Travelers Rest Motel

Amazing place right in the heart of amish country. Great gazebo, fire pit area and all one floor so no steps. Met a lot of great people that you wouldnt probably do in a hotel. Clean and comfortable!! Good breakfast and nice people. Highly recommend!!

Although this property is the old Motel style, it is cleaner than most multi story facilities.the furniture and rooms are in new condition. The grounds are spotless and delightful. There are no stairs or elevators and it’s actually convenient to be able to park in front of your door

The property was very well kept. The only bad thing about this is it said they had a pool. The pool is not on their property you have to drive 8 min up to The Bird in Hand hotel. To us this was not worth getting a child dressed running up the road to swim then drive back and change. So there for we didn’t use that facility. Other than that the stay was nice

Easy to find, great parking and good breakfast.

Staff was SO welcoming. The rooms are small but cozy. The property is clean and the breakfast is GREAT. Better than any hotel breakfast I've had. The staff is very helpful and kind and all smiles. The motel has a small gift shop with awesome prices. We loved watching the horse and buggies go by. The pool you can use is close by and it isnt a hassle to get to or go in. They have 3 pools on the sister property and theyre all so big and we had no issues with crowding or anything. We loved this place and will definitely be staying here again when in the area. The shop had darling little amish dresses and their waffle maker has their horse and buggie logo on it. This made my kids' and our day. 10/10!

The property was in a great location and was quiet at night. The staff was very friendly. Parking was very convenient and the room was very clean and nice.

Has some walkable shops! Can ask for a printed room receipt which will give you access to the pool at bird in hand family inn, a 11 min drive down the road! Which there is 3 pool options and a hot tub! The rooms are very clean and you can tell it wasn’t just wiped down but actually cleaned! The staff is absolutely amazing! The free breakfast in the morning has great options as well and is definitely delicious

Beautifully landscaped grounds, nice outdoor sitting area. Rooms were very clean, with plenty of space. Park in front of your door. Excellent breakfast included. Very close to all Amish attractions, restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff. We will return for sure.

Great experience at Travellers Rest! It was quiet and parking was close to room. No lugging bags across the parking lot!

Very good for the money. Plus, you can use the facilities of the other hand-in-bird hotels.

Spotlessly clean room, comfy beds, pleasant staff, lovely continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it.

My wife and I stayed for four nights. We had a King room. There is also a sofa bed that sleeps two and a table with two chairs. There is plenty of room. The room uses cards to enter and not a key. Each room is assigned its own parking space. The staff was nice and accommodating. The motel is east of the Kitchen Kettle. We would stay again.

Property is nice. Rooms are nice. The biggest problem is the same here as most hotels. When the person in the room next door sneezes you can tell him Bless you and he hears you. The walls need to be soundproofed.

This is a very lovely hotel with great amenities. Very clean and nice large rooms!

The breakfast didnt have any hot eggs. They cut donuts in half. The rooms are clean but very dated. Only shampoo in the shower. No conditioner or body shampoo. The hair dryer didnt work and the last morning the coffee pot died.

We were visiting nearby relatives and only needed a place to sleep. I can say beds, linens and pillows were all comfortable. We do wish we could have stayed a little longer, and had time to be tourists. Cleaning ladies were all very friendly. We would stay there again.

The rooms are so clean! Jonathan that checked me in is so helpful and polite. One thing I was not happy about is how loud the AC is. Otherwise, everything was amazing. The complimentary breakfast was great.

Our room #107 was small and the bathroom was tiny also the AC unit was so loud. I’m not the first to complain about this room.

I just love that it is a cute small property. You can tell that the owners care about it and that there were many repeat visitors that had relationships built. I would absolutely stay again. The only small problem that I had was that once it was 9pm, the property uses its sister hotel’s office to help answer calls and they weren’t able to answer my question until the morning. Not a huge deal, but something to consider.

We loved this stay which was only made better by the community around it. The breakfast was really tasty. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they were made by a groups of Nana's. Although this wasn't our experience, during breakfast, someone came in needing to check out a day early due to hurricane Helene. They worked with her to make sure she received a full refund and were so lovely doing so. Would stay here again.

Check in was easy and very friendly. Rooms are very clean. Nice having chair in yard to sit out.

When we first arrived to the property there was a sign that the front desk, staff would be back a half hour later as they were working around the property. Leigh Anne, saw us pull up and came over, greated us, and checked us in. Rooms clean, AC window unit was a little loud but great. All was going well until I went to take a shower in the morning and the water would not drain. Since the office did not open until 7 and it was a little before, I went to a common area with an ice maker, and a closet with hotel essentials. I got a pipe plunger, but it did not work. By this time it was 6:57, I had to leave for a couple of hours for an event at 7, so I figured I would let them know the problem. It appears that the woman setting up for breakfast thought I was coming to get breakfast and started yelling at me that they were not ready. She locked the office door and moved away. Instead of thinking the customer experience would change in the three minutes, my daugther and I went her event. I returned around 9:45 to talk to them and get my issue fixed. They had just finished cleaning my room, I guess when you only have an overnight bag I can see that it would look like we left. I went to the front desk to check out and told another friendly lady about the drain issue and that they were cleaning my room when I came back. She thanked me, and I checked out. Recommnedation - Have 7am breakfast ready by 6:45 so they can start the day out right for guests greet them properly even if early.

The housekeepers were attentive and very friendly. When we asked about a washer and dryer for some wet socks, they promptly took care of it and brought them back about 15 minutes later. What a nice touch!

We needed to check in early for a wedding and they were able to get us in! We are so grateful for their willingness to accommodate, and the room was adorable! Loved our stay here!

This is an awesome motel! It is super clean, in great shape, very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. They have a nice continental plus breakfast. You can beat the location, just a minute from Kitchen Ketlle Village. If I could give this a 11 out if 10 I would

It was a cozy not too big motel carefully cared for , amazing staff and right in the middle of the Amish farm area. Shops nearby. Perfect Place for a visit.

Everything was great from the moment we arrived to when we left. It was convenient to everything we wanted to do in amish country.

It is not a luxury hotel but very clean and convenient. You are in a center of Amish town. Property has a pass to another hotel 12 min drive where you can use swimming pools(3) at your choice. Breakfast is phenomenal - tasty and plenty: waffles, eggs, sandwiches, yogurt, donuts, cereal, juices, biscuit and gravy, oatmeal, frozen Barrie’s and bagels. Staff is very kind . I would stay there again

Nice motel. Clean and close to many shops in intercourse. I thought it was a bit over-priced but this was the peak tourist season, so I guess that is to be expected. Overall a good place to stay.

What a cute little hotel to stay - well kept and immaculate rooms. The breakfast had so many options and was a great free addition to the stay I would thoroughly recommend to anyone travelling through the area

Room was very clean...beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming...breakfast was a surprise..waffles..donuts...biscuits and gravy..fruit..yogurt and more! I expected coffee and danish and was pleasantly surprised...would not hesitate to stay again..or to recommend.

We stay here most of the time we go to that area. It is very clean and friendly. Breakfast was not bad but the room is small so it is tight. You could always bring it back to your room and be more comfortable. If your looking to just grab a morning snack it is ok but for me it seemed to be almost all carbs. It is a great place to stay an I always recommend it.
