I have booked holidays with Expedia for over a decade and have always found the staff courteous and helpful. This hotel was petty and my check in was awful. Whenever I book a hotel, I tick pool. This is important to me as I swim at home daily. In the Radisson Blu list it stated pool. Because it stated “pool” I understood this to include a pool as with every hotel I’ve ever stayed in which stated “pool”. But oh no, not this hotel. The pool was €25 per session. I was told this was because it included the Spa. But on the amenities section, The Spa was listed separately. I only wanted to use the pool. Eventually I was given a one session pass, which I used today. The Spa included a sauna, steam room and pool for the astounding price of €25 for up to 2.5hours. Plus only VIP guests qualified for towelling robes. So guess what? I wasn’t a VIP guest so I dripped and was very cold in the lift to the changing rooms one floor above. Finally, there were 2 bottles of complimentary water in my room. On the second day I phoned down to ask for more. You guessed it - no more complimentary water. I have never stayed in any star hotel where water was rationed. My past hotels included a guest house in Chitwain , Nepal where a crate of bottled water was left out each day, a 2* inn in Wells - two bottles every day. I’ve just checked and this is listed as a 4* hotel. Well sorry Radisson Blu, Latvia, and elsewhere in the world, you are not on my list again.

Godt hotel og god morgenmad. Dog under alt kritik at vi som familie ikke fik værelser ved siden af hinanden eller bare i det mindste på samme etage. At man også skal betale for at bruge deres pool er vanvittigt. Priserne er skyhøje, 25 euro for voksne og 10 euro for børn. Børn må i øvrigt ikke være der efter kl 15 samt din billet kun gælder 2 timer. Deres udendørs pool var under renovation, i juli måned. Håbløst.

Great location, super close to Old Riga, attentive staff, incredible views from our room, great skybar with some tasty cocktails. Spa (pool, multiple sauna rooms) was included in the room price and it was the highlight of our stay. So peaceful and relaxing. Everything was perfect. We can't wait to come back

Fresh hotel, good location with closeness to old town and the new part of riga. Spa facilities were lovely, booked a treatment so enjoyed time in the spa on 6th floor Spacious room, shame it was on a low level of the lower building mening view was a roof and the other hotel block. Breakfast area was so cold, no heating and vents blowing cold air. Roof bar area was nice and lovely drinks and food

Frukosten vad medioker. Väldigt mycket folk på restaurangen. Damen som stekte omeletter vid frukosten gav ett surt intryck och suckade när jag bad om en omelett. SPA-avdelningen var kraftigt överbefolkad med gäster. Vi tilldelades heller inga morgonrockar samt att det inte fanns några solstolar att ligga på. Totalupplevelsen var maximalt 2/5 för hela vistelsen. Jag kommer inte att bo här igen.

It’s great, convenient and close to everything! My only thing is to access the spa and pool then you have to pay extra. We choose this for this reason but have to pay 25 euro for adult and 10 for kids.

Note the hotel has a busy night club which generates quiet some noise and drunken people in the lobby. The staff were kind to upgrade us when we noted the noise (upon arrival a Friday night, where the lobby area was rather lively, and the entrance was packed with smokers) to a higher floor on the opposite side of the building to enjoy a quiet stay. Much appreciated. The room was comfortable and had a nice view of the small park. Details that could be worked on (in addition to the night club factor): Cleaning of the room was superficial (they didn’t remove a broken water glass, e.g.), the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the eggs station at breakfast forgot our order - but overall we had a pleasant stay.

There was a note of “Green housekeeping program” that on 2nd and 3rd day they change towels without cleaning and donate one Euro to countries needs in water. However, they never change towels on 1st, 2nd 3rd day. I don’t understand the intention correctly? I asked reception and they promptly changed towels. Otherwise no change of towels and cups and glasses for 7 days. I regret hanging the tag of green housekeeping.

