning was very efficient. The location was perfect - quiet and convenient! The only opportunities we saw were in the shower. It was clean with plenty of hot water and great water pressure, but It could stand to be repainted, and the inner shower curtain looked as though it needed to be replaced - but other than that, this was an incredibly charming place to stay in Schroon Lake! We will definitely stay here again!

Great place overall. Reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: water pressure in shower wasn't very good and the water wasn't very hot. And the bed is extremely soft...anybody with a bad back or hips might find this uncomfortable.

This is our second time staying here. Rooms are adorable. Great Adirondack feel. Plenty of parking. Easy on/off Northway. Close enough to the town of Schroon Lake for a good walk. Beds are comfy.

Maple Leaf was a disaster. I was trying to fall asleep but the room fridge is really loud every time it runs. Also, heat doesn’t work well so it’s kind of cold. 2 am, I’m sort of awake. All of a sudden, WITHOUT KNOCKING, someone makes the door lock beep open and is opening the door. Thank the Lord we had the chain on. So I start screaming like a banshee. Hubby tells me to stop screaming. Ok, will do… We get up and it’s the motel manager with 2 state troopers. Telling us they got called to this room. Ok what? And what makes it ok to just waltz in at 2 am? Cops or no, I don’t think that’s legal… Never again!

I was confused about checking in. I was not aware that I would be getting a text with a code. When I arrived and the office was closed I called the phone number on the door. Whoever answered was rather rude because I didn’t understand the process I looked at my text and did get into my room but I didn’t appreciate being made to feel stupid. The room was nice but it was not stocked like I think it was meant to be. Beautiful area

We received information on our room before we arrived. we had the room no, and the cobination on the door to enter. After many reservation, I never had this much information on our room before arriveing. There is no check in needed. A rexr was sent out notifying us our room was changed which we did not receive. Once there , we used the pass code we received to enter the room worked. once we got comfortab[e, laying on the bed, the door opened unexpectedly. The room was rented to another couple who also had a different pass code. Both us and the people who entered were very surprised. The manager called to apologize because our door had both pass code entered by accident. Hopefully manager will call the customers directly to explain the changes which was not listed on Hotel.com. Thankyou

We arrived at around 10:30 pm as we were running a bit late. The code for our door didn't work and the front desk was shut despite the website stating it remains open until 11pm but we called the number on the door and someone very quickly drove over and gave us a door key (she was a bit stern but it was the middle of the night so very understandable). The outside of the motel is very nice and welcoming and felt safe, the surroundings are very pretty. The rooms inside are also nice - they were very clean, with little to no bugs. The beds are very comfortable with a ton of blankets and we were left chips, noodle cups and a frozen breakfast meal (we didn't eat that one). We heard no noise. Despite the no smoking signs we could strongly smell weed outside the motel but it didn't bother us until we left. We were sad we were only staying one night! Highly recommend if you're in the area.
We arrived at around 10:30 pm as we were running a bit late. The code for our door didn't work and the front desk was shut despite the website stating it remains open until 11pm but we called the number on the door and someone very quickly drove over and gave us a door key (she was a bit stern but it was the middle of the night so very understandable). The outside of the motel is very nice and welcoming and felt safe, the surroundings are very pretty. The rooms inside are also nice - they were very clean, with little to no bugs. The beds are very comfortable with a ton of blankets and we were left chips, noodle cups and a frozen breakfast meal (we didn't eat that one). We heard no noise. Owner was very helpful with me as I was trying to figure out the lock. She came right to my rescue. And the cabin was very clean and I appreciated all the snacks they leave in the room at no charge.

Awesome place to stay close to the high peaks. We really appreciated having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Usually we are hiking from early morning hours through the late evening and most restaurants are closed. It was great being able to prepare food in the room. Super clean, easy check in, check out. Designated parking spot. Would definitely stay here again.

The location for my trip was key. I hiked up in northern peaks and had to be at great sacandaga lake the next day . I took a drive to see the actual Schroon Lake . It was a peaceful place to rest

This is our second time staying here. Rooms are adorable. Great Adirondack feel. Plenty of parking. Easy on/off Northway. Close enough to the town of Schroon Lake for a good walk. Beds are comfy.

We stayed here a night with my family. The room was clean and newly renovated. The bathroom and the kitchen area were all well-cleaned and prepared for the guest. They were kind to provide snacks on the kitchen table. The location is motel is very convenient for your stay both for Lake george or lake placid visit. Definetely will stay here again in the future!

Great value. It was in the right spot for my travels, was very reasonably priced, had plenty of amenities, was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room. I liked how it had water and snacks, and a stocked Keurig for coffee. Nice touch!

It clean and just what is needed for an overnight stay in the area. The room is dated, but well kept. Probably time for an upgrade, but that might "upgrade" the affordability which is a blessing. You cannot beat the kindness of the owner and staff.

The room could have been a lot cleaner, the carpet was creepy, and there was a big rust stain in the toilet. Speaking of which, the toilet clogged. The shower water pressure was weak. The bed was comfortable enough.

The location was excellent and the motel was cute from outside. Inside, my room had old dirty carpet that smelled because the a/c was off so it was really warm in there. The sink was cracked and the toilet seat slid sideways. The room was a good size but needs some updating for the price. I didn’t want to take my shoes off on that carpet.
