Fint og nyere hotel tæt på centrum. Hotellet er delt i 2 bygninger - en hovedbygning, hvor restaurant og morgenmad er samt en bygning på den anden side afvejen. Vi kom desværre til at bo i sidebygningen, hvilket er lidt iriiterende, når man skal have morgenmad f.eks. eller i restauranten. Værelset var fint med rigtig gode senge, 2 stole og bord samt godt plads til kuffert. Badeværelset var passende størrelse dog med meget minimal plads til at stille toiletting på. Vi havde ønsket et værelse med udsigt og fik et helt nede ved jorden - det var vi ikke super imponerede over til prisen. Husk man skal tage skoene af, når man går ind på hotellet, hvilket også var noget bøvlet når man boede i sidebygningen.

Kom fra 2 netter på Raddison SAS til Polfareren. Det var en flott opplevelse. Veldig hjelpsomt og serviceinnstilt personale. Veldig hyggelig med sofaområdet i resepsjonen med varm drikke. Frokosten var enkel, men god. Kunne kanskje ønsket ost med mer smak, f.eks. blåmuggost, men enkel og god slik den var.

A basic hotel room with separate bathroom. No fridge which is typical in Scandinavia. I say it is a basic 3 star hotel with excellent staff. The restaurant Polfareren has some amazing dishes. Make sure you try the snow crab bisque it is truly amazing and delicious.

Soweit alles ok! Lobby bequem und schön. Frühstück gut. Zimmer im Haus gegenüber. Ständiges Schuhe an, Schuhe aus. Blick von der Straße ins Zimmer. Privatsphäre auch tagsüber nur bei geschlossenen Rollos möglich. Im Badezimmer kein Haken, keine Ablage überm Waschbecken. Steckdosen hinter Nachttisch versteckt. Auch für den Wasserkocher schwierig. Nur norwegisches TV. Klimaanlage bläst ab 7 Uhr morgens kalte Luft ins Bett. Nichts zum Einstellen der Klimaanlage gefunden. Man hat es im Haupthaus vielleicht besser. Insgesamt war es. für eine Nacht in Ordnung Lage sehr gut. Vielleicht bekommt man diese Zimmer, wenn man wie wir ein Angebot bucht.

Ein tolles und gemütliches Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Da alle die Schuhe am Eingang ausziehen (Geflogenheit in Longyearbean) ist es wie zu Hause und trägt zur ruhigen Stimmung bei. Unsere Zimmer waren gut ausgestattet und es hat an nicht gefehlt. Die Fußbodenheizung im Badezimmer fanden wir sehr angenehm. Schön ist die Lobby mit Kamin, die wir ein Wohnzimmer ist.

A well located comfortable property. Close to shops & bus transfer to airport. I just didn’t like being in the annexe building. They did help me with my luggage when asked.

Fabulous property. Very cosy rooms. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Great breakfast in the morning and free tea and coffee all day in the warm and cosy atrium. We’ll be back for sure!

+ Sentral beliggenhet + Svært hyggelig personale - Rommet kunne absolutt vært renere ved innsjekk - Svært lytt. Fikk rom rett med døren og våknet av at folk gikk inn og ut og pratet gjennom hele første natten. Hørte også veldig godt aktivitet i rommene over oss.

Veldig fint hotell. Vi har bodd der flere ganger, og det er veldig koselig der, med avslappet atmosfære. God mat, svært hyggelig betjening og sentral beliggenhet med lite støyende omgivelser. Renholdet er også veldig bra.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at Svalbard Hotell - Polfareren. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made it memorable. I especially loved the practice of taking shoes off inside—it really added to the comfort and cleanliness of the space. Highly recommend for a unique and relaxing stay!

