Wasn’t sure what I had gotten my self into when I first pulled up. Check in staff was very nice and kind. Check in was fast. The outside of the building looks like a huge dump. Once in the room it was so nice. The room had been completely remodeled. I was very impressed with what the rooms looked like. So many USB ports to charge things.

Very clean, comfortable, would stay again. Good sized rooms. The renovation was a good idea for them. Workers did start working on the roof at 8:00 AM. We were on the 2nd, top floor, so we heard everything, but we were getting ready to leave anyway so it didn't matter to us. Very close to everything, we enjoyed this little hotel. We would absolutely stay again.

Brand new remodeled motel. Has a great ambiance and lighting outside. It was a little bothersome hearing construction going on outside cause it's not completely done. But just gotta get over that small stuff. Definitely a nicer hotel now in Newport oregon

The interior of the rooms looked great. We had to switch rooms because someone had stolen the batteries from the heater thermostat. While the exterior needs some work, the inside is completely redone and looks fantastic. Unfortunately, there was a renovation happening in the room above us, which led to quite a bit of noise at times and in the mornings. They really shouldn’t book rooms in areas where renovations are ongoing. On a positive note, the inside of the room looked great. We did have to call for assistance with the TV, but the staff member arrived quickly, pressed a button, and showed us where it was in case it lost signal again.

Pretty much perfect all around. The room we stayed in was basic and perfectly clean. The hotel had recently been remodeled. This hotel is on the main drag so there was a little traffic noise (I always travel with a white noise generator for just such instances!) but not too bad. The location is in the middle between Nye Beach (ocean) and the bay; we walked to those location. We made the quick drive over the bridge to the aquarium, marine center and Rogue Brewery for dinner. A very good rate for a clean room that was a great base of operations for our weekend in Newport!

The room was mostly clean but the bathtub had hair from a previous tenant and some residue from a shampoo bottle - it didn’t look like it had been thoroughly cleaned. The sheet on the bed also had a bright pink stain on it. The biggest problem was the lack of carpet on the floors and the noise created by that. Having been on the first floor with someone directly above me one night, it was very disruptive. I could hear their tv playing all night; whenever they dropped something (which happened periodically through the night and woke me every time!) or dragged the chair or walked around in their shoes, there was nothing to absorb the noise and it was loud. I got very little sleep my second night there due to this. I did call to complain the following morning and requested a room switch, the staff were nice about it, but niceness can’t muffle the sounds between rooms. I would imagine this issue has been complained of before and I was a bit baffled why, in a mostly vacant motel, they would put someone directly above me. Due to the noise during the night, I missed some events I was there for the next morning as I was too tired and needed a nap after the person above me checked out. Because of this I would not stay here again. Really really need to put some carpet down, at least on the second floor.

Parking outside our room made it easy to load and unload, even with an old camper parked next to our lot, I didn't see evidence of anybody staing in the camper. We would never stay at this hotel again. The level of filth in our family suite was unimaginable. There was trash left over from the previous guest, hair on the toilet, dust coating everything. Within ten minutes of our three children walking around barefoot, their feet were black. There was what looked like fecal matter on the wall by the bathroom sink. The light switch was disgustingly dirty. The pull out couch was stained and filthy, the blankets and sheets with crumbs on them. Stained and soiled blankets on remaining three beds. For $350 we felt robbed. What a disappointment and a health hazard. Never staying again. Would have felt cleaner sleeping on the sidewalk.

This motel has been recently updated in great ways. One problem Expedia can fix - they list the standard King room as about 1,000 sq ft. It is really more like 250 sq ft, and I think that is what they used to say it was under its earlier name - Money Saver. We were on the back side and were thankful since it was quiet and the other side might hear a lot of the highway noise.

I liked everything. Because of the place being an older buliding that has been remodled the walls are very thin and the neighbors kept us up late and up very early.

Really enjoyed the upgraded look and feel! Staff was very welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. My only improvement would be to include a hair dryer in rooms. Traveled alone on this trip and felt very safe. Thank you and I will be back.

Where to start. There was no working wifi. Very bright lighting directly in Front of room window. Shower barely functioned. Rooms are not insulated well you could hear every room and shower around you. Motel is directly next to highway and at about 4:30 am is roaring. Would not recommend if you need a good night sleep.

The rooms are small but updated, very clean and quiet. The a/c works perfectly and I love the furniture. The front desk lady was very nice to accommodate our request. We asked for a room in the first floor because we had heavy suitcases and the property doesn't have an elevator. I would definitely stay here again..

The rooms were excellent, recently renovated, but the outside of the property was very dated looking and located on a busy street so noisy. We kept the fan on all night though and didn’t hear much noise at all with it on.

The room is nice and big and the shower is fantastic. However, we can hear the above tenant moving around, also the air-conditioning unit is loud and there's no way to turn it down. Aside from that, it's ok .

Room service knocked around 9am and again at 10am. Both times they opened the door despite us shouting "no room service". 9 in the morning is way too early to try to clean the room. Knocking twice before checkout is rediculous.

