Shepherd’s Run has a great gym and pool area, and the rooms are fine but small. What surprised us is that it is essentially a wedding venue rather than a true hotel. Much of the property is devoted to wedding reception areas and a tent. We were told the nearby nature reserve was not accessible by foot and that it was filled with bugs. The winery is not yet open because the vines are so new, so they serve Long Island wines at reception. Our room had one tiny wastebasket next to the toilet, no bottled water, and we were told we could have maid service once during our four night stay. Our stay was fine, but it does feel like you’re in a conference center or wedding venue.

Unique hybrid of a Winery, Wellness Center & Hotel in a former "Cottage" that became a convent and then a boarding school. All the character you would expect updated with modern amenities and bonus of wine and yoga. The staff is untraditional, but extremely helpful. Thank you Emily and Madelyn!

We stayed during the week and it was so quiet and private yet in the middle of an area that has tons to do. Close to beaches to walk the shore, restaurants, etc. We had great food on the property and enjoy the pool and grounds. Will return!

Beautiful property, incredibly rennovated and unique, great buffet breakfast, very friendly staff. Quiet and serene setting, nice wine. We didn’t learn until we were there about the pool, hot tub, and complementary yoga class. Find out more and plan ahead if you are having a brief stay so that you can take full advantage of all the site’s wonderful amenities.

I think I most enjoyed the atmosphere at Shepard's Run. This is not your run of the mill hotel stay. The rooms are modern and clean, and I appreciated the spacious bathroom. It was nice to enjoy a non-traditional Continental breakfast each morning with the surrounding, peaceful views either outdoors in the courtyard or throughout the different lounge areas. Unfortunately, we didn't take advantage of the wine tasting but did enjoy the complimentary wine. The only drawback was that the access to the hot tub closed early. I would recommend starting here.

Amazing getaway in an historic stone mansion. Lovely pool. Nice grounds. Wine from the property’s own vineyards. Lots of cozy spaces to escape to — inside and out. Close to beaches Beware: weekend weddings are common. And check in is very late—4pm, which means day of arrival is shortened.

Charming and relaxing weekend away. Staff were wonderful during our stay. Room was very lovely. The hotel is beautifully put together. Personally the only thing I think the room was missing was a coffee and tea machine just because i enjoy a hot cup first thing in the morning before I leave the room. Will be booking again. Great location to just relax and the wine was enjoyable as well!

I loved how unique the Shepherd's Run property is. My King room in the Manor was quite nice (comfy bed, big bathroom, huge walk-in shower). The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of foods with slightly different variation both mornings. I'm looking forward to staying at Shepherd's Run again so I can try their own wine!

We had a lovely stay at Shepherd's Run but it wasn't quite what I expected. The main house, rooms and grounds are beautiful. Decor is fabulous. Beds insanely comfortable. Staff is lovely. the breakfast was so charming. There were lots of weddings the weekend we were there and it created a nice, festive feeling. What we weren't expecting were the two modern buildings that are attached on either side of the manor house where they house the "south wing" rooms. The building looks like a converted 60's/70's church or school and while it has been renovated, we made the mistake of going in the side entrance which was a very strange, cold way to enter and felt like heading to gym class. They text you your room code so you don't need to go to reception but if we had gone in the front, it would have been a totally different feeling. Once we explored the main house we loved the place. They are finishing up a pool on the "south wing" side so I think once it opens it will completely warm up that area. We would definitely go back - but next time stay in the main house.

This is our second time staying at Shepherd's Run and we loved it again! We stayed during the week (with our 2 kids) and it is very quiet. I know there are weddings there on the weekends. The Inn and grounds are beautiful, the wine and charcuterie boards are amazing, the rooms are big and nicely updated with modern finishes and the breakfast is delicious!! I can't say enough good things about this wonderful Inn!

We wanted a quick get away and we love to stay at places that have charm. Shepard’s Run not only for the bill but exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, staff is amenable and room just lovely. We look forward to visiting again as they grow their resort.

Amazing getaway in an historic stone mansion. Lovely pool. Nice grounds. Wine from the property’s own vineyards. Lots of cozy spaces to escape to — inside and out. Close to beaches Beware: weekend weddings are common. And check in is very late—4pm, which means day of arrival is shortened.

I loved how unique the Shepherd's Run property is. My King room in the Manor was quite nice (comfy bed, big bathroom, huge walk-in shower). The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of foods with slightly different variation both mornings. I'm looking forward to staying at Shepherd's Run again so I can try their own wine!

I think I most enjoyed the atmosphere at Shepard's Run. This is not your run of the mill hotel stay. The rooms are modern and clean, and I appreciated the spacious bathroom. It was nice to enjoy a non-traditional Continental breakfast each morning with the surrounding, peaceful views either outdoors in the courtyard or throughout the different lounge areas. Unfortunately, we didn't take advantage of the wine tasting but did enjoy the complimentary wine. The only drawback was that the access to the hot tub closed early. I would recommend starting here.

This is our second time staying at Shepherd's Run and we loved it again! We stayed during the week (with our 2 kids) and it is very quiet. I know there are weddings there on the weekends. The Inn and grounds are beautiful, the wine and charcuterie boards are amazing, the rooms are big and nicely updated with modern finishes and the breakfast is delicious!! I can't say enough good things about this wonderful Inn!

Lovely stay, beautiful property, fabulous interiors and outdoor spaces. All modern updates in rooms and super clean and comfortable beds. Love the friendliness of the staff. Kitchen and bar are limited but that being said it was nice to just relax in a beautiul setting with a glass of wine. Wedding was going on the night we stayed. Brilliant wedding venue and it was still nice and quiet in our room. We'll be back. Looks like they are working on grounds and will keep getting better.
