Excellent hotel in convenient central location in heart of the old town, making it perfect to use as a base from which to explore Riga. Hotel staff on reception were super professional and friendly. I sent a request prior to arrival asking if I could be allocated a quiet room (being a light sleeper and worried about noise from bars and stag parties!) and was given a perfect choice tucked away at end of corridor facing courtyard. Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was incredible - huge choice of options, hot and cold. Spa was closed for maintenance (was informed of this in advance by email) and was offered alternative facilities at sister hotel five mins away. Amazing, loved it here and would 100% stay here again. Thank you!

Spa center closed the complete stay. No information and no compensation. Terrible customer service - we only chose this hotel for the spa. The breakfast time is to 11:00, however one day at the morning they decided to change to 10:30. No information about that the day before. How is it possible to offer that kind of terrible service?

Lækkert hotel som ligger meget centralt. Man kan gå til alt. Hotellet er pænt og godt. Dog er sengene hårde. Morgenmaden var god. Der er spa afdeling, dette koster dog ekstra 18€ pr. Person og man skal bestille tid. Dette er lige i overkanten til hvad der er i spa afdelingen.

Fantastic location, walking distance to everything in old town and Art Nouveau district. Shopping center around the corner with food court on top floor. Don’t use airport shuttle - it costs around 30€ compared to 9€ bolt or bus 1.5€ p/pers (no 22). Pool is a scam - costs 18€ per person per use, so the main picture advertising the hotel is basically a scam! Breakfast- ok. Staff - well… they are not used to smile, be friendly neither distance themselves from their ego, but I guess this is their culture sculpt by the influence of their eastern conquerors…

The hotel was nice and very well located. But two odd things which were disappointing: 1. I didn't realise that as a hotel resident I'd need to book to go in the pool. When i went down it was fully booked that day and for the rest of my stay. 2. Rooms are only cleaned if you put a green tag on the door. This was not explained so i went all four days without the room being cleaned, the bed made, the bin emptied or the coffee supplies replenished. When i asked this was billed as a "green " thing. I agree that as hotel guests we don't need our sheets and towels changed every day..but that doesn't mean we don't want any housekeeping at all. It shouldn't be all or nothing!

A very disappointing stay. This is not a 4* hotel. We had travelled from a lovely hotel in Tallinn, Estonia and were immediately disappointed with this hotel after check-in. Small, clunky lifts and a terrible smell of drains in the corridor. A very basic, lifeless and dated room. The bathroom was not clean and needed a refresh, ie. Dirt stuck on the door and to the grout in the shower. The bathroom floor was flooded everytime the shower was used and the hand wash had not been refilled. We came back late in the evening to find the bed extremely loud, creaky and uncomfortable. I went down to reception to report the problem and was informed extra bedding would be bought to us within an hour in an attempt to make it more comfortable. I asked what we were supposed to do regarding the bed creaking - it was extremely loud and sleep disturbing - to be told we wouldn’t be able to switch rooms until the next day. No bedding arrived and it was very late by this point so we put up with the bed as it was. It was very difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. Again, a very dated system. The rooms are not soundproof, we could hear other guests playing music and chatting in corridor. The TV is very basic with no YouTube/Netflix/English programmes. In the end we stayed out for as long as possible and just used it as a place to shower and sleep (badly). Overall, I would not recommend this hotel at all, I certainly won’t be returning. It is definitely not a 4* hotel.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Let us check in early which was appreciated. Would be nice if there was at least one bottle of complementary water, or a fountain somewhere to fill bottles. Room was generally clean however the shower floor needs a good clean or redoing as there was mould in between the tiles. I’d stay again though. Location is very convenient and the breakfast was decent. Decaf options would improve the selection as well as syrup and nuts for the pancakes as shown on the picture in the lift. The picture got my hopes up!

Very worn down and tired property. The bathroom floor was with cracked tiles and the front of the bathtub was crocked. The room was also very cold. The floor of the room was filthy. I dropped a pair of socks under the bed and had to look, which I wish I didn't. The property is nowhere close to "upscale" as described. Staff was not welcoming or helpful. Access to the"spa" have to be booked in advance, so even though we had spa access included in the price, we could not enter the first day. We went the second, but we didn't miss much. The "spa" is a tiny pool filled with children - and no atmosphere at all. The breakfast was alright.

Dejligt hotel med den bedste lokation, perfekt med en 1-årig. Dog ked af at vi ikke måtte besøge poolen med den lille, da vi bookede hotellet netop pga den. Fin rengøring, men kunne godt have været bedre på gulvet.

