The Putney Inn served its purpose. The place is quiet, very close to I-91, and well maintained. Putney is a cute little New England town, but restaurants are very limited. The rooms were fine, breakfast was basic but adequate, and overall, we had a good stay.

Very friendly staff. Our room appears to have been updated. Very roomy; comfortable beds; great shower; good breakfast although i left protein - eggs, sausage... office was very acccomodating when we requested an extra night. Fair price.

Bathroom door did not close, light from the porch lighting outside shined in the small front windows all night making it impossible to get restful sleep, as there were no blinds to close. Towels were stained, beds werent the most comfortable. Its about what I expected at the price point, and isn't an awful stay. But room for improvement would be easy

The rooms are clean and the staff was helpful. The building and rooms were outdated but for the price it was a good stay. Not much at exit but available 20-30 minutes away.

The Putney Inn is old and shows its age. The room was very musty smelling as the rug and bedding are old and moist air. The tiles on the floor and bath wall were updated but the tub is old and dingy. Way overpriced for the condition in comparison to the new Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn that are much nicer at a similar price. I would not recommend.
