The neighbors we had for the week were super cool, but the beds sucked and it needed updates. The pool was flashed all over Expedia but at the time we reserved the pool had been out of commission for over a year I believe. The locals that lived there told us it's been a hot minute since they've seen it filled up.

The ice maker was broken,the only toilet paper in the place is what was on the roll, which was less than half full, there were no cups for water when when brushed our teeth. It had a kitchenette but no utensils or plates, pots and pans, etc. no shampoo or condition. While my husband found the bed suitable, I was up every hour in pain.

The room itself was dirty. The stove was dirty mirrors were dirty streaks on all. The carpet looked dirty and not vacuumed. No essentials in the restroom such as shampoo and or conditioner no blow dryer. Have a kitchen no basic essentials from cook ware to anything not even dish soap. Drawer in entertainment was filthy hadn’t been cleaned or wiped down. No hangers in closet and not even a bag for dirty clothes. No ice machine. Staff were shoe less and in a McDonald’s shirt. It was nice to have a full fridge and sink, along with dishes and cups. But there was no dish soap to clean them. There was also no shampoo, conditioner, tissues, makeup wipes, or body wash. The pool was the best part and the man who cleaned it was very kind. However, there were cigarette holes in the bedspreads and the toilet was disgusting. You get what you pay for.

Worst place I've ever stayed. Creepy characters hung around this place, making it feel unsafe. Check-in required signing a document about accepting rates, but the document stated no rates and check-in and check-out days were the same day (check-in day). Service personnel was unfriendly - too many bad experiences with bad characters? Dirty (hair from previous guests in the bathroom). Advertises a kitchen but doesn't even have a spoon, class, or cup. All you get for bedding is a flimsy sheet and old thin pillows. Cigarette smoke from outside drifts into the room. Constant noise outside from the main road and, frequently, trains. Also advertises a pool, which was closed. Bad vibes all around.

The cleaning guy opened the door with out knocking and saw me naked doing my yoga. The. He yelled at me andy husband and children that we would be charged an extra day because we, according to him , was late checking out . How wr we had inquired and gotten a late check out. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and tried her best to help us. Parking is extremely tight.

I'm giving it a higher than usual rating compared to other guest reviews because it is the lowest price in town and the property isn't that bad due to that lower price. I especially like the small kitchenette even though this is not a suite as it is just a basic room with two beds this kitchenette has a stove a microwave a full size almost a full size refrigerator. I'm not giving it full Stars because they don't provide any ice and when asked was told that it is broken. That big refrigerator made up for the shortcoming because I was able to create ice for my own using the freezer in the refrigerator with bottled water

We got in at 130 in the morning. We would have gone somewhere else if we had known how bad this place was. Beds hard as a rock. Bedding was disgusting. No hand towels, just one towel and one wash cloth. the room smelled really bad. It was a old building. They said all rooms were non smoking. It smelled horrible. got bit by some bug.

Parking is very tight. Our room smelled of stale smoke. Had to let it air out. Designated smoking area was next to our room and would drift in. Room was clean but dated. Not bad for the price paid

They don't actually have non smoking rooms due to "poor ventilation" the room was worn. And the bedding and towels didn't have that bleach clean smell. Then to top it off we had cockroaches.

Horrible place. TV didn't work.... I mean, it turned on.!, but the picture was absolutely bad... I mean REALLY bad.. Also one of the beds was broken and leaning to one side.... And the ULTIMATE... there was, what i THINK ( didn't want to find out ) was dried blood in the bathroom sink.!!

We had booked two nights but left after the first night. The room was filthy, stained box springs, stained carpets, stained walls, loose and chipped tiles (sharp edges) in the bathroom, apparent cigarette burns on the tub, crumbling plaster around the shower. And there were trains that blew their whistles all night. A really terrible experience.

No kitchen utensils TV not working curtains not latching/ overlapping guest can be seen from outside. Blanket has holes, asked for a toilet paper roll receptionist said there’s additional charge for it. Very poor customer service

The stove or burners in the kitchenette didn't work. Full size fridge came in handy. The room was good sized and the bed was comfortable, although the bedspread was pretty ratty. Close to about everything. Served its purpose.

My non-smoking room reeked and the pillows also smelled of smoke. The staff was great, but this property needs a serious refresh. Also, the wi-fi in my end of the building was unusable.

This is a very basic room, no utensils or dishes in the kitchen. The other occupants in the motel were pretty sketchy, but we didn’t have any problems. Front desk closes early so you have to use the phone located outside the front door to call if arriving after-hours, but the man working the night shift was friendly and responsive. It was a good bargain for the price. Would stay here again.

