Fairfield by Marriott Los Cabos

Hotel has gotten very run down over the years. Pool deck has broken tiles all around it, only 5 lounger chairs around the entire pool. Gym needs some better equipment. Rooms need updated, mattresses are worn out. Towels and bedding are worn and stained. Could be a great hotel again, but they need to spend some money and bring it back to a Marriott standard. For the price they charge, it should be a way better run hotel, just like it was when they opened it.

Great breakfast buffet, they are pet friendly and the place is clean and well kept, it always has been that way for the last 15 plus years. My only complaint is the only ice machine was on the 3rd floor and I don’t think it even worked very good. The 1st, 2nd and 4th floor ice machines were removed. I hope they can add at least one more ice machine, that’s important for people that have special food or medicine that needs to be kept cold.

I normally don’t complain but, I didn’t know it was under remodeling. Once I paid $200 per night, (not expensive but is something) I received an email saying some areas are under remodeling etc… well they never said those areas are the gym, the pool, the dinner area etc.. everything I supposed to do in my stay. Also due the hurricane the cable (tv) was not working, I understand that is not problem at all) also the Buffett was free, well eggs, beans and rice, with cantaloupe and coffee. The only thing working was the internet 🙏, when I try to at least some discount, the front desk staff was nice but the manager attitude was not the best to deal with, like if he was losing money from his pocket. Anyway hopefully they fix the hotel soon or put the rates lower for the issues. Not coming back!

The staff are super nice! But If you’re planning to sleep, forget it. There’s music blasting all night like you’re stuck in a club you never signed up for, and by the second day you’re completely dead. The hotel is old and dirty, the pool looks sketchy, and the shower never had hot water. Ever. Run away from this place! I don’t know how this is a Marriott!

I like that everything is walking distance if you don't mind being in the heat. If we needed a taxi service the Hotel Staff assisted with that and there was never a wait. Didn't like the the Hotel was under construction/remodeling which didn't allow for the use of its amenities, such as Gym and Pool.

Hotel was under contruction during our entire stay of over 2 weeks. all accomodations were closed. Laundry, pool, gym.. all closed. constante hammering all around, terrible. wish hotel would do something to compensate our bad experience

El agua de la alberca se veía turbia, la persona de recepción muy lenta.

Ruido terrible de los antros que estan enfrente. Y terminan hasta las 3 am. Hace falta lugares de estacionamiento.

No ice, no refrigerators, no lock box

There was two bugs that crawled out of the shower spicket. I only have footage of one. One I flushed. One flesh on the drain. It was unfortunately next to my natural hair. I washed my hair, and extensions and natural hair.

It was quiet. We needed quiet. Very clean and service was very good to us. Will return.

There was mold in the shower! The staff was nice and helpful. I did not expect that from Marriot.

Sheets and towels are worn out. The shower stall was disgusting and drains slowly. Faint sewer smell in the hallway. Music from club across the street was way too loud until 2 a.m. I got sick and needed an ambulance and staff didn’t have proper training in handling emergency situations. I checked out 2 days early due to illness and I was not given a refund. Never again will I stay here.

We only stayed one night and chose this hotel for the location near Medano beach before the check in at our next hotel for the weekend. Check in was smooth, internet was good and bedroom was clean overall, however the next morning we saw the mattress was full of stains. The mattress did have a pad but it did not fully cover the mattress. It was pretty gross.

Lugar en zona adecuada, si te toca en las habitaciones que dan al frente prepárate para tener ruido toda la noche. La limpieza no es la mejor, hubo que insistir varias veces

The front desk was curious but we put our card out twice and room was not cleaned and towels not replaced. The towels were dingy and didn't smell fresh. The loud music from bar next door went on until 4 a.m. every night. Would not recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU PLAN ON SLEEPING!!! Unless you can sleep through a music festival right outside your window, you won’t get any. The hotel itself was ok. Staff were nice. Breakfast average with not much choice. Bed quite comfortable. Bedding could have been better with a blanket or doona. The worst part of this place is the club/bar across the road. Loud music is played ALL night. It went until 5am. Then started up again around lunchtime. I could not get any sleep at all at this place and was so happy to leave. I was not warned about this. Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere. Beware!!!

Noisy next door bar, sometimes till 3:am.

Location is great, we took a bus from the airport and the hotel is located in the main road at the left side, you won’t miss it. The Wi-Fi is also great. I didn’t like the Linens, they are old needs to be replaced. Also hotel needs a good mini fridge, and microwave.

The noise was unbearable. There is a local restaurant across the street that plays super loud music to at least 1-2 am. There was nothing quiet about by stay. I found it very hard to sleep. Very noisy

The room was an OK condition. The tiles felt like they shifted when you stepped on them. The bed was slightly uncomfortable. Once you spent a couple nights in it. It was very loud and I am assuming they just added a new nightclub across the street. We have stayed in this hotel several times and the noise was not there. Housekeeping only seemed to come at a certain time and our room was never cleaned in the four days we were there. We are late sleepers.

There was a dance club across the street that would loudly play music late into the morning till around 3am. I'd recommend a room facing away from it if you are a light sleeper.

Nightclub directly across the street played very loud music until 4am every night which was so o loud it made it impossible to sleep

The karaoke place next door sometimes is playing loud until 4:00 in the morning. Have requested to change rooms to the other side unsuccessfully.

The ac wasn’t cool enough but after that everything was great. The staff was so friendly.

Front desk staff were nice. Couldn’t check in early but they were able to lock up our bags for several hours. The bathroom didn’t have enough towels. The bath tub soap and shampoo bottles were empty. The complimentary breakfast was actually worth staying for! We would stay again.

