This Guesthouse was in a part of town easy to access sights. While on a main road, soundproofing made raid noise minimal. Our host Keith was very affable and helpful with information, free on site parking, and with suitcases up the stairs. Our room was compact and comfortable, and well appointed with necessary items. The breakfast was really good and cooked to order, with fresh herbs from their garden.

Originally booked for one night as we hadn’t used this Guest House before but happily booked an additional night after our warm welcome on arrival and seeing the interior. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional better than most 5* properties we’ve visited. Keith is the perfect host he goes above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay and our room was perfect it had all the facilities required and some. The little added extras were a lovely touch and totally unexpected for the low rates charged. Breakfast was plentiful lots of fresh fruit bowls, yogurt, cereals and hot croissants on offer before the cooked breakfasts arrived. The quality of produce made for a delicious hot breakfast and a stop off at Keith’s butcher on the way home! The small outside space has been made the most of.. again everything you need. I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon reading in the sunshine listening to the bees buzzing around blissful… thanks Lia 🌺 We look forward to returning and highly recommend.

The Guesthouse is walkable to shopping areas in Largs, and the pier if catching ferries or the paddle steamer Waverley. Hosts are amazing and even parked my car for me.

We booked St Leonard’s for an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding locally. Our initial communication was great with the host allowing us an early admission in order to get to the wedding on time and offered to run us down to the venue. As it turned out when we arrived there was no parking available so we arranged we would take the car to the venue and our gracious host would run us down in the morning to pick it up. We were shown around the room and the facilities within which included a small fridge with milk and chilled water plus tea and coffee facilities. The room was cosy with a comfortable bed which we both later had a great sleep in and also noted ear plugs available if the traffic noise was going to be a concern( not for us). The en suite is also compact but plenty of room again for us with toiletries ( shampoo and shower gel) supplied with plush large towels. The bedroom was also very nicely decorated. At breakfast there was a selection of cereal, fresh fruit yogurt and home made bread and a cooked breakfast available which was all well made. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and we would definitely come here again.

St Leonard's is a gem of a place in Largs. Keith and his family's guest house offer the best experience one can dream of, especially when first visiting Largs or North Ayrshire. The whole guest house is the cleanest you can dream of, all recently renovated, with a feel-like-home vib about it. You literally get a 4-star service from your host and the place. I can only recommend the breakfast experience too, with the most delicious fresh fruits and mint from the garden. Absolutely superb. Thank you Keith - I wish I could have stayed over for a full week. The area is superb! Congratulations.

When I saw the reviews I was sceptical nowhere could be that good. It was. St Leonard's is probably the best Guest House I have stayed in. It is super super clean, your host is friendly, the breakfast is terrific, and the room was lovely. It really is that good

This was a very comfortable and friendly place with excellent breakfast. It was spotlessly clean but did not smell of heavy duty cleaners..... Which I am slightly allergic to. So all good.....and handy for the train station, town and the seafront.

I really enjoyed my stay at St Leonards Guesthouse. Keith is so friendly and helpful, and the single room was just right for a solo traveler. Breakfast was also delicious. I wish I could have stayed more than one night!

Gave the impression that the people running it were really interested in what they did. Lots of nice touches -- bathrobe provided, for instance, and a bottle (glass) of water in the room. Rain shower was very good, and spacious, even included a cleaning too. Breakfast set you up for the rest of the day.

Keith , the host , gave a very warm welcome on my arrival. My room was clean and comfortable good size bed 2 arm chairs. There was the usual coffee , tea and biscuits also a fridge containing fresh milk and bottled water. Despite the property being on a main road it was fairly quiet thanks to good sound proof glazing. Breakfast was plentiful with cereals , croisants along with a hearty fresh cooked full breakfast, fresh coffee too.

This is a beautiful guest house that is very close to the railway station and the waterfront. Ferries go to Great Cumbrae regularly where there are lovely walks and scenery. The room although small had everything you need. The shower was shared with another room but that was no problem. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, homemade bread, cooked breakfast. Keith was very welcoming and made you feel at home. Definitely would recommend.

Keith was the most thoughtful host we have experienced in many years of travel. He went over and above what we would expect from a host, always checking we had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable room, and an amazing breakfast. Can’t recommend this place and Largs enough. Simply lovely!

This Guesthouse was in a part of town easy to access sights. While on a main road, soundproofing made raid noise minimal. Our host Keith was very affable and helpful with information, free on site parking, and with suitcases up the stairs. Our room was compact and comfortable, and well appointed with necessary items. The breakfast was really good and cooked to order, with fresh herbs from their garden.

This was a very comfortable and friendly place with excellent breakfast. It was spotlessly clean but did not smell of heavy duty cleaners..... Which I am slightly allergic to. So all good.....and handy for the train station, town and the seafront.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Keith, the owner, is incredibly friendly and offers a great breakfast. Would happily stay here again. Great location near train station, bus stops and supermarket. Also very quiet inside room.

The Guesthouse is walkable to shopping areas in Largs, and the pier if catching ferries or the paddle steamer Waverley. Hosts are amazing and even parked my car for me.

This is a beautiful guest house that is very close to the railway station and the waterfront. Ferries go to Great Cumbrae regularly where there are lovely walks and scenery. The room although small had everything you need. The shower was shared with another room but that was no problem. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, homemade bread, cooked breakfast. Keith was very welcoming and made you feel at home. Definitely would recommend.

Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights as our first stop on a Scotland roadtrip, and we couldn't recommend it enough. The location is fantastic and Keith's recommendations did not steer us wrong once. The room was really clean and the breakfast was amazing!

We booked St Leonard’s for an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding locally. Our initial communication was great with the host allowing us an early admission in order to get to the wedding on time and offered to run us down to the venue. As it turned out when we arrived there was no parking available so we arranged we would take the car to the venue and our gracious host would run us down in the morning to pick it up. We were shown around the room and the facilities within which included a small fridge with milk and chilled water plus tea and coffee facilities. The room was cosy with a comfortable bed which we both later had a great sleep in and also noted ear plugs available if the traffic noise was going to be a concern( not for us). The en suite is also compact but plenty of room again for us with toiletries ( shampoo and shower gel) supplied with plush large towels. The bedroom was also very nicely decorated. At breakfast there was a selection of cereal, fresh fruit yogurt and home made bread and a cooked breakfast available which was all well made. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and we would definitely come here again.

The host was amazing and nothing was to trouble. The flower beds were excellent no doubt down to an excellent gardener. Breakfast was excellent and his experience in the local amenities came in very handy.

Amazing experience all around. Keith was kind, generous, and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here. Clean rooms that look out onto a beautiful garden. Delicious warm breakfast served with fresh orange juice and fruit. I’ll be back next time I’m in Largs.