When arriving in the hotel the reception staff didn’t explain anything.The first room we were given had noticeable marks and chips on the walls,shattered tiles in the bathroom and when we got into the shower and tried to turn it on the shower handle fell off and you could see it was all moldy and had been glued back. We then called reception regarding this and after 20 minutes heard nothing back,then we called again and were advised an engineer was coming to our room.A cleaner came to our room who quickly realized it was an engineer we needed as previously mentioned. Then after another 20 minutes an engineer arrived and we were advised it would be another half an hour until he could fix it,so we asked to change rooms.We had been traveling since the morning and just wanted to have a shower and this was extremely frustrating.We went to reception and we were advised we were upgraded to a tower room with a complimentary drink and spa voucher.But upon arriving in that room,the view was nice but the rest of the room was horrible and extremely outdated.Then we came back down and said we weren’t happy with this room and then changed us to a standard room again but didn’t provide the vouchers for this disappointing experience.The third room they gave us had a tiny window,which can’t be opened and a broken toilet seat.At this point we just gave up and settled,as we just wanted to shower after a long day of traveling.Wouldn’t recommend this hotel and not coming back.Breakfast was nice.

This is my fourth work trip in Riga and I’ve always stayed at Radisson Blu Latvija. Great breakfast, comfortable bed, kettle with complimentary water, coffee and tea in the room, ideal conference space all make it a great place to stay. The waiting time at reception was longer than usual (some guests just took their time and didn’t care there was already a long queue) but the reception ladies were always friendly m. The WiFi was a bit unstable and kept disconnecting - that needs improvement (security-wise, might be better to password-protect it), but all in all it’s still one of my favorite hotels (and I travel many times a year).

(+) We booked a Premium room with an Old Riga view, got a room on a floor 22 and the view was absolutely amazing. Best place to watch New year’s fireworks. We were allowed to check out late on 1 January without extra charge. (-) Room temperature won’t go higher than +21 even if heating switched to max. When we arrived it was barely +20 but floor in the bathroom was so hot you can’t even stand on it. No floor heating switch in the room so called the technician and asked to turn it down a bit but afterwards it just cooled down and stopped heating at all. Furniture is worn out. Some lights are not working, closet’s door is standing open because the lock is broken. Carpet stained and dirty. A French fry was left on the floor from previous guests. Top mattress on the bed is smaller than the main mattress. Bedding with lint. No kids bathrobe or slippers. We couldn’t use spa on the check in day because kids are not allowed there on weekends and holidays after 15:00. No info about that when booking. Spa itself is small, just a pool, jacuzzi and 3 saunas, and therefore crowded. There’s some restriction on capacity of spa zone so people are queuing to get in. Pool felt cold however it’s stated as +28, doubting it’s true. Very disappointed by no Birthday greeting from the hotel.

Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. We were so disappointed during our stay. The location was OK, the other radisson would’ve been a better choice for location. We were on the 6th floor and Friday and Saturday night we could hear the bass from the club downstairs until 5am. I had The air conditioning running since my arrival as it was probably close to 28 degrees in the room upon arrival and it was still incredibly warm my entire stay. There was stains on the box spring of the mattress and lamp shade. There’s no outlets in the bathroom so have fun if you need to use hair tools besides a blow dryer. Pillows were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever used. View was nice, skyline bar was expensive but cool, and front desk staff was friendly, that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. I stayed at a 2 star property right before this one in another Baltic country which was way nicer than this one.

The hotel delivered as usual with a high level of service with a personal touch. The Junior Suite gave me very good control of the room temperatur during the night. Something I often miss. Only thing I was missing was double sink's in the bathroom.

The hotel is centrally located in Riga, recommend tower rooms for view of city as one of the tallest buildings in Riga. Rooms are excellent, brunch is fantastic with touch of customer services including water with fruit available during the day near the reception desk. Old Riga is easy walking distance for super experience of outdoor patios & many sites to see. Impressive is police presence in the tourist area for any safety measures.

The hotel is in a great location overlooking a park and old town. The staff was very helpful and polite. Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Limited on site parking with low ceiling in the garage but it’s secure and clean. Would stay again if in the area.

Quick but memorable stay. The breakfast in the morning is superb - smoked fish, pickled fish, veggies and fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, outameal and much more. And they can even make you eggs per your request.The staff is cordial and attentive. Helped us with taxi service which was exceptional.We can't wait to stay there again.

Har bodd på hotellet før og vært veldig fornøyd. Denne gang superior-room, svarte ikke til forventningene. Det «vanlige» rommet jeg hadde sist var finere. Jeg fikk i den gamle fløyen, rommet virket slitt og kaldt. Dyr frokost og det var 30 min ventetid på omelett.
