For a solo traveler, this is a great priced hotel for you, especially in the Grand Central neighborhood! I walked in and was greeted by multiple concierge workers asking if I needed help / help with my bags. The check in process was super seamless. As for the room, I had a full pod with private bathroom. They do have pod’s that are shared with a shared bathroom. I just couldn’t bare the thought of sharing a shower with others but that’s just me. The full pod was extremely clean and very quaint. The bathroom area had a sliding glass door with a rainfall shower and was spotless. I would definitely stay here again, if I need to be in the grand central neighborhood. I know they have other properties in other NY neighborhoods as well. Definitely check them out!

It was ok I mean I found trash behind the bed. And it wasn’t ours. Also they didn’t provide eggs or bacon or sausages for breakfast it was the same thing everyday.

I stay at Pod 39 quite often and I’m usually fine with the rooms. You are not paying Four Seasons prices so you can’t expect Four Seasons style. However, this time I had a room which definitely should have been out of service until maintained. The rungs of the luggage rack were so rusted that I would never put luggage on them, and the legs of the desk were not much better. The shampo dispenser was broken and the conditioner bottle was missing, the bottle of shower gel was empty. This was fixed when requested but the room should have been checked before it was made available. That said Pod hotels are still generally the best bargain in town with en-suite bathrooms.