The location is really the only thing I like about this place. You have to schedule an appointment and pay €18 to use the pool? So strange. Also the shower was dirty and the rugs were dirty.

Conveniently located but our room faced the street and was very noisy at night ( upto 3am on a Tuesday morning) the rooms do have air conditioning but it wasn't operational in May .3 Reception told us twice that they would turn it on but didn't. The noise outside from the street meant we had to keep the window closed which led to an uncomfortable nights sleep

The bed was too soft. They use two beds to make up a king, but they were slightly different sizes so there was a distinct gap between them making it quite uncomfortable. It was also very noisy. Lots of bars down the street that meant that people partying made lots of noise all night. Paid extra to have I limit access to the spa area, but you have to book in advance and only get 1.5 hours to use the facilities

The hotel has a good breakfast service and in the evening a nice restaurant for dinner. The TV is inside the room 104 on a bad position mounted. You can easily hit your head on it, when you go out from the bed. The refrigerator was not really getting cold.

Check-in staff are excellent. However, it was really hot in the room and they turn the air-com off at the end of august so sleep was difficult. This was further disturbed by the MASSIVE noise and bass music to about 3am (not the hotel's fault, but added to the horrible night's sleep over friday and saturday night). There are no glasses for water - just wine glasses, which are not practical for a bedside table. You have to refill water from the corridor - no complimentary bottle when you arrive. For room service it's opt-in, which is environmental - but if you forget in the morning, no clean towels for you. The spa reception staff (except the masseurs and Alina and Lina who were all great) were argumentative and surly. They force you to book on the internet even when you tell them "it doesn't work" (their response is: :"it must"). Then they don't get back to you at all, then you have to do downstairs and book in in person in the first place - which defeats the 'relaxing' element of a spa.

We wanted an early check in and informed the hotel the day before arrival. They replied that it will be confirmed at check in. When arriving, they couldn't offer early check in. It would have been nicer to have the possibility confirmed over email rather than having that information not until arriving since it makes sense that they should have had an overview of available rooms by the time we asked. Breakfast was nice, a bit too crowded but I guess we got there during peak hour. By the tea station, they had a bowl saying it was "lemon" but was clearly orange pieces. Spa was a nice perk. Possibility to access it once a day. The eucalyptus steam room was extremely nice. Well centered in old town, so expect some loud music from outside.

The only reason why I have given this hotel a low score is that as we were packing and getting ready to leave we received a knock on the door from a member of staff telling us in no uncertain terms that we should have checked out the previous day ( this was not the case) and that they allegedly tried to contact us. And that we should go to the reception. At the reception we asked about the issue with our booking it would appear that their customer reception service policy has allegedly not been updated since 1991 as the response at reception was short and to the point ''system error'' while this was only a small matter/error a simple apology would have been nice !. We also stayed at the sister hotel 'Riga spa' which is close by, and would have no hesitation in staying there again when visiting Riga.

Fint og rent eldre hotell, veldig sentralt med fint spa. Litt gatestøy med det må du regne med når du har hotell midt i Old Town. God variert frokost. Sitteomtådet i foajé kunne godt vært litt større.

Beliggenhed kan næsten ikke blive bedre. Midt i den gamle by, gåafstand til stort set alt og nem adgang til/fra lufthavnen med bus 22. God stor morgenmadsbuffet. Mindre, men pænt og rent værelse. Vores værelse havde badekar, og du skal ikke være alt for besværet, så kan du ikke komme over badekarskanten, der var ret høj. Sengene var for hårde til mig, og man kunne mærke fjedrene. Men alt i alt et godt ophold, og jeg kan kun anbefale Wellton Centrum.

We really liked our stay at Wellton City Spa. Nice, clean room and service minded staff. Very good breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated close to bars and nightclubs so expect noise from outside during the night.

Overall this is a decent hotel. Room was reasonably sized and very clean. Furnishings a bit on the cheap side - bed and pillows were not great. Breakfast was ok albeit some of the items offered would not meet the standards of a top hotel or may be different to what you may be used to elsewhere (e.g. the 'orange juice' is clearly not from fresh oranges or even normal concentrate, the sausages are not normal sausages, all of the apples available each morning were long past their best and would not be considered sellable in a supermarket etc). Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Staff are generally quite direct but polite/efficient.

Stort flott rom, god plass til 3 voksne.Litt slitent på vegger i dusj. Flott frokost mye forskjellig og med bobler.. Hyggelig persjonale. Stiv pris i restauranten og lite service der trekker ned totalen dessverre. Beliggenhet topp for oss som ikke klarte å gå langt. Kommer gjerne igjen.
