DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Ohio

Carpet could have been much cleaner, especially near baseboards where there was a lot of dust and some cobwebs. It had some stains and could have benefitted from shampooing. The curtains had a long black stain on them and they didn't open properly. The bathroom was clean and the air / heat worked well, although very noisy at times.

Biggest concern was WiFi connection ! Could not stay on WiFi very long kept dropping signals off and on. The floors were not vacuumed. Dirt and crumbs were all over the floor. And we were not told there was free coffee in the lobby.

I was first greeted by a wonderful front desk host, Brittany. She was helping another guest with some local resources and was so pleasant and warm. Next I went up to my room. There were some places in the hallway that could use some attention by the cleaners. However, I get our room was exceptionally clean. I always check beds when we travel and it was very clean. The bathroom is aging but clean. The bar and restaurant were okay. The breakfast was delicious. Our trip was wonderful for a night away to enjoy our local community.