Staying at the Fairfield by Marriott was a great choice. It was my first time in Cabo, and I didn’t know what to expect during my visit. The hotel staff played a big part in making my stay a good experience because they were very nice and made a lot of suggestions on the best local restaurants and activities. Shout out to Demaris for going the extra mile to give a lot of recs! There were a few drawbacks to this hotel. There was no refrigerator or microwave, so taking leftovers from the restaurants back to eat for the next day wasn’t an option. It also isn’t all-inclusive, so if you’re looking for that, there are obviously a bunch of other hotels in Cabo to choose from. However, the convenience factor was the biggest benefit, as it is walking distance to a few breakfast and taco restaurants, as well as Walmart, which we definitely utilized. Overall, I would recommend staying at Fairfield by Marriott, and I would book this hotel again!

Upon check-in Mauricio was extremely professional and courteous. Juan night security is very attentive and helpful. Isaias in the front desk is very rude, disrespectful, and sarcastic, he shouldn't be working upfront, maybe kept behind the scenes. Overall installations need some upgrades and touchups.

The front desk staff was exceptional--helpful with restaurant recommendations, local transportation, etc. Rooms clean, quiet, safe.

Place is outstanding, 3rd time staying here. Only issue I found was that the bar across the street is quite loud at night. Staff was nice, and the staff for breakfast is super nice and helpful! Would stay again :)

The hotel is fine. It’s conveniently located and clean. The staff is cordial enough, except for Roberto who went above and beyond. He helped me to book a taxi and was so kind. He was friendly and clearly cared. The hotel does not have first aid, so don’t expect them to have bandaids or anything to assist if you have any cuts or bruises. Otherwise it was fine.

I read most of the reviews before making our reservation and I was concerned about the street noise from the Karaoke Bars. When I did book our stay, I messaged the Hotel and specifically asked for a room away from the street noise. They happily acknowledged my request and ensured me that they could do it. When we arrived, they kept their promise and gave us a nice room on the 4th floor facing the Sunrise. The Hotel itself is nice and clean and a very good value. The Hotel Staff are very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with newer furniture. We had a slight issue with the shower knob falling off. Maintenance quickly came and fixed it within minutes. The pool, gym and dining room are also nice and well kept. The Breakfast was good and they provided a variety of options that made it more like a Brunch. It’s a very short walk to City Club, Walmart, Chedraui, The Marina, Centro, etc. It’s the first Hotel as you come into town so that’s nice! The only negative issue we had was at check-in. I alway pay at time of booking but decided not to this time because the Peso was going down next to the Dollar. The Hotel’s Credit Card machine was having a communication issue and after an hour, and 5 attempts with 2 different cards and calls to both Credit Card companies and Orbitz it finally went through! My advice is to ALWAYS pay online ahead of time! Despite the negative check-in experience, I would definitely choose the Fairfield Marriott for my next stay.

Nice business-oriented hotel close to everything in Cabo San Lucas. Decent breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Es fácil llegar a la marina, a pie y muy seguro caminar sobre la avenida principal. Aunque se puede ver que es una instalación anticuada, han podido darle buen mantenimiento. El agua de la alberca es templada y no es profunda. Sobre el desayuno, fue buffet y estuvo rico. Durante mi estancia solo sirvieron 3 guisados aparte del café, jugo, leche, pan blanco, fruta y avena. En cuestión de habitación; para mi gusto de la regadera, la fuerza con la que sale el agua puede llegar a lastimar, más si te asoleaste y llegas con la piel sensible. El aire acondicionado de la habitación, no permanecía en los grados que yo le colocaba, se volvía actualizar. Si te molesta el ruido (por las noches) puedes solicitar habitación con vista hacia la alberca, ya que del otro lado puedes escuchar el sonido de los bares que se encuentran a un lado del hotel y cruzando. Yo tuve suerte y no tuve la necesidad de pedir un cambio

It’s your standard Marriott Fairfield and the property is exactly what you expect if you’re a Marriott member. The location is a 10 minute walk to the wharf, beaches, Walmart and the grocery store. The surrounding area is safe just a few deserted lots with graffiti and trash, but if you can look past those minor issues. You’ll enjoy your stay.

Really great experience at the Fairfield in Cabo. The rooms were on the smaller size, but we had a big, comfortable king bed. Everything was recently renovated and very clean. The included breakfast was fresh and tasty, front desk had excellent service, and was a 10-15 minute walk from the mall/marina. Would definitely recommend!

Rooms are clean and staff helpful. It is a bit of a walk to the marina. The free buffett breakfast was sub par and skimpy at best. Pancakes but no syrup the next day syrup but no pancakes. No decaff coffee, marmalade, yogurt one day, very watery oatmeal, Something that looked like tortilla soup, and only sliced bread. Marriot can do better.

Very clean, hot breakfast was very good, coffee specialty machine, small but nice pool y you go with kids. Price is very good and you don't risk confort.

Unbearably loud noise. Impossible to sleep in rooms from 9pm to 4am. Breakfast was not good.

El desayuno es terrible, malas opciones y mal sabor, holiday inn es básico también pero de buen gusto y calidad. No limpian bien las habitaciones y no reemplazan todas las amenidades, último día solo pusieron una toalla, no respetan preferencias de clientes de forma constante (secadora la movieron el último día cuando habían respetado el lugar de preferencia antes). Último día no había agua caliente, aire acondicionado no se puede manipular, se va a los extremos, apagado o congelador, el seguro de la puerta por dentro está a punto de caerse. Front desk siempre fueron muy amables, atentos y se anticipan a necesidades. En check in me ofrecieron cambio de habitación para que no me molestara el ruido de los bares frente al hotel, muy muy bien, felicidades. Personal de desayunos muy atentos y serviciales.
