Lovely hotel close to many restaurants, easy access to river tours. Pool was closed when we were there which was a surprise…not a particularly pleasant one but ok. The room was lovely but I wouldn’t pay again for a balcony river view…average view at best…perhaps the location though. Staff were fabulous. We didn’t eat there. Very comfortable room.

Great costumer service. Very quiet and close to everything. My only recommendation will be to have a spa room. I had a Thai Traditional massage which was great but they used the area next to the pool and it was noisy since there were kids at the pool, plus they used the sofas that are not a massage bed. So they definitely need a spa room. Overall great hotel.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception, we knew it was a special place. The staff were exceptional! The hotel is right on the river with amazing views. We had a room with a big terrace and sun loungers overlooking the pool and river, which was perfect for cocktails and river boats watching! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The cherry on top was the pool, so beautiful and there was nothing better than starting our day with a very early morning swim, when the “hotel” was still sleeping, the waitress would bring us a coffee…bliss! The location is great, walking distance to Kao Sarn Road without all the noise and raucous people..Grab taxis are very cheap to get you places and the boat in front of the hotel gets you to temples and a great shopping centre! this hotel was the only 4 stars in our 2 weeks holiday in Thailand, but it was everything like a 5 stars, don’t hesitate and book it! We stayed 3 nights here for temples, Chinatown and Kao sarn rd and 1 night at the Eastin phayathai to be in the city centre for shopping. Great experience, loved Bangkok.

Fantastic hotel to stay at in Bangkok! Staff was incredibly helpful, stored our luggage during the day as our flight didn’t leave until 8pm and check out was at 12pm. Room and pool were beautiful. I’d highly recommend the hotel restaurant, the food was delicious and reasonably prices. The location of the hotel was amazing as well with the pier being a 5 minute walk away and khao san road close by. I would highly recommend!!

An absolutely gorgeous hotel, with lovely staff. Pool area great for relaxing with view of river. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable and sparklingly clean. Great location as within 5/10 mins walk of the bustling Khao San Road area, with lots of stall, shops, bar and restaurants. Easy to get taxi or tuk tuk to other areas at a very small cost. Great location to stay. Would definitely recommend as the hotel is a luxurious oasis to retreat to after a hard days sightseeing!

If you are making your first trip to Bangkok, I highly recommend this as the place to stay. It puts you right by the river, which is a much quieter much more interesting place to be than the chaos of downtown. The hotel itself is very clean and very nice with excellent service. You can enjoy a quiet day just hanging out by the pool. You can take the river taxi to any number important. Or you can walk into the madness of the tourist neighborhood nearby I have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. The laundry service is too expensive so on that I’d just take advantage of the small laundry services on the street nearby.

We stayed here for one night and it was perfect. We chose the hotel for it's close location to the synagogue (across the road). The room and pool area were lovely and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to our requirements. The only negative I can think of is that you can hear what's going on in the hallways quite clearly from the room, but this didn't bother us. I would 100% recommend this hotel. ALSO, I had the best cappuccino of my entire stay in Thailand at the poolside bar.

Spacious modern rooms. Great views of the river. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Great breakfast. Only downside was the party boats going up and down the river in the evening but they were done by 9:00 or so.

Excellent location. We stayed at the premium riva room and the room was large and spacious, and the view of the river is fantastic at night. Close to all the major sightseeing sites and acorss the street from thr rambuttri road. Highly recommended!

Great location. Nice hotel. Although we were put in a room with a river view right but over the hotel swimming pool. All people relaxing under the cabana could look into our room on 1st floor. The hotel is a short walk to river Ferry and to Khao San Road and surrounds. Charming district of Bangkok. Would recommend Riva Surya as its value for money in a great location.

A great hidden gem by the river in Bangkok. Extremely friendly staff with a nice pool/deck and great views. The restaurant was great for authentic Thai cuisine, too! Would definitely recommend and revisit!
