Breakfast was decent. Liked that it is right off the highway. There is a nice little park behind the hotel. There is a Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot that was good. They also allow use of the gym that is across the parking lot

We stayed for a basketball tournament weekend. The breakfast options were AMAZING! It was perfect for everyone’s diet & preferences. Everything from fruit to hot eggs, biscuits & gravy to yogurt & hard boiled eggs. Bacon, cereal, hot coffee, waffles, so many options!! The pool was rather small & only 3’ deep but fun for the kids. The hot tub is REALLY SMALL…so unless u are very comfortable with who’s in there it may be just a foot & calf soak lol The amenities are nice, loved having the microwave in the rooms & the $1 popcorn in the vending machines! But some recommendations I would have for the hotel is to add contact solution & case to the small things to purchase at the desk. Also add complementary shower caps in the rooms. Honestly though I would definitely recommend & stay again! Great option for basketball season!

A few upgrades are needed. Back door lock needs replacing, carts are old and, elevator broke while I was there. It has been making odd noises for a couple years. All said it is a very good place to stay.

The night-time front desk person was awesome and had a great personality. Another staff member who helped with our TV was very nice. The morning / breakfast staff were gruff. Pool access was overly difficult (time restrictions + needing to find a staff member to access). Not able to turn on jets in tiny hot tub. Pool water slightly murky. Breakfast was sparse and uninspired.

Stay was good for the most part, the bed was hard as a rock though and woke up both days with back and shoulder/neck pain. The hot tub was abit disappointing the jets didnt work. Staff was friendly. Little odd for the comment made by one lady at the front desk at check in. I guess she didn't realize I was there with my husband. The breakfast was great, loved that they had a grill for guests to use. Might stay again if we are ever back in Oregon.

Very nice hotel w RV park on the river. Michelle at front desk was AWESOME! We had the suite. Huge room w very well equiped kitchen. Pull out queen & separate bedroom w beautiful sliding wood door. Nice salt water pool. Hot tub was undergoing repair. We were sorry we could only stay 1 night. Excellent pizza just across parking lot. Highly recommend

The staff was very friendly and hotel was clean. It just wasn’t that nice of hotel, kinda old and rundown. Bath tub facet fell off, rust stains next to toilet, and the sheets were very scratchy. It was the only option of hotel in Clatskanie. The breakfast was not that good very little options. The staff was kind tho and helped with whatever I asked.

This hotel was very nice and clean. We were on our way back to Portland from the ocean and stayed here for one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are a lot of restaurant options around and right on the highway. They offer a limited hot breakfast in the morning and coffee. We would stay here again.

I often find myself having to "look past" issues at hotels these days. But not at the Clatskanie River Inn. The whole experience was positive. The grounds are well-kept. The lobby is inviting. The receptionist was friendly. The decor and furniture in the lobby and hallways are substantial, not cheap. The room is clean and well-presented. Everything works as it should. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is generous and the breakfast eating room is comfortable. Seems simple, but not all hotels can pull it off. Clatskanie River Inn does.

Front desk staff was super enthusiastic and helpful. Location was a good stop, park nearby and not far from Beaver Falls. Mattresses need updated and walls are really thin. We could hear the neighbors tv and phone all night.

I arrived just before midnight to this property and yet they had an employee at the reception, something you can’t find in every motel. Shower was great, mattress and pillows were very comfortable, I highly recommend this place specially considering how affordable it is.

This was an affordable alternative to the high-priced accommodations on the coast, but close enough to be able to explire Astoria and other coastal areas. The rooms were clean and the staff really took care of the guests, but the hotel really needs an up-grade as flooing is worn and decor is dated. Could use more sound insulation but it wasn't enough to disturb sleep. Not many dining option although they offer a decent breakfast.

Landed the last available room on short notice for a summer weekend trip to the coast. 40 minutes away from Astoria, at a reasonable price. Exceptionally comfortable bed. Asked the desk clerk what kind of bed it was and she offered to find out and email me, but apparently forgot. Still looking forward to hearing back (8/19, #310). Will stay again.

The King Suite we stayed in had a FULL refrigerator, stove, oven and plenty of counter space and dishes. The place was immaculate when we came in! Kudos to your cleaning staff! The breakfast was a miss for me, but luckily we had a stove to cook our own. Staff was friendly and busy! Preparing breakfast, manning front desk, folding laundry. Great job. The only unfortunate thing was we ended up paying more for the room, more than likely because the Hood to Coast was over the weekend and we ended up paying more than any other weekend.

Michelle at the front desk was amazing! She was very helpful and had an amazing personality. She made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was so good! Not your typical hotel breakfast. They had a variety of food. Tator tot casserole, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon, cereal, toast, coffee and juice. Our family highly recommends this hotel.

It's a very nice hotel if you need an out of the way place to camp out while exploring Portland and the southeastern corner of Washington state. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It's almost equidistant to Portland and Astoria plus the highway the hotel is on directly connects to both cities.

Pretty decent inn as a stop on the way to the Oregon Coast. The age showed but it's generally well kept and the staff were great and friendly. Keep in mind that this is still 40 mins away from Astoria, and the road from this inn to Astoria is pretty challenging with lots of curves, down and uphills with limited sight of the opposite direction, it's also dark at night so it's best to travel during daytime.

My wife and I stay here a few times per year. The staff are friendly, the rooms are good sized and clean, it's quiet, there's a great park right next door, and all the restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. We will continue to come back here.

Breakfast was decent. Liked that it is right off the highway. There is a nice little park behind the hotel. There is a Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot that was good. They also allow use of the gym that is across the parking lot

There is a beautiful park and river with paved walking paths, which also take you into a quaint section of town, accessible from right outside the inn. The beds are very comfortable, the showers have wonderful water pressure and a continental breakfast, including hot dishes, is served each morning. But the best thing the Inn has to offer is the staff! They are so warm and friendly and will do everything to make the guests comfortable. They interact like friends and there is just a happy vibe throughout. They went over and above when I had an emergency and I cannot thank them enough!

Solid little Inn, it's right off the highway. The town of Clatskanie doesn't have much to do but Beaver Creek Falls is only a 15 minute drive away and is a great short hike

Even though this might be the only hotel in town, it is an EXCELLENT choice. I’ve stayed here for pleasure and then ended up staying here for work multiple times. From the front desk greeting to the breakfast to the wonderful clean rooms, this is a great hotel! The ONLY complaint (not worthy of even deducting a star) I have is a lack of bacon every morning at breakfast. Some days have bacon but as we all know, bacon is needed every day :-).

It was an incredible value! Breakfast was a variety of hot and cold food, beverages, tasty, all very clean. Room was spacious, beds comfortable, stocked with refrigerator microwave, coffee maker, little stove and sink and dishes. Good water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water. Staffed was so helpful and nice. The hotel was situated next to a huge park that had a skatepark and a pool and lots of walking trails. Everything was great!

Michelle at the front desk was amazing! She was very helpful and had an amazing personality. She made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was so good! Not your typical hotel breakfast. They had a variety of food. Tator tot casserole, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon, cereal, toast, coffee and juice. Our family highly recommends this hotel.

The night-time front desk person was awesome and had a great personality. Another staff member who helped with our TV was very nice. The morning / breakfast staff were gruff. Pool access was overly difficult (time restrictions + needing to find a staff member to access). Not able to turn on jets in tiny hot tub. Pool water slightly murky. Breakfast was sparse and uninspired.
