Location was great where it was very walkable to all the shops and restaurants in the area. Stayed in the private room -- meant for 4 people, only 1 chair for sitting, would have been nice if there was at least 2 chairs, since it's not really an option to be sitting on the bunk beds to be doing things properly. The beds were too soft. Parking is tricky, but check with the staff to get assistance with finding a spot. Location was great where it was very walkable to all the shops and restaurants.

If u like hostels, this is just as u would expect one (: Good price, clean and nice staff. Breakfast was okay, the kitchen small, so when it’s busy a little bit tricky. Everything is walkable, public transportation right in front of the door. The bed is loud when u turn and the mattress just okay comfortable but completely fine for 2-3 nights in my opinion. Nice outdoor seating options + comfy heated lobby. I love that they have a liquor store!! Amazing single can options which is nice for solo traveling.

My first hostel stay and it won’t be the last! I lucked out with a clean room, great roommates and the location was perfect and walkable to shopping and restaurants. Liquor store onsite, decent variety of breakfast although I found the kitchen a little chaotic and confusion. Some signage would help! I’d definitely recommend this as an affordable place to stay while visiting Banff (hotels are outrageously priced, this was a fraction of the cost!)

The 3 days we were there, we had ONE breakfast because all they served was cereal & toasted bread. No protein or other nutritious options. The rooms were old and dirty. The towels were smelly. TV does not work. The heater was ON the entire time and we cannot control it. Worst place I ever stayed at

If you book with anitcipation and having a big group who dont mind sleeping in a same room then its a very cheap. Otherwise stay away. You get what you pay for. Its not clean at all.

This hostel is in a good location. Not too close to the hustle and bustle of Banff street but within easy walking distance of everything. The kitchen area is clean. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are very nice.

There’s no ac and the room was hot. You couldn’t open all two windows- one for safety reasons and the other was the road noise. Able to open the small window in the bathroom but wasn’t able to cool off the room. I had issues sleeping due to heat - kept waking up. Lots to do around the hostel from shopping dining and entertainment. Buses are within walking distance. Comfortable bed and privacy curtains.

It was a decent stay, but the room felt like a bit too warmer than we’d expect, and the only way to cool a bit is to use the table-top fan they gave for each bed, which wasn’t enough. I arrived past the checkin time, at around 1.45am and they checked me in without any issues. Also the checkout was pretty seamless - i gave my parking pass and room key, and that was it.

Very very hot that I couldn’t sleep many nights in a row !! Not very clean! Bed sheets were dirty! But also other people didn’t much care about cleanness as they would through their hair in sink causing blockage. The staff and manager were good and attentive! But overall I had an uncomfortable stay.

Good location - 15 min walk to downtown. Rooms small but great to have a bathroom in the suite. Think I preferred the Hi-Alpine hostel. However - Staff were friendly. Good wifi. Being old, I was hoping for a lower bunk. Apparently the other person said she “had” to have a bottom bunk… person in her early 20s stuff strewn around the room. If you’re in the top bunk there is no where to sit in the room. Nice space outside to sit and in reception space. Great to have supplied for breakfast provided. Tip - wash every dish before use. Pack ear plugs - there was a heavy snorer in the room and people coming and going unable to stop the door from crashing shut.

Good and reasonale price. They have a simple Bf but filling. Staff are very nice. Also its quiet. close to downtown Banff which is good and walking distance to restaurants, cafe, IGA supermarket. I enjoyed my stay.

My first check in with the aussie dude desk attendant and girl was awesome. His relief was impolite and when I asked to be switched from a dirty mixed room to a clean women’s there was an issue at first. Not really accommodating, and I’ve lived in some hostel dives in Australia. Wouldn’t stay again but the ppl I met were awesome and some of the workers are solid. Cheers!

This is honestly a great place to stay for a few days, with a good breakfast spread and the friendliest staff ever, I loved interacting with them all and we laughed so much they really make the stay even better. We walked from the hostel to town every time and it is so close. I highly suggest this hostel :)

This was an excellent headquarters for launching my excursions around Banff. The staff delivered superior service when I requested a change of room. The rooms were clean and orderly with every amenity I could want. The premises were also clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The kitchen had every appliance, pots, pans, stoves, utensils, everything anyone could want. It was clean and easy to use. There was a laundry which I used gratefully. Altogether, this was much better than staying in a hotel.

If u like hostels, this is just as u would expect one (: Good price, clean and nice staff. Breakfast was okay, the kitchen small, so when it’s busy a little bit tricky. Everything is walkable, public transportation right in front of the door. The bed is loud when u turn and the mattress just okay comfortable but completely fine for 2-3 nights in my opinion. Nice outdoor seating options + comfy heated lobby. I love that they have a liquor store!! Amazing single can options which is nice for solo traveling.

Good location - 15 min walk to downtown. Rooms small but great to have a bathroom in the suite. Think I preferred the Hi-Alpine hostel. However - Staff were friendly. Good wifi. Being old, I was hoping for a lower bunk. Apparently the other person said she “had” to have a bottom bunk… person in her early 20s stuff strewn around the room. If you’re in the top bunk there is no where to sit in the room. Nice space outside to sit and in reception space. Great to have supplied for breakfast provided. Tip - wash every dish before use. Pack ear plugs - there was a heavy snorer in the room and people coming and going unable to stop the door from crashing shut.

This is honestly a great place to stay for a few days, with a good breakfast spread and the friendliest staff ever, I loved interacting with them all and we laughed so much they really make the stay even better. We walked from the hostel to town every time and it is so close. I highly suggest this hostel :)

The 3 days we were there, we had ONE breakfast because all they served was cereal & toasted bread. No protein or other nutritious options. The rooms were old and dirty. The towels were smelly. TV does not work. The heater was ON the entire time and we cannot control it. Worst place I ever stayed at

I stayed for 2 nights and booked a room with double bunk beds. I paid just over 1000 dollars for a 2 night stays (hey it’s Banff!). The door to the bathroom made a loud noise whenever it was opened or closed as the edge of the door was rubbing on the floor each time. Also, dont fall for the free breakfast. They just have some cereals, bread and jam and its help yourself kinda place. Its basically a hostel and a place to crash. I would have been much happier at a motel but I knew what i was signing up for. Otherwise the bed and the room was clean and they provided what is required for your stay.

My first hostel stay and it won’t be the last! I lucked out with a clean room, great roommates and the location was perfect and walkable to shopping and restaurants. Liquor store onsite, decent variety of breakfast although I found the kitchen a little chaotic and confusion. Some signage would help! I’d definitely recommend this as an affordable place to stay while visiting Banff (hotels are outrageously priced, this was a fraction of the cost!)

The worse hostel I have ever had. The staff who handled my check-in was extremely unpleasant and totally unhelpful. No lock was provided for locker. She suggested me to buy at the gas station. I failed to get one and returned to talk to her. She found me a lock without any difficulties at all but charged me $5. The locker is very narrow and barely good for one carry-on suitcase. The hostel has storage for larger items but very dirty as for garbage storage. Top of the fridge inside the dorm was very dirty and dusty. The water tank of the toilet has water leaking issue. I had to open the lid to fix that in order to prevent wasting of water. Told staff re same. Breakfast is totally self help, made my own pancakes.
