This property is fantastic . My wife and I stayed two days and loved it . The view is amazing . The staff were great . Everyone was so friendly and great service . You need a car to go see the attractions that are about 30 minutes away. The bar and restaurant are great . They even have a pool table and other games . Also just next door there is another great restaurant . Our villa was great with a porch overlooking the lake . Pool and hot tub was very nice . We will defiantly come back ! Check in and check out were easy .

Location: gorgeous views; quiet area; zero traffic; accessible distance to other attractions (La Fortuna; hanging bridges; Arenal 1968; etc.) Property: villas were spacious, comfortable, private. Restaurant on site was easy to access, serving delicious foods. Two pools (one warm, one cool) allowed for great options; property was maintained very well, clean and pleasing. We would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area of Nuevo Arenal…!

La Mansion is a beautiful property. Very unique with individual villas. We stayed in #10, which has three bedrooms, a kitchen, and it's own heated pool. The views of Lake Arenal are truly amazing. The staff was the best! Very nice, polite, fun and helpful. The restaurant is great too. We stayed here due to its proximity to La Fortuna. It's close enough to drive back and forth but far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle of the town. I highly recommend you consider La Mansion.

Wonderful property with the most serene and breathtaking views of Arenal lake. Be prepared to drive the winding road to get here from San Jose, but trust me the drive is well worth it for this out-of-the-way gem. The Inn itself offers onsite kayaking and horseback riding, which is so more convenient and often a better deal than using the sometimes overpriced guides in La Fortuna.

It is a beautiful property with a great staff. The food is good and for breakfast more than enough. The pool was beautiful and linked to the view. It was high season so Jacuzzi a bit murky but understandable. Our only issue was air conditioning which went out on second night. They offered another room but would not accommodate our party. I would have hoped for more than 15$ at checkout for our inconvenience but we would return and we do recommend.

Très bel endroit avec une vue magnifique. La piscine l’est tout autant malgré une eau très (trop) fraîche . Le personnel agréable et efficace . Deux petits points négatifs cependant . L’accueil pourrait être un peu plus agréable avec un verre d’eau ou un jus de fruit offert à l’arrivée et du temps pour se poser un peu . D’autre part , le jacuzzi était hors d’usage .

It was truly an amazing experience. View alone worth million dollar. Staff was extremely considerate and courteous. Swimming pool and Hot tub experience was great. Not to mention, food was very delicious and tasteful. I will recommend very highly and will say just have breakfast and dinner at this place only. There was some minor issue with the internet but the staff actioned it right away. You may feel place is slightly away from LA Fortuna but the price and experience, no one can beat it.

The location of the property is its biggest feature. It is located scenically right above the lake. The gardens are gorgeous and well maintained and the infinity pool and jacuzzi are perfect for relaxing. The rooms themselves are nicer than camping cabins but they do still have cracks in the seams that allow nature to come inside. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning was a welcomed must. The staff were friendly and attentive. With the slight inconvenience of being a 40 min drive away from La Fortune, the solitude and views accommodated for that.

Amazing location with a view of the lake from the oversized hottub and the infinity pool. The pics on the site don’t make this property justice. Each room is a small independent villa.

this property has gorgeous valley view. it is located 45 mins. from downtown la fortuna. a taxi ride of that distance is $55 USD one way. so if you're planning to do activities in the town of fortuna, you'll need to factor transportation cost in. during the 3 days/ 2 nights i was there, their hot tub was not working; and on some days the swimming pool is a bit too cold. so i ended up spending $110 taxi fare going into a hot spring in town. there are many positives though. the staff is very helpful and nice. food is decent. the room i stayed in has a king-size bed, and another bedroom with 2 single beds. so if you're a young family of 4, the value is great. enjoy your stay at la mansion!

It if a very unique property with great views. However, there was little to no hot water for showers. We told staff about this, and they came to look at it. After that, we would get hot water for a minute and then back to cold water.

Hotel and view was very nice. It’s in a quiet area, no nightlife. Main area is about 45min away. Our only issue was too many bugs in the room. The broken screens on the windows allowed too many bugs to get in. There were also lizards and a frog in our room which made it hard to sleep. Felt like we were camping a little bit. All In all was a nice hotel but the camping aspect was a bit uncomfortable for me.

Great place with great customer service, place cleanness was spot on. Has a beautiful view and the rooms were awsome.