The women at the office didnt have any customer service but we were checked in fast which was nice. The rooms wear pretty clean except a hair in the freezer. Bed was comfy and we loved having ac in the room. However at 10:15 am my husband went to get us breakfast and right after i put my pants on someone knocked on the door while opening it to my room assuming we had checked out qhen check out isn't until 11am. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Would have been a lot worse just a few second before as i didnt have an pants on. They really need to make sure the guests are checked out before they open the room.

Very nice rooms on the inside. But warning if you are choosing this hotel to save money they take a $200 deposit when you arrive! I thought that was pretty high for a motel and did not expect that.

My wife and I planned to stay here for 3 nights but checked out early after we came back on the second night to find our door open from where someone entered our room while we were gone. This property does not offer turnover service until after guests check out, so it could not have been housekeeping. When we brought it up to the desk agent, she suggested the wind blew it open, as if we wouldn't have made sure it was closed when we left for the day. When we checked out the next morning because we didn't feel safe leaving our things in the room again, the same agent was dismissive about it and refused to refund the third night. I'm not saying it was the agent, but I am saying she was the only person we saw working there, and she knew we took a cab into town for the day. If you decide to stay here, make sure to take anything valuable out of the room with you.

Unfortunately, there was a renovation happening in the room above us, which led to quite a bit of noise at times and in the mornings. They really shouldn’t book rooms in areas where renovations are ongoing. On a positive note, the inside of the room looked great. We did have to call for assistance with the TV, but the staff member arrived quickly, pressed a button, and showed us where it was in case it lost signal again.

While the exterior needs some work, the inside is completely redone and looks fantastic. This motel is pretty good for the price. There were a few places that had some dirt, but it didn't bother us too much. The room was nice and the shower was pretty high-end! The front desk woman was absolutely excellent! She came to assist us in a matter of seconds, even late at night. She was so sweet and helpful. I would not recommend staying here if you don't have a car. Newport doesn't have much public transportation and our Uber app couldn't find any drivers in the area. To get food, we had to walk next to a busy and loud highway. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its cheap price and quality.

Pretty much perfect all around. The room we stayed in was basic and perfectly clean. The hotel had recently been remodeled. This hotel is on the main drag so there was a little traffic noise (I always travel with a white noise generator for just such instances!) but not too bad. The location is in the middle between Nye Beach (ocean) and the bay; we walked to those location. We made the quick drive over the bridge to the aquarium, marine center and Rogue Brewery for dinner. A very good rate for a clean room that was a great base of operations for our weekend in Newport!

Rare to find A/C on the Oregon coast but Money Saver rooms have it. Several updated features in room in spite of a fairly run-down looking exterior. Quiet and cozy. My key didn’t work at first but the friendly hostess made a new one right away.

The exterior is very sketchy. If you can get beyond that, the room is actually nice and it's comfortable. It was clean and the bed was good. There is a fair bit of traffic noise, and the motel is right in front of a hospital so be prepared for sirens. For a place to crash for the night without spending a fortune, Money Saver works.

Stayed two nights, 7/2 & 7/3. Overall a good experience for the price. One thing I did noticed was there wasn’t a coffee maker listed in the amenities and upon arrival there is not a lobby area that offers coffees. Thankfully I brought my own.

We had a great stay here. The room is really modern and updated. The outside makes it look like it's going to be old school inside, but that definitely wasn't the case. The only complaint is that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, (my fault for not noticing in the ammenities section) but will take that into account next time. The front desk person was really nice, too! Will definitely stay here again!

2 or 3 years since last stay there and it was much 'nicer'. Looked like the room had been updated. Came with a small microwave and refrigerator/freezer. Only downside was no coffee service. Overall, a decent high value place to spent a night. I was put off by the $175 deposit after paying for the room online. Now I need to make sure it gets refunded.

When we pulled up we were a little disappointed. But when we got in our room it was so clean and it was remodeled really nice. The bed was so comfy. The only down side for us was there was no coffee pots in the room or lobby, but I talked to the manager and she said they were going to be putting some in. And remodel the outside of the building soon.

Decent budget motel with standard amenities. Noisy shower from next door or upstairs ran for half hour delaying my sleep. Very noisy. So was their TV. With my early morning call at 3:30 AM it allowed me to get maybe 3 hours of sleep. Refrigerator and freezer worked. But I was very surprised that there was no in room coffee service. I've stayed there before and don't recall them not having one or I wouldn't have gone back. Now that I know they don't, I won't.

For a last-minute, Friday-summer-night reservation, this motel beat our expectations. The outside is older, and it's right on Hwy. 101. Don't let that bother you. The rooms are very clean and nicely updated, with clean hard floors instead of questionable carpet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We slept very well. (We were on the back side of the motel; the front may be louder.) Safe parking for a truck and trailer on the street right outside our window, by the hospital. No coffee option at all in the room was a bummer, and there wasn't any in the lobby. The desk clerk who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Shower in room was powerful and hot. Altogether a good stay. Would visit again.

Room service knocked around 9am and again at 10am. Both times they opened the door despite us shouting "no room service". 9 in the morning is way too early to try to clean the room. Knocking twice before checkout is rediculous.