We loved this hotel. The room was a great size and convenient to everything in town. The breakfast each morning was excellent. The only downside was we stayed during polar day and there were black out curtains on the big window only. The small window near the head of the bed let in quite a bit of light which made it harder to sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms are very nice. The floor heating in the bathroom is a great solution and it's so comfortable when you step out of the shower. It also helps efficiently dry wet clothes. The staff is super nice, we had everything we needed.

We booked a standard room which was in a separate building so we had to walk outside if we wanted to get drinking water or breakfast. Our friend also booked a standard room which was in the main building so it seems like you have to get lucky at check-in. Our room was worn down, the wifi was cutting out because of poor connection and the TV had only one channel. In the hotel none of the staff were friendly nor welcoming but the man with a mustache at the reception was straight on rude several times when I interacted with him. All in all probably there are better places to stay at on this Arctic town.

☺️ Room: spacious and clean. Large polar bear wallpaper was nice. 😐 have water jugs/bottle and water available in room or at least have a water dispenser in the building. We were advised not to drink from the tap. My room was across the main building and I had to keep going back to main building, in minus 23 degrees Celsius where the kitchen is, to get water. Thankfully, I had a 500 water bottle (supermarket closed). The staffs were accommodating but it’s inconvenient having to keep asking them to fill my bottle. Surprised to see this is a 4 star hotel. ☺️ the crew in dining room especially the chefs were very friendly, helpful and nice. 🫢 was there over NY Eve and NY 2026. There was fireworks at midnight and I wished the staffs had told us so I cold stay up. I woke up to the loud noise and only caught part of it. It takes time to wear 5 layers of clothes so I watched part of it from my window. Also wish there is a northern light sounding system. Would be nice if they had offered some food on NY day. Reception informed all restaurants were closed except a nearby hotel was open for dinner. Thankfully I brought cup noodles. Overall, other than the lovely dining and housekeeping staffs that made the accommodation alive and welcoming, there’s nothing wow here. Although majority of residents in Salvard are from other countries, I felt they are ambassadors to visitors. I will try other accommodation in future when I visit this beautiful country again.

Ruhig und zentral gelegen, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Bei Mitternachtssonne könnten die Vorhänge dichter sein da doch sehr viel Licht reinkommt ins Zimmer da die Sonne nachts auf das Fenster scheint. Außerdem wird der Vorhang durch die Sonne warm und das Zimmer auch. Ein Außenrollo wäre besser oder das Rollo mit reflektierendem, wärmeabweisenden Material versehen.

There isn't one thing about the property that I can complain about. It was amazing! Loved having tea and coffee available anytime. Staff even helped me return a ring I left behind. They are amazing! Stay here! It is worth the money!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms are very nice. In the hotel none of the staff were friendly nor welcoming but the man with a mustache at the reception was straight on rude several times when I interacted with him. All in all probably there are better places to stay at on this Arctic town.
We booked a standard room which was in a separate building so we had to walk outside if we wanted to get drinking water or breakfast. Our friend also booked a standard room which was in the main building so it seems like you have to get lucky at check-in. Our room was worn down, the wifi was cutting out because of poor connection and the TV had only one channel. Not the best hotel staff. Rude and not welcoming at reception . I would not recommend the hotel because of the staff and strifked check in policy and the fact you have to remove shoes to even check into the hotel, the rooms are nice and so is breakfast and it’s a good location but the reception staff are not good

Clean lines, modern, comfortable, quiet, well located in town at the end of the main pedestrian center, easy to reach by road but not on the road, airport public bus transfer. We loved our stay! Only down side was that, and this is with many hotels, you can not get it dark enough in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms are very nice. The floor heating in the bathroom is a great solution and it's so comfortable when you step out of the shower. It also helps efficiently dry wet clothes. The staff is super nice, we had everything we needed.

A basic hotel room with separate bathroom. No fridge which is typical in Scandinavia. I say it is a basic 3 star hotel with excellent staff. The restaurant Polfareren has some amazing dishes. Make sure you try the snow crab bisque it is truly amazing and delicious.
