Great location; ample parking, including two EV chargers; wonderful staff; fantastic restaurant, and lounge attached; the rooms are spacious and well maintained… The only small, constructive criticism I could give is possibly putting mattress toppers on the beds, as I found them to be a bit hard. Otherwise a fantastic stay! I would definitely recommend!

We visit Dumbarton at least twice a year and always stay at the Abbotsford Hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have evening meals and breakfast at the hotel and the food is excellent. The rooms are always cleaned to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable. We will return as it is in a great position to visit the town and easy access to other areas.

Very very dated venue and rooms absolutely dates, dark doors, dark carpeted , very dusty poor furniture .whole places needs complete update as rooms do f appear ( apart from bathroom) to have been touched for many many years . Shame as could be lovely hotel if owners didn’t real money on it and updated it. Even the room doors are very horrible shade of brown .

Nice hotel for an evening before heading out early for the airport. Room was a good size and clean. It’s a little noisy as you’re next to the road. Other than that, it’s a good place to stay. Friendly staff.

We stayed for access to Glasgow airport, the family room was ideal for us as it fit all 5 of us in comfortably where other hotels were requiring us to book 2 rooms. Easy access to the airport in the morning of around 15/20 minutes. We ate in the restaurant and found the food very nice also

We decided to stay at the Abbotsford as we were attending a birthday party at the golf club. We have eaten in the Abbotsford before and decided to just stay there as we were unable to stay at our friends as I am unable to get up the stairs without pain. The staff at the Abbotsford were brilliant very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us.

We were met by the manager of the Abbotsford hotel almost immediately and he generously welcomed us and made us feel welcome. Although the building may appear older on the outside, the inside is up to date and comfortable. We had drinks in the bar(relaxing as we listened to locals chew the fat) and then dinner which was very good. The menu is diverse and reasonable. If ever in the area again, I’d stay here.

As soon as we walked in the door we felt very welcome. The front desk staff were both extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was clean and comfortable. Had very delicious meals in the restaurant. Breakfast is a great deal for guests and I would advise you make a reservation for dinner as it is a very popular spot for the locals - with good reason, food was excellent! The wait staff are very attentive and friendly, Highly recommend this hotel, away from the congestion of Glasgow but close enough to commute.
