Lovely rooms each with their own small patio on the small street going to Bilinga beach. Staff were eager to help in any way they could. Free bikes available to cycle along the path between Tugun and Coolangatta. Lovely breakfast and snacks available each day. Highly recommend.

Very fun, so cute and comfy cottage by the sea, just like you remember as kids. All the little things are thought of from the coffee and brekky to bike hire and beach baskets which sets it apart from everywhere else. Staff are wonderful. Thanks for having us. We will be back :)

The Brekky basket was lovely & the unit was clean with bright decor. The property is not managed on site & runs parallel to a busy road. Unit 2 only has street parking.

The staff were approachable, kind and accommodating. Would recommend over and over for convenient location. Suggest to rent a car if coming from interstate. They have a shuttle to and from airport though. 4 hour parking on street 9-5, easy to work around.

A wonderful stay at La Costa Motel. We stayed in Room 7. A nice selection of breakfast items were provided (including real milk!) and it was lovely meeting Ros. It didn’t detract from our experience, but note that the area is quite noisy due to it being very close to the airport (planes fly from 6am - 11pm) and because the walls between rooms are quite thin (ours were separated by an internal door). It may be worth bringing ear plugs. The property is furnished beautifully, loved the additional touches (the beach towels and basket!), the ability to use bikes for free, the gorgeous plants out front etc. Overall an excellent stay. Thank you :)

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Lovely welcom basket. Continental breakfast. Close to Airport. Had noisy people in room next door. At 9pm we knocked on door that was adjoining the rooms and after a sort time the settled down. Planes could be heard for a sort time and so when we were ready to sleep we were not bothered by them. Bikes can̈ be hired to ride along beach path. Parking in street is available. Signs have been erected so people are not in the street and leaving their vehicle while going on a flight, instead of paying for parking at the Airport.

We were required to do self check in and check out so did not get to meet the staff. The room was comfortable but as it faced the streets it was very disturbing at night with light shining in. No blinds or block our curtains. 4 hour free parking is on the street. Property parking not available.

Loved our stay here - was so clean, an absolute credit to the owners Di & John and their staff. Short stroll to surf club for dining etc. Very impressed, appreciated the helpfulness from Di. We will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised, having expected that the description of it as a 1950s motel was simply an excuse for justifying tired and simple rooms. Diane & John clearly take pride in their motel, which shows in all the extra touches they have put in. My only complaint was that there was a lot of noise of people walking around in the room above mine, resuming at 4:30 am. No more sleep after that! The motel was only a short walk to Gold Coast Airport, and a stone’s throw from the beach, which looked lovely.

Lovely quirky motel. New and nice and clean. Room is compact and bathroom tiny. So probably good for a night or two but would be cramped for longer. Welcome pack and breakfast fabulous. Got morning sun but a bit gloomy in the afternoon. OK walk to/from airport- even with heavy bags…

We’ve never stayed in such a charming motel. The presentation, inside and out, was beautiful - and the standard was matched by the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The extra touches such as the free bicycle and delightful continental breakfast were a happy bonus. Our only quibble was, in our unit anyway, with the cramped en suite.

Cute place. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast, we thought we’d miss it as we had an early flight, but it was all in the room when we got there. The place is cute, with a fifties vibe and close to the airport and a beach, The walls are a bit thin but it was great for a night, and walking distance to the Airport.

Nice area & "beachy hotel" not far from the beachfront. For the overnight stay I required, was as good as I hoped it would be!! Only thing I didn't love in the room was the bed wasn't very spacious.

My stay at La Costa couldn’t have been any better! I was so generously met at the airport before being delivered to a little piece of retro paradise on the Gold Coast. The room was fitted out beautifully with lots of thoughtful touches and the free bike rental was an absolute highlight! Fabulous location, incredible accommodation and the most delightful team. this was an incredible place to stay! Rose was so kind and super helpful, she is one of the sweetest people! we were welcomed with a basket of goodies for free, self check in was super easy, we arrived around 9pm, got our key and let ourselves in! we were here for 3 nights and Rose let us borrow bikes for free throughout our stay and it was nothing short of amazing! the area is so beautiful and bikeable, all the dining and shopping is ~5-15 minute bike ride. the beach is absolutely beautiful. but i truly can’t say enough good things about this motel, it was clean, the wifi was good, the AC unit worked really well but honestly the best part was Rose and the other staff. my best friend and i are here in australia on working visas for the first time and we both agreed after we travel around a bit we 10000% will be back to this motel

Not sure why we got twin beds when we were a married couple; but it did not matter as we were only overnighting en route to the Gold Coast Airport. Lovely selection of breakfast options and other nibbles in our room contributed to the loveliness of the place and so handy to local restaurants and the airport.