Pathetic experience. My booking was cancelled by hotel. I didn't receive any text or email. I got to know when i reached there at 8 PM night after travelling around 500 miles. When i enquired, how is it possible, they informed to check with hotels.com. Hotel staff was rude. They didn't even gave time to contact customer care and I was asked to leave. I was stranded at a new place with my family. It felt terrible.

We didn’t get to stay on the property because there was a storm and it set off the power outage, but we had already paid for our room and signed all the papers and everything and he told us to come back because our room wasn’t clean. We came back and he couldn’t give us a room because their power went out so I sent all the maid services home. Which left us without a room! Which we paid for and they refused to refund us that money

We checked in and received room keys. Took luggage to room and room was dirty from previous stay. Went to front desk and informed them. Let them know we were headed out for dinner so they could turn room over while we were gone. Returned to room and only 1 bed had a bed cover. Went back to front desk and nobody was there because they leave at 8pm. Entire room smelled like cigarette smoke our entire stay. We will never stay there again. In addition, when booking the hotel the the website said breakfast was included and that’s not the case. We stayed in room 220 and would appreciate a full refund.

It was a worst decision to book this hotel. They didn’t let me checkin even if i have informed them upfront that I will arrive. Front desk said as I didn’t came before 1.00 am they have given room to someone else and property is fully booked. Common, this should be hotel not school. I had done non-refundable booking and paid already but still they didn’t cared about it. I have not received any communication about processing refund yet. Highly recommend to stay away from this property.
It was a worst decision to book this hotel. They didn’t let me checkin even if i have informed them upfront that I will arrive. Front desk said as I didn’t came before 1.00 am they have given room to someone else and property is fully booked. Common, this should be hotel not school. I had done non-refundable booking and paid already but still they didn’t cared about it. I have not received any communication about processing refund yet. We checked in after hours and the staff member was wonderful. He helped check us in, even switched us to lower floor by request. He was very friendly and so was housekeeping. Clean place and safe neighborhood. I took my dog out for a walk and never felt unsafe. Would definitely stay here again.

I've been coming to Alamogordo for a decade and this is a great choice. It's away from all the other businesses so it's quite after 8 PM. I highly recommend the Suburban.

Worst place I've ever stayed. Creepy characters hung around this place, making it feel unsafe. Check-in required signing a document about accepting rates, but the document stated no rates and check-in and check-out days were the same day (check-in day). Service personnel was unfriendly - too many bad experiences with bad characters? Dirty (hair from previous guests in the bathroom). Advertises a kitchen but doesn't even have a spoon, class, or cup. All you get for bedding is a flimsy sheet and old thin pillows. Cigarette smoke from outside drifts into the room. Constant noise outside from the main road and, frequently, trains. Also advertises a pool, which was closed. Bad vibes all around.

This place is overrun by drug addicts. Very sketchy place. There was a guy passed out on an outside table. DO NOT RENT A ROOM HERE! We ended up leaving because of the people we encountered on the back side of the hotel where our room was located. We seen a woman step out side lighting up a joint. The looks of the website are VERY deceptive.

All in all, it’s a nice hotel with attentive staff. The hotel is right off of Alamogordo’s main street, so that traffic can be a little bothersome. That said, it’s not a fault of the actual staff or hotel.

Sparse but okay. Would stay again for low cost and it was clean. Kitchen had only one sad spoon and fork. Not enough utensils for my husband and I. Really sad kitchen with beat up old mismatched pieces. Looked like they gathered what was thrown out of an elementary school cafeteria.

The pandemic is over according to our government!! There was NO maid service...YOU HAD to gather your dirty towels.... even had to go get your own TP !!!! Carpet had stains !! NO coffee maker in room. There's coffee in the lobby but not until 7:00 AM. UP way before that!!

We checked in and received room keys. Took luggage to room and room was dirty from previous stay. Went to front desk and informed them. Let them know we were headed out for dinner so they could turn room over while we were gone. Returned to room and only 1 bed had a bed cover. Went back to front desk and nobody was there because they leave at 8pm. Entire room smelled like cigarette smoke our entire stay. We will never stay there again. In addition, when booking the hotel the the website said breakfast was included and that’s not the case. We stayed in room 220 and would appreciate a full refund.

This is a very basic room, no utensils or dishes in the kitchen. The other occupants in the motel were pretty sketchy, but we didn’t have any problems. Front desk closes early so you have to use the phone located outside the front door to call if arriving after-hours, but the man working the night shift was friendly and responsive. It was a good bargain for the price. Would stay here again.
