The hotel room was brand new since they are in the middle of renovations. The front desk people were friendly. My only complaint is that no where did it say the pool was shut down. We had the option of using a neighboring hotel pool, but when it’s cold and late making my kids go outside with wet hair wasn’t something I was will to do. I knew the breakfast would be cold food boxes due to the website giving up the heads up. But NO WHERE did it say the pool was closed

We had a great stay here. Very close to the things we wanted to do. The only down side was the pool was very cold and cloudy so the kids didn’t want to go in. That was a disappointment for our stay. But, the rest of the hotel was very good!

Hotel was great! Very nice room. I did specifically book a place with EV charging and could not get any of the 3 chargers to work for me. I’ve never had issues with other chargers, but this one just wouldn’t start charging. Luckily there was a fast charger close by at mall, but I was hoping to get an overnight charge so be mindful!

The property was really nice but I think the pool area with the tile on it is a very dangerous. I understand that it's slippery when wet but it's a pool area and it's always going to be wet. In my opinion it should have been something a little rough so it wasn't so slippery. I saw two kids slip an fall lucky either one was hurt and one was my grand-daughter who was walking slow and still slipped and fell.

The hotel room itself was nice. The “heated” pool was very cold and there wasn’t enough parking since the hotel is under renovations. There was only “cold boxed” breakfast that wasn’t very appeasing. It had very bland items in it. Didn’t even know the hotel was under renovations until after room was booked and paid for. Probably wouldn’t have went with this place if I would have known.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and a great location. All the staff was very friendly. Our problem was we intentionally booked a hotel with a pool for the kids and the pool was closed for maintenance and we were not told in advance.

Very positive experience! The outside was clean, the lobby was clean and smelled very nice. Always fresh coffee. Breakfast had good choices and the quality was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was also very nice.

Hampton inn's hallmark point of distinction was their white cotton duvets. This property had a weird synthetic bedspread that obviously wasn't washed after the previous guests. And shampoo the carpeting once in a while. There were huge stains on the carpet - very dirty. It was disappointing to see a Hampton Inn so dirty. This chain used to be clean and welcoming for us in the past. Bring back the washed Duvet covers!

When we checked in, we were given the keys and then immediately went up to the room. Scanned the key card on the door and it turned green and you could hear it unlock. We tried to open the door and couldn't get it open. We tried several times and eventually had to go back down to the front desk to get some help. The gal came up with us and acted as is this happened all the time, no big deal. She showed and told us that you have to be patient and wait and jiggle the doorknob just right in order to get in. She got us in, but it was a pain every time we left and tried to get back in it took SEVERAL minutes to get it just right in order to re-enter the room. When we entered the room, it was SO hot an stuffy so we immediately kicked on the air to cool it off and it took a long time to cool down - it never did get super cool, but we made it work. The carpets in the room we so stained and dirty, you almost didn't want to walk with no shoes on. The breakfast was so, so. The juice machine was down, but overall, it was okay for a "free" breakfast.

I like the Hotel being right by the Great Lakes Crossing. The Hotel was recently renovated and it looks nice. The furniture in the suite we were in wasn’t very comfortable. Other than that the stay was nice.

I did like the bed and pillows, once I did get to sleep, it was great. I liked the built in hand towel racks in the bathroom. What I didn't appreciate was how loud the doors were on my hallway. They are so heavy and when people aren't careful, they make a lot of noise. It kept going until at least midnight. Other than that it was a decent stay.

We usually stay here when we come to Auburn Hills and have always enjoyed it. This time however it is even better because everything has been updated and so much more spacious in the rooms and clean. The showers are amazing with 2 shower heads and as always the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

We stay at the Hampton Inn whenever we are in the Auburn Hills area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The free breakfast is more than you would expect. The tv did not work, it kept freezing up when we were trying to watch it. That is one thing that has been a problem at each of our stays, the tv. My only other complaint is that there is no enforcing of the rules in the pool area. There were teenagers in there unsupervised banging volleyballs everywhere including on people. They splashed so much that the whole floor was a mess and when they left, they left towels everywhere. This isn’t the hotels fault, it’s the parents. However, the hotel should do something to control this otherwise they may lose customers that actually teach their children manners and respect.

We were in town for a sporting event. I called to double check on breakfast time, because website said 6am. It started at 7. We had to be out the door by 6:15 for the meet. I expressed this the night before and the guy at the front desk said the breakfast person doesn’t come in by then. But we could go to the front desk and they mt be able to give us things to go. I aslo called for a late checkout bc we had prelims in AM and finals in evening. They could only let us check out 30 min late which didn’t do us any good bc we didn’t get done until 11:30 am and w the drive it was 11:55 by the time we got back in the area. Then had to eat lunch. A little disappointing for both.

The girl checking us in was not overly friendly. We got locked out late at night and instead of telling us how to get in or letting us in she watched my husband force the door open to get in then came out and said she watched us and told us then where to swap our card then got really snotty with us about it. The Wi-Fi there is awful. She even got snotty because we asked how to get on it. We had a suite and it was extremely nice but the couch and chair was like sitting on a rock

Booked on June 10th with request for ajoining rooms and have rooms close to anothe family who were travelling with us. Advised they would do there best to accommodate. It didn't happen. Advised the ajoining room next to us had been there since July 14th. I booked on JUNE 10th! Room service is alternative days.

I and my colleague, We had a great stay at Hampton Inn Detroit/Auburn Hills-North. The breakfast was good — omelettes, sausage, potatoes, bagels , DIY waffles, with some healthy options available too. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The location is perfect — just next to the outlet, and it’s very convenient for dining and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel!

Had a nice stay at this hotel which is located right next to the parking lot for Great Lakes Crossing Mall. The staff were friendly and helpful. Other than the carpeting in the hallway, rooms and lobby were so clean and there were staff visible always working on keeping lobby presentable. Do miss the regular breakfast in the lobby area compared to a box breakfast.

The hotel itself was fine. I was very disappointed in the breakfast situation, though. As lame as it sounds, we always try to book our family stays somewhere with a good continental breakfast. My 4 year old gets so excited to go downstairs for breakfast. Nowhere on the website did it mention that the breakfast was closed for renovations and we’d be getting boxed breakfast. We didn’t find out until check in. Covid box style breakfast and not even a toaster for the bagels

Its probably not a great time to visit this hotel. They claim the breakfast area was closed due to construction. We didnt see evidence of this construction, just a closed breakfast area. Instead, they gave us a bottle of juice and a box with a packaged bagel, creamcheese, yogurt and apple. The coffee in the lobby was luke warm. I would have chose another hotel if I knew prior to booking we would not have a regular breakfast. Thankfully there is a McDonalds close. Also, there was a problem with the wifi and we could not get wifi at all. This was dissapointing because we had to add data plans to our phones. The room was strangely musty smelling and warm when we first walked in. We had the air conditioner going all night to keep the room air fresh, in the middle of winter. Wish I picked one of the other hotels in the area.