LOVED our stay here!! We requested an early check-in, which was happily confirmed. Then we turned up even earlier due to personal circumstances, and even this wasn't a problem. Lovely people and such brilliant service!!! They even provide a nice little basket of goodies for breakfast and a bike each to tiki tour around on! Such a neat little place next to the beach and 5 minutes via Uber to the airport. we will be back when next in the GC!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!

The place was perfect for a quick get away, only stayed one night but Diane and John the owners made a big impact on our stay, very friendly and going beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. The breakfast basket was a big win for us, so thoughtful. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

We stayed here for a night before flying out the next morning. 2 minute easy drive to Coolingatta airport... walking distance to the surf club and beach. Would stay here again. Only downside is no pool but i knew this when booking and wasnt planning on needing a pool due to quick visit. But a must if loking for convienient airport accomadation at a good price.

This place is so fabulous. John the owner was so helpful and kind. He made great recommendations and he’s just a really nice person. The room was great - we only stayed 1 night but we would stay here again. 150m from the beach and easy parking out front. Restaurants were a 10 min walk along the beach path. The hotel is clean and very charming, and a wonderful change from all the modern development going up in the area. Thank you John.

Loved the property. Not really convenient to walk to restaurants or shopping. The 700 and 760 bus is great at the end of street to go out without taking car. Beach at end of street. Airport noise not a bother. Would recommend. Excellent hosts.

A little gem of a spot that makes you smile as soon as you see it …… bright and cheerful with a real holiday feel to it. Airport on one side and a 5 minute walk to the beach on the other. We will definitely stay again.

A wonderful stay at La Costa Motel. We stayed in Room 7. A nice selection of breakfast items were provided (including real milk!) and it was lovely meeting Ros. It didn’t detract from our experience, but note that the area is quite noisy due to it being very close to the airport (planes fly from 6am - 11pm) and because the walls between rooms are quite thin (ours were separated by an internal door). It may be worth bringing ear plugs. The property is furnished beautifully, loved the additional touches (the beach towels and basket!), the ability to use bikes for free, the gorgeous plants out front etc. Overall an excellent stay. Thank you :)

Room was clean and tidy. No staff it is a self check in/check out. The welcome basket is excellent with some brekky stuff as well as other drinks and treats. Close to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the airport.

La Costa Motel is soo cute, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us and the check in was very easy and efficient. La Costa is close to all amenities and the beautiful beach. Would highly recommend the stay here

Stayed for a long weekend to attend the footy. Absolutely loved everything about the motel from the location to the rooms and amenities. Bed was comfy, delightful decor and so good to get a complimentary continental breakfast and refreshments - fresh milk was the cherry on top!! Di was friendly from the word go, honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed in, in the WORLD. Will be back. In the meantime, if you're in that neck of the woods please stay!!

LOVED our stay here!! We requested an early check-in, which was happily confirmed. Then we turned up even earlier due to personal circumstances, and even this wasn't a problem. Lovely people and such brilliant service!!! They even provide a nice little basket of goodies for breakfast and a bike each to tiki tour around on! Such a neat little place next to the beach and 5 minutes via Uber to the airport. we will be back when next in the GC!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!

We nabbed this last minute for an overnight stay. Loved the travellers breakfast included. The studio was well appointed and lovingly updated, keeping a warm retro vibe. While it was close to the road the traffic noise was minimal, however we found it wasn't sound friendly otherwise. Could hear conversations clearly next door and any movements. So we played our music enough to not hear that. The a/c was also really loud. All in all a lovely place close to the beach and we would try our another unit there next time with more planning ahead.

Conveniently located near airport (3-5 min drive) and beach (half a block away). Breakfast basket included was perfect for my early morning departure. Wish I would have had more time to enjoy the stay and property.