This property is magical. The view feels like a private oasis in the mountains. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodations are exactly as pictured but the views are impossible to capture. The pool is a great with cool water and in room coffee and a fridge were unexpected treats! Housekeeping came each day to refresh and restock supplies to keep us tidy. Horseback riding with Mingo booked through La Mansion was the best experience of our entire trip! It was just our family of 4 through the farmlands, mountains and rain forest. He took as at our speed and let us jog the horses a little. The animals were beautiful, well-behaved and well cared for! We got even more out of this experience because we speak some Spanish but you will love it either way. We spotted lots of toucans in the trees and the views with picture spots were great! We enjoyed a light dinner and a full meal on two separate occasions and they were both good! Daily breakfast included in the rate made it easy to start the drives to activities easier. The staff in the restaurant are all super accommodating and friendly! There is a Spanish restaurant w/in walking distance along with shops for snacks and coffee. We didn’t try them but were happy to see after reading earlier reviews. Our favorite spot was a pizza and burger place just a few minutes away. Eclectic and great vibe! Driving at night without street lights is tough on the curves so eating nearby felt important to us.

I loved it! The views are unbeatable and the value of that panorama at that price is incredible. The staff are really nice and accommodating. I enjoyed both the free breakfast and the outstanding dinner I had there. The rooms have a lot of fun and cool decorations and furnishings. I'd say the only 2 criticisms are that the wi-fi could be stronger inside the bungalows and that it's a bit far from Arenal.

The views look in person just as they do on the website. The pool and hot tub were clean. The villas are individual cabins, which are roomy but not too much. Breakfast included for free & there is a restaurant/bar open the entire day. It’s a 40 minute drive from La Fortuna but we did not mind the commute. In exchange you get really nice and quiet surroundings. Would recommend for family getaways!

We loved our stay at this property. Buildings are not new or high end, more on the local rustic end. Rooms are bungalo style, very well designed with spectacular views and plenty of room to make your stay comfortable. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff were the best! And we were very pleased by the food at the restaurant. Thanks La Mansión Inn!!

A stunning location overlooking the lake and wonderful staff to match! Cris was a genial host and obviously enjoys his job! The little casitas are well equipped and extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.

We just stayed at La Mansion Inn for the beginning of our trip in Costa Rica and it set a high bar for the rest of the trip! The rooms were cozy and comfortable, good AC, comfortable beds and private porches that overlooked magical views. The restaurant offered a great breakfast that is included but other items available to a low cost and the food was phenomenal. The staff there were the kindest, most attentive, and friendly people that were not only patient with our lack of Spanish but helped us with the language when we showed interest. It is a little bit of a drive to La Fortuna (~20 min.) but is very close to the Mistico Hanging bridges and having to drive a little was 100% worth every trying this facility offers. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and definitely return!

Property and the staff were welcoming and showed great hospitality. Cesar and Christopher at the front desk, Luis (Bar), Marice (Restaurant) were really amazing and provided great service. The property provides a great view of the Arenal lake and has perfectly located swimming pool and heated pool. Breakfast included with the reservation was good. Cesar provided some good recommendations for the activities and we did ziplining at Fortuna. Overall, great !!

Amazing property, staff, and location. We did not mind driving daily into La Fortuna when we had the amazing view at La Mansion Inn Arenal. Cesar treated us like royalty. The staff were extremely helpful with knowing where to go, what to do, how to get there or even setting extras up. All the staff were amazing. We had Kiko (spelling incorrect) every day for our meals, he was so professional, kind, and very intuitive. He gave us phenomenal service and attention. We were here for our anniversary and have no negative to speak. The staff is helpful, prompt, and very professional. Using What's App was perfect, staff exceeded our expectations, the room was amazing, and we truly just enjoyed the ambiance beyond words. Highy, highly recommend!!!

Grounds were well maintained and very beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful booking a tour. The views from our room were awesome! All around a great choice.

We had the most wonderful experience at La Mansion! Our room/casita was perfect for our family of 5, and the views from anywhere on the property were spectacular, especially at sunset. The service was outstanding - from the restaurant staff to the reception hosts - making us feel welcome the minute we arrived. Our reception host walked us to our room, explaining the area and even getting us a couple of Imperials when we mentioned a beer sounding good after a long day of driving and hiking. We highly recommend La Mansion and would definitely stay here again and again!

