Boutique Hotel Monte Kristo

Convenient, public transport and bus to airport one minute away. Right in the heart of Riga. Shame about the noise coming from backpackers hostel (Naughty Squirrel) and its karaoke. Rooms small and no luxury, but beds were comfortable, the main thing. Breakfast was fine, but leave the confined space and go and sit outside on up terrace!

Great location in old town, close to public transportation. Very tasty breakfast. We had junior suite, that was really nice: fridge, ac and jacuzzi in our room. The hotel restaurant offers tasty food for a very reasonable price.

Perfect location for exploring and has a lovely patio area to sit with a drink. The cave restaurant has about 4 tables and the breakfast room the same so be prepared to sit outside for breakfast. The buffet was small and fairly cold, few items missing from the beginning. The room did the job but wasn’t very clean, dusty lamps and side tables but a bag of something left in the fridge (assuming from the previous occupier).

Well positioned friendly staff could do with a larger dining area it’s very cramped and dark no street noise but walls are thin you hear every footstep and voices from the corridor overall very good value for a weekend away

This hotel is right in the centre of Riga and very close to the No.22 bus stop that goes to the airport. It is just a few mins walk to the Central market and all the delights of the Old Town, It's quirky and the rooms are dated but there was everything you needed including good WiFi. Downstairs in a cellar type area, they serve a good breakfast, and in the evening there is a good restaurant menu, very reasonably priced

Vi viste godt at værelset var lille. Fint badeværelse. Morgenmaden var en katastrofe. Man kunne hverken komme frem eller tilbage. Stod i kø. Brødet var skiveskåret kommenbrød og tørt toastbrød. Omeletten var vandet, juicen var saftevand. Bacon blødt og slattten. Pandekagerne var gode. En langsom kaffemaskine. Vi var der 3 dage og det var det samme hver dag. Plus var at det lå meget centralt.

It was a terrible hotel. Elevator can not go to the floor which you stay. Need carry luggage by yourself. The rm has strong toilet smell. The carpet is so dirty that you do not have words to describe. Totally terrible hotel

建物は歴史を感じさせる趣でしたが、室内は綺麗で清潔でした。 スタッフも忘れ物をしっかりと管理してくれていて、信用できます。

The Monte Kristo hotel is located in the old town and walking distance to all attractions. We were greeted warmly by the girl at the front desk. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of items. Our only complaint about the Hotel Monte Kristo is how dated it is. It really could use a good renovation. The carpets were quite dirty and old and the room seemed very gloomy due to the dark colours and design of the curtains and bedspreads.

Ute området / terassen var skittent. På morgenen var ikke bord tørket av/vasket. Luktet kloakk , også på rommet .

Günstiges Hotel am Rande der Altstadt. Gut gelegen in der Nähe der Busstation zum/vom Flughafen, zur Tram und fußläufig zum Bahnhof und zum Fernbusterminal. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man an der ein- oder anderen Stelle auch merkt, aber das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett bequem.

Our room has good hot water. TV needs more English channels. Going to bathroom in the night very dangerous for some as there are some steps to washroom! Steps have nails sticking out, can cut or rip your clothes!! Walkable to the Old town. Very close to the shopping center, has a supermarket with cooked food/drinks/fruits, open every day until 10pm. Central market also short walk, more eating options there. Easy to walk from main bus station or railway station.

Staff is super nice, helpful. Walls are paper thin so you will hear everything in hallways and rooms above. Temperature of room was good on cold days but I don’t think the linens were fresh which was disturbing. Great location! Right across from public transit to airport. Super easy to get around.

We had a junior suite room, which was spacious with a table and chairs in a cove next to the window. The room was nice, although awkwardly shaped. The bathroom was large and modern with a huge Jacuzzi tub. The bed mattress was a bit too soft for our liking through and we could feel the springs inside. The breakfast area is small with the tables tightly packed. There is a good variety of hot and cold items to choose from and the staff did a great job in keeping everything topped off. The downside is probably true of just about anything in the old town--the street life is noisy. So you'll have to be willing to contend with that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Monte Kristo Hotel and would recommend it.

Love the interior and the decor! Big beautiful suite with jacuzzi and sauna. Personally I think they could improve the room by adding a comfortable armchair, and replacing the A/C with a newer and less noisy one. The ancient TV and CD player was useless for me personally, but that's OK. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast was tasty, but served in a cramped space. But once you get your food you can take it outside and enjoy it in the cozy backyard, which is very nice. The location of the hotel in the old town is excellent, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

Breakfast was very good, the rooms were clean.. however in room 333 the saddle board on entry to the bathroom is too high, as a result my partner tripped & fell inwards resulting in a drop which again was very deep....

they gave me an absurd room without windows, with a very uncomfortable bathroom and where you could not turn off the air conditioner so it was incredibly cold!

Superior location for old town, central market, shopping, restaurants and public transportation to airport and beaches. The conditioning is very noisy and inadequate in power so if you are at all sensitive for noise and hot room at night, this may be not correct choice. Breakfast was satisfactory in this price range.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location in the Old Town. Room was a little on the small side but manageable. Would stay here again

a great hotel for a suitable price. Arturs @ reception was extremely kind and helpful, also, Katerine and Ksenija were very kind and professional during stay.

First, hotel's on a no traffic street. Had to lug my bags down long cobblestone road. Then, hotel entry has 9 steps to take bags down. Aleksander did so for me. Odd man. Interrupts repeatedly. Not polite, but has good, helpful side. Wanted elevator. So, placed in room on 1st floor, but with steps going down. Then given 2nd room. Too small. Offered superior room, 7€ more per day.Took. TV didn't work. Excuse was change in cable. Blamed govt banning Russian TV channels. Went on all week. Fridge didn't work until fixed. Safe hard to see keyhole in dark. Steps in room. Breakfast OK, but in cramped room, everyone pushing, hard to move. Artur better staffer, but when I returned from short trip, having been offered same room at original rate, he gave papers to sign at 50% more. Insisted I'd booked it that way. I showed Hotels.com paperwork and also online proof it was same price as before. He was very annoying. I held my ground. He called supervisor. Much conversation and then admitted staff member made mistake. I'd cancelled one reservation listing me with 2 guests, then rebooked. Too complicated for other staff, who chose canceled reservation for 2nd booking. All staff seemed unmoved at difficulty in getting cab to go to bus station, first saying it would meet at Gallery Ctr, really far to walk with bags. Finally, I just walked where cab dropped me and vowed never to return. Note to myself: Ask hotel if on street where cars can take you to door. Also, no rooms with stairs.

Staff are very friendly and helpful hotel is excellent for location to local bars shops and transportation,rooms are very nice clean ,second time here I cant recommend this hotel enough.

We had an excellent stay in Riga and this hotel. Good located and really serviceminded personell. We where leaving the hotel very early morning and the staff made us take away breakfast.

立地は最高です。22番空港バス乗り場まで3分です。歴史を感じるホテルですが、リガ自体が近代的に変わっており、回りには近代的ホテルが多いので、好きな人にはお勧めでしょうか。朝食も極普通です。

De locatie is prima, het personeel stroef tot zeer vriendelijk maar het ontbijt is een ramp. Geen of nauwelijks plek, lange wachttijden bij slechts 1 koffieapparaat, regelmatig kaas, bacon, brood of pancakes niet meer beschikbaar.

My room was old style chic , equipped with AC and even a fan! Pillows and mattress were comfy. Staff was extremely kind and the included breakfast excellent. The pancakes or crepes were superb . It is a cosy boutique hotel in the historical centre close to Riga Landmarks I recommend it
