I have visited this same hotel twice in less than a month, and the parking lot is still closed. Honestly, this is terrible, and now that it’s open, all the spots are reserved for a supposed Vietnamese café (which, by the way, is awful). It’s very inconvenient to have to park across the street. The hotel should do something about this.

The property was clean and comfortable. We had a very late check in. We had no idea they were resurfacing the parking lot. I had called earlier in the day to verify our stay. The staff person didn't mention it. So at 12:30 we had to figure out where to park. The front desk person wasn't much help in that regard. Other than that, our stay was really good. I would recommend the hotel.

The hotel begins on the second floor and rooms are on the 3rd and 4th, requiring key card access in the elevator. While convenient to the hospital and some easy accessibility to food, it is not a convenient hotel for someone who will need a lot of in and out, trips to the car etc.. Both of our key cards stopped working over the four days and had to be reprogrammed.

The construction in the parking lot was really a hassle to find a parking place. Very inconvenient and as guests I believe we should have been notified ahead of time of this issue.

Good location. Decent accommodations. Very NOISY. You can hear every conversation in the hallways and other guests rooms. The doors closing and opening all night long was very disturbing. There was fecal matter and clipped toe/finger nails on the floor of the room I stayed in.

The stay was good but it was very noisy. You can hear everything in the hallways, including your obnoxiously drunk neighbors coming back at 4am. The breakfast bar had a good selection and was convenient.

Property is undergoing renovations with only 1 elevator functioning which made wait times long. Hotel lobby is on 2nd floor. Found a long screw next to bed upon arrival to room assuming from construction. Shower entrance is concrete wall with 2’ opening. Could be an issue for larger people to get through. Very unique design. Room is clean, updated, lots of outlets and USB ports, fridge, microwave, ironing board, comfy bed, lots of tv choices. Doors close loudly and you can hear toilets flush from neighboring room. Slept well though. Outside noise minimal and lots of food choices very near by. Staff was exceptionally nice and breakfast was excellent. Would stay again for convenience of KU Med being directly next door. Other than loud doors, most concerns should be resolved when construction is complete.

It was very noisy & hard to sleep because of the traffic & you could hear all of the people in the other rooms really late until after midnight. We only stay here because the location is perfect when we have to be at KU med early in the morning for appointments & procedures. The breakfast also is nice.

No hairdryer in the room. When I called guest services I was told the hotel was booked and he couldn’t just go into a room and get one. Hmmmm okay but shouldn’t all rooms have a hair dryer or at least make sure one is there when you clean it for the next guest??? 🤔

Large gap around the entry door to the room. Brightly lit hall lights shining through the gap. Could hear staff and guests as if they were in the room with us at any hour. Everything else was fine, good, or as expected for this type of room

This hotel is fine. It was generally clean, the rooms are good sized, and the amenities are acceptable. But the price for this hotel is outrageous. I travel quite a bit for work and I’ve stayed in plenty of places that are just as nice as this place for half the price. Feels very much like they are taking advantage of folks who need to be close to the hospital in difficult times. (Which is why I was there). In addition, I mentioned the construction in the parking lot when I went to check in and was wondering why I didn’t get a notice ahead as I have experienced elsewhere. I had 2 people with me who have difficulty walking distances. The clerk got very defensive and rather than just empathizing and moving on, which I would’ve accepted happily, he just became crabby. Overall was not impressed.

Only one staff in entire facility, long waits to check in and get any help. Only one luggage cart. Hope you like your neighbor, can hear thru the walls, and they were not talking loud. Very noisy, constant door slams all hours of the night. Need SOFT CLOSE DOORS!

The hotel itself is fantastic—extremely clean, modern, and everything feels nearly brand new. However, our experience during check-in on Friday night was disappointing. The receptionist, Edy, was rude, impatient, and lacked empathy. He was constantly on the phone chatting and refused to help when I asked for assistance, simply saying, "No, no, no, it's almost midnight, and the hotel is booked." All I needed was an extra towel, but he was completely uncooperative. Additionally, the parking lot was under repair, so we had to park across the street. It's unfortunate that the poor attitude of one employee negatively impacted our otherwise pleasant stay at the hotel.

I have stayed here for the last 3 years for when I come for work and EVERY TIME has been perfect. And the few times something was wrong, it was immediately fixed and staff always goes above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Breakfast is always delicious, rooms are always clean, and staff is the best!

Property was easy to get to and the parking was plenty!! Though the trauma center is across the street we did not hear any helicopters in our room as reported by others. For travelers towing a small trailer - the facility will accommodate you in the overflow lot which is lighted and monitored by camera. There are numerous restaurants and pubs within walking distance 🙂

Great experience! Our room was spacious and pristine as was the building. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Parking lot is small, but free! Location is convenient and close to a lot of local shopping and dining and nightlife. Winner!
