As others have said, great breakfast, very good service, comfortable bed and decent shower, as well as being very convenient for the town centre, quay and station. But room quite noisy both early in morning (6.30am) and later at night (past 10pm). First floor room was compact and the stairs a bit tight (partly spiral). Watch out for the pigeon dropping on the car if parking under the trees...

Nice rooms over a pub. Stayed here for convenience of getting to the Isle of Wight ferry. Very helpful staff. Good food and drinks Traveling with heavy luggage, beware- No elevator. Staff will help carry it! Would stay here again.

Would have got 5 stars all around if it wasn’t for a faulty shower, wonky chandelier and limited parking. The staff were extremely helpful and apologetic so could not fault them. The breakfast was lovely.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Absolutely first class and couldn't be more helpful. Being elderly we found the stairs to the bedroom rather difficult. We had originally been put on the second floor but when the young lady checking us in saw our problem she immediately tried to get us moved to the first floor. We were very grateful.

Excellent stay at The Bosuns Chair. Recently refubished room was lovely & spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there, including a plentiful supply of good quality towels, more than ample tea & coffee making facilities, full length mirror, nice smelling toiletries, plus lots of extra thoughtfil touches, in case you needed them (nail kit, shaving kit, additional toiletry items etc). Any street noise from cars had died down by mid-evening and it was very very quiet overnight and in the morning. Although there is a pub downstairs, again there was no problem with noise. Breakfast was excellent! Good choice, speedy service, tasty and well presented. Staff were nice and friendly. Parking was limited and a bit tight, but not a major problem. Excellent central location for Lymington train station, local restaurants and shops. We would 100% recommend The Bosuns Chair and stay there again.

Staff at the Hotel very welcoming and friendly. The yogurt was the best ever, locally produced with the fruit. The main dish was cooked to our choice and very tasty. Also the pizzas were exceptional and good choice of beverages. I will say although all the rooms were refurbished and clean you had to put your please clean the room card out or tell reception after breakfast otherwise it would not be done. The situ of the pub was ideal for walking around Lymington and Parking as well.

Great location, close to the high st. Good breakfast and really comfy bed, nice room (no4) let down by the bathroom though which is small with a poor layout and needs a refurb, we’d definitely stay again with the hope that the bathroom might be sorted.

We had a great one night stay at the Bosun's Chair. Welcomed warmly on arrival and the room was really beautifully decorated and comfy and cozy at the same time. Nice size bathroom and lovely welcome touches of biscuits and water. And I would go there just for breakfast - the breakfast was top notch. Good options and wonderfully cooked. Would definitely stay again

Excellent place to stay. Refurbished rooms, very comfortable and well done. Food excellent and most importantly the staff couldn't do more to help. They were outstanding. One word of warning-if you park in the car park, expect the local birdlife to leave you numerous mementoes of your visit.