You hear birds singing and lots of trucks roving engine when trying to climb uphill. I paid for most expansive family room which was right next to the street. I requested change that was declined with simple line “Rooms are already assigned and booked. There were only 2 people who running bar, kitchen, serving food, who also checked us in. Breakfast is as per menu. Strictly 1 item/person. I had light breakfast for myself, as I’m early riser. I came back with my family for their breakfast and asked for another cup of coffee when host replied that it’s not possible, as I have already had my breakfast. Same answer for my son who asked if he can have a cup of yogurt with his omelette. No internet. I asked for internet when host replied that my boss is coming to fix it, which never happened. TV was apparently connected to the internet as well. Not sure why they had metal lockable jail doors out side of the siding door of our room and even windows. It could be just design, But room key was to metal door.

The staff was fantastic at making our trip memorable! Also don’t forget to book your in room massages with Cindy and Dana…they are amazing!!! Thank you all very much for a wonderful trip! We will be back!!

The setting is absolutely beautiful, with views of the lake and mountainside in every direction. The hotel itself is full of cozy, comfy charm and authentic Costa Rica pure vida. Truly heaven on earth! All staff from Ceasar the front desk manager to the entire waitstaff were kind, friendly and completely helpful with all our requests. I highly recommend this for any and all tourists who want to experience true Costa Rican hospitality at its finest.

The staff here is exceptional. Cesar is a great host and will do whatever it takes to make your stay memorable. He booked our white-water rafting trip for us. Chris, in the restaurant, was very attentive and even passed along some messages from the rafting company to us. It is about 20 minutes out of La Fortuna with a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. Lots of birds to see, too. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and when we get back to CR, we will stay there again.

The hotel grounds are BEAUTIFUL!!! I woke up to a gorgeous view that I could see RIGHT FROM MY BED! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Chris was the absolute best!!!! He helped with everything from checking in to reservations to recommendations! The hotel itself is not in a “hot spot” but it is conveniently located on the route that leads to La Fortuna and popular hot springs. So, it was an easy drive to get to different activities and restaurants. I will definitely return!

This property is about 45mins away from the busy resort area. The individual guest houses, provide views of the lake. The meals at La Mansion Inn are good and the variety is sufficient enough render driving to another place excessive. Pair all of that with friendly staff and you’ll have the option of adventure or simply relaxing.

A lovely hotel with an astounding view of Lake Arenal and friendly, helpful staff. Just be aware that unless you have your own car, you will pay extra for transportation to and from La Fortuna. We were told that cab fare from La Fortuna is $60 each way.

This is a hidden gem, it takes a little while to drive after la fortuna, but the views and and the food are worth it!

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were well maintained and had an authentic feel, although the shower was a bit difficult to keep at a consistent temperature. Beds were comfy. Pool was a bit chilly. The location was a bit of a drive from Arenal and La Fortuna, so I was glad that we had rented a vehicle to get around. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

This hotel is badly let down by the restaurant- greasy and expensive food. Pity because with decent food it could be well recommended

We loved our stay here. The views over the lake from the suites, restaurant and pool are stunning. The suites have so much character. It is close to tourist attractions. 40 min to most things but the drive is easy and we found the view, privacy and country stay preferable to busier options. The included breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

La Mansion Arenal was a comfortable, quiet, and accomodating property for our family trip to Arenal. It is quieter than La Fortuna and afforded beautiful views of Lake Arenal. Everything we ordered from the restaurant was delicious and enjoyed in a beautiful open air setting. The staff was kind and accomodating in all aspects. Allan at the front desk offered great tips on tours and the best places to enjoy activities with the family. I would easily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in Costa Rica.

Beautiful place with an outstanding view across the lake and a very nice pool area. We enjoyed the birds attracted to the flowers planted everywhere. The unit was spacious and very pleasant with a sitting area outside. The only downside was that we did not enjoy the hotel's lunch and dinner service but the cook may change and there are close-by alternatives.

Great view, nice staff food selection for dinner was nice and inexpensive. Have stayed in Arenal 20x all different locations. Will definitely make this our spot every year.

We enjoyed the warm water pool. It had a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was beautiful with a private patio and lake view. There were horses that walked by each morning and were charming. Very peaceful place. A 15 min walk/trail down to the lake was nice. The breakfast was a buffet and included many good options including scrambled eggs, gallo pinto, fruit (watermelon, papaya and pineapple), plantains, pancakes, cereal. Great alcoholic drinks at night. Dinner options were okay. Would return.

This property was great. We got there and the staff was very attentive and the place was clean. My husband's and I only concern....they need to expand their menu a bit. But overrall, stay was great. FYI, I would recommend if you want to do excursions by La fortuna, check elsewhere. This is a bit far out. I would stay here for a relaxing, calm getaway.
