The hotel is fantastic. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The spa is excellent and on an evening 7-10pm only over 16s are allowed in which made it more relaxing. The breakfast had a huge selection and very tasty. Would love to stay again.

Wirklich schönes Hotel, Zimmer sind geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet und das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Wellnessbereich war auch super mit 4 verschiedenen Saunen, einem Whirlpool und kleinem Schwimmbecken.

So clean! Lovely staff, brakefast also lovely. Late checkout without extra cost. Very nice spa facillity but the hottub was 5 degrees to cold. We will be back for out 5th stay in this fine hotel

Very beautiful hotel in a great location and top service. Spacious beautiful rooms. They just need to make a few tweaks to become 10/10. For example a five star hotel of this caliber should have toothpaste and a Espresso machine in the room. The television needs to be updated so the guest can use their own streaming services such as Netflix. Also the spa is almost great. They have everything but the jacuzzi is half warm, the sauna that supposed to be 100 degrees is only 82 etc. Small tweaks and this would be perfect. Staff is already 10/10.

We had a fantastic stay in Grand Poet Hotel. We booked the Deluxe room and we were given room 419, which had a fantastic view over the park and Riga old town. There was plenty of room for 3 people including our son. Room was tastefully decorated and super clean. We utilized the valet parking which was really convenient. Charge was 30 Euros per night. Hotel was walking distance from everything, including all the nice restaurants in the old town. SPA was nice, but a bit overcrowded at all times. Highly recommended.

Everything about the hotel was excellent except the spa area. We paid extra to use the facility however only used it twice as it was very noisy with people talking loudly and young children splashing about in the pool. Not a relaxing spa experience at all

My husband and I were there last weekend and we loved it! Everything was 5*, from check in to check out, just amazing. Very kind staff, the receptionist was very helpful! Beautiful big rooms, beautiful building, great SPA! The breakfast was one of the best ever with champagne served, the pastry section was amazing. We just loved everything about this hotel!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast buffet, nice spa, great location on beautiful park right next to Old Town. Unfortunately, my bath drain was clogged when I arrived and I had to get it fixed on three separate occasions during my five-night stay. While response from staff was immediate, they did not seem particularly concerned when i approached front desk staff the final time and told them this had already happened already two times prior. Overall, nice stay, but 5 stars is a bit generous.

Et magisk hotel, med det fineste spa. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet med bobler og en kok der laver friske forsyninger ved buffeten, udover det ellers ret store udvalg. Lækkert stort værelse med æstestik, flotte tunge mørklægningsgardiner, minibar, det fineste store badeværelse med badekar, sildebens marmorfliser og morgenkåber. Virkelig pænt og rent. Personalet er venlige og meget behjælpelige. Beliggenheden er perfekt - lige midt imellem “Old town” og Centr. Man er i gåafstand til alle byens seværdigheder og skønne parker. Sidst men ikke mindst, er der det skønneste spa område, med saltsauna, dampbad, 2 alm. saunaer, svømmebassin og boblebad, isfontæne og koldtvandsbrus. Dette hotel kan klart anbefales, og vi kommer meget gerne igen.

The hotel was immaculately maintained and had a lovely ambience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was extensive and enjoyable. And most importantly, we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep for each of our two nights stay. Thoroughly recommended.

It is indeed a nice hotel with a great location to explore Riga. But: I got a room, where the floor would vibrate when people outside would walk by. So much that I could feel it in the bed, and the bottles in the minibar where rattling all night long. It was not the best experience I must say.

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is lovely; however, they have music playing in the corridors, and it is supposed to go off at 11 pm. It didn't on our first night? We weren't sure whether it was someone singing in the building next door. We complained abiut the music. The 2nd night, we had a couple above us shouting all night, and again, we hardly slept at all. We complained twice, and eventually they asked them to stop talking at 3-5 am! They gave us some prosecco for the first night and upgraded us to a suite for our last night, where we didn't hear any noise. I suggest that they stop playing music in the corridors. It doesn't always turn off!

We had a great stay at the Grand Poet hotel. We had a slight issue with a noisy adjoining room at first but they moved us to a different room straightaway. The rooms are big and we had a nice view of the city whilst still being quiet. There was a great selection for breakfast and the spa/pool was lovely. The staff were all very helpful and on my birthday we came back to find a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. Would definitely recommend.

We were really looking forward to our stay as it was my husband’s first time visiting Riga. I had seen the hotel on a previous visit & loved the location beside the park. Unfortunately - we were allocated a small, dark room at the back of the hotel that was looking directly onto the walls & windows of other rooms. If you choose this hotel, pay the extra for a room with a view. Disappointing as we were staying for 3 nights. Because of this I would not return.

Very disappointing stay here. I could barely use the toilet as there is very little space around the toilet (see pics). We raised this problem with reception who only offered us a room for the next day. At a 5 star hotel we thought it was reasonable to at least expect to comfortably use the toilet in our room. The air-conditioning in the room is completely ineffective, it didn’t cool down the room. Had to open the windows at night time to try to cool it down. There is traffic noise from the road and the room vibrates/shakes when a heavy vehicle drives by. The spa is very small, with a small swimming pool. The facilities are very small and in close quarters. There aren’t even changing rooms. The shower didn’t regulate the temperature properly, so it was constant waves of too hot and too cold water whilst showering. The water pressure was also poor. The room and bathroom were small and depressing. We checked out 1 day early and booked another hotel as it was too depressing to stay here.

We had a relaxing stay at this cozy and charming hotel with polite staff and within walking distance to the all great things in Riga. We had a minor issue with the hotel that was an honest mistake and they apologised, took care of us and have earned our future business. We hope your stay was as good as ours.

Seul bémol : vu le nombre de chambres, les équipements communs sont trop faiblement dimensionnés, ce qui provoque de longues attentes à l’accueil pour le check-in et le check-out, au petit-déjeuner (par ailleurs très bien !) pour obtenir une table ou encore des équipements bien-être (piscine, sauna, hammam) saturés. All staff members were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Restaurant food is great and cocktails were fab. Facilities are very good, spa is really lovely and the rooms are very well thought out. Decoration and cleanliness is wonderful throughout. Very close to both Old Town Riga and the Art Nouveau district

Great location and near the park, freedom monument, old town etc touristy area. Walkable distance to most of the attractions and you dont need to do do taxi. Friendly staff. Great new rooms. Awesome buffet breakfast. Highly recommended hotel. Glad I chose this place. Definitely stay here for future travels to Riga.

Excellent hotel near the old town & everything within walking distance. Was here over new year. Disappointed that the bar was closed by 12.30 on New Year’s Eve. Breakfast was excellent but the plates were cold everything you would want for breakfast was there. Spa was excellent first day was so busy so we decided to go after breakfast about 9 am & in the evening about 8 was quiet. & more manageable a lot of kids in during the day. Will definitely go back here.

Overall good experience. Clean, luxurious feeling. Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from. SPA was nice. Very good location. Only small minus i can think of is, the mattress of the bed is quite hard. Was not really a problem for us because we are used to a bit harder beds, but take this into consideration when choosing your hotel - if you like soft beds, this will most likely be a problem for you.
