The hotel was very clean and comfortable, our room excellent. However, bar and snack prices were horrendous. One pint of lager, a rum and coke and a pint of coke was £17.40, and a 'fish finger sandwich', £10.40. On top of a £100+ charge for the room. A case of milk the captive audience for as much as possible

One night stay prior to flying. Excellent location, restaurant was good, service was excellent. Only issue is that you can’t drop off or pick up either luggage or elderly relatives without incurring a £100 fine, unless you have booked and paid for a parking space, however there are only a small number of spaces.

It was very good, as always. We count this overnight stay at Newcastle Airport, a part of our holiday. The girl who checked us in wa so helpful and friendly, she had a lovely personality and was very helpful, giving us lots of information. The warm chocolate cookie is always appreciated too. We decided to eat in the bar this time, however it was extremely busy and only one server and we waited for a very long time to be served and a fair wait for our food. Our room was cosy, bed was comfy. We had everything we needed. .

Clean room and a very large comfy bed. The bathroom wasn't fantastically clean and mold in many areas of the shower. The TV in my room did work either constantly showing "no signal". I only used the room to grab 7 hours sleep ahead of a flight so didnt matter too much, but still improvements could be made.

Nice airport hotel, almost doesn't feel like one. Room was very nice, big and spotlessly clean (at least to the naked eye), and the the staff were great even though they know you're probably only staying one night. I couldn't say the same for some other airport hotels I've stayed in.

Amazing. Arrived at around 3am from a night flight to be greeted by a warm cookie! The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was like a cloud (pillows and blankets were unreal), staff were all super pleasant, can’t wait to come back.

perfectly situated for an early morning flight, bed and room very comfortable, on concern is the amount of light inside the room, we found the rooms to be rather dark on each of our stays, even when we had all of the lights on and the curtains fully open.

Convenient to the airport was a plus. Room was ok, but AC / Ventilation was very very very noisy so absolutely zero sleep for a 3 am wake up - listen to the video I took. Restaurant food average, expensive and wine complete rip off at £30 for a £7 Pinot Grigio bottle of wine. Was it worth over £110 room only - not in a million years. Will be raising a formal complaint as the noise was unacceptable.

It is: -clean and comfortable -spitting distance of the airport (no need to get a car to or fro) -a good place to catch football low key with a bar that has tvs tuned to football. It does not have USB sockets or converters. The breakfast buffet is meh and expensive. One of the few times I’d recommend eating at the airport instead.

You book an airport hotel for quick, convenient proximity to the airport, which in terms of location has some down sides along with the big obvious bonus. The room was fine - comfortable and surprisingly peaceful - exactly as we had hoped. Decent bathroom and shower. That part of our stay was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed and expensive and the food disappointing. By far, the dearest and worst meal of our holiday! So, that part of our stay was poor!

Check on was quick & efficient, the room was clean with sufficient space. Unfortunately the restaurant staff were a bit chaotic & spent lots of time standing around chatting instead of attending to their customers. The food was very nice.

I really felt welcome when I arrived on Tuesday night. The next day when we returned to the hotel the front desk staff was extremely rude. I was treated like I came off the street and didn't stay there when I asked to throw out some trash, I was told to go outside and find a bin. Then I asked for a bottle of room temp water (to rinse my sinuses) and I was sent back and forth from the bar. I was finally given one, and made to feel like I was being unfair to them, because I was asking for common courtesy. I was told I wasn't a rewards member (and I am a Hilton Rewards member), so I didn't get water. This is terrible service, I told the ladies that I wish the gentleman who had been there the night before was available, as he was lovely.

The hotel was a great location for the Airport. One of the worst places I have eaten for both evening meal and breakfast. The food was lovely but the staff where just poor. Spent most of their time congregating at the reception area not bothering with residents.

When I checked in I requested invoice but they said it will be handover checkout time, but they didnt prepared at that time, and they said it will be sending by email within a day, but not sent to me yet. the reception desk didnt have well knowledge of work and just cheated a guest.

This was our third stay at this hotel in the last 4 weeks (and about the 10th visit in total). The welcome at reception was as good as always. However, on settling in to the room it was soon apparent that the heating wasn't working. Numerous attempts to increase the temperature/re-set the system from reception all failed. We were offered an alternative room on the same floor. Same problem. Cold room. Heating not working. (Another room opposite, which was being serviced, was equally-cold with the thermostat showing 'error'). We told reception and then went for dinner in the on-site restaurant (very nice but the bill was wrong and we'd been charged for drinks we'd ordered, but which they didn't have in stock. This was corrected once pointed out). Afterwards, reception offered us yet another room (different floor and location) and that was properly heated, and very comfortable. Overall, not up to this hotel's usual standard. Cold rooms in UK hotels is becoming a recurrent theme so it is one of my pet hates. That said, the staff did resolve the issue to our satisfaction so, "well done" on that score.

Great stay at the Doubletree Hotel, quick couple of minutes walk to airport entrance and same for metro station. Warm chocolate cookie on arrival which was a nice surprise. Ate in the restaurant which was really good too. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

I was expecting a lot more from such a prestigious name in hotels. The breakfast was terrible & overheard another guest say that there is an additional charge for anything otger than srandard coffee with your breakfast 😳 As i stated just expected much more from them!

Booked for an early morning flight, location is perfect for the airport and would use again. Room very nice and comfortable. Booked half board and included diner was tasty. Breakfast buffet was decent but the bacon was really inedible which was really disappointing. Great staff who are very helpful, a lovely bunch.
