I always love staying at the Pod - and this time didn't disappoint. The room design and storage is well-thought out and I'm comfortable when I come home from the day to sleep. This trip there seemed to be constant issues with the elevators - I saw repairment working on them at least one day of my trip, and my last morning, there was a long wait when it appeared that all 3 elevators were down, or at least not responding to the buttons. I actually checked out early because I was nervous my travel would be delayed if I was stuck on the 14th floor with a suitcase!

Great price, the location was fairly close to broadway, and many restaurants. You can be in Time Square in less than 30 min walking. The room is small, we were tired so we slept well, but there the walls are thin, so you can hear many sounds at night. For a night or two is great. Also they offer parking a property around the corner, so that was great, we probably will be back.

The facility fee $22 plus facility fee tz of $2.20 was not mentioned as Hotels website indicated that the price included all fees and taxes. When I checked in it was not mentioned either. The check in person said that I was all paid up and my credit card would only be used if I charged something to the room. Instead I was charged an additional $68.

I was there for a solo trip and this place checks all the boxes. I’m used to the tight spaces associated with nyc living, and this definitely fits the bill. As expected with a place called pod, this is a small room, equipped with full bathroom, safe, twin bed, hangers, and desk. Only thing missing was a mini fridge. It’s absolutely perfect for nyc on a budget or brief trips where youre not looking for lavishnes. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The amenities were great to get you going including free coffee in the morning and gym day passes to the blink around the corner. The rooftop bar is beauitful and a great place to get your work done during the day because no one really utilized it. There was exterior construction during the day but that didnt disturb any of my sleeping hours.

Cute and affordable Design-Hotel in the hearth of New York. The rooftop is adorable, the rooms are very clean, but tiny. It’s just impressive how they use every space. Every room got its own bathroom, the glass sliding-door just does not leave a lot of privacy in it. The rooftop bar is adorable, you can see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The free coffee and tea in the morning is a big plus. For that price the best deal we found in New York.

Our stay at Pod 39 was very enjoyable. The hotel location is perfect. Quiet yet close to Grand Central, Chrysrel Building, Empire State and Times Square, lots of shop and eating out options nearby. The hotel itself is in good condition. Its highlight is the rooftop. In the morning the bar is closed but you can still go there and eat breakfast & enjoy the views. Downstairs they have another bar. In the morning there is a free coffee and tea and some breakfast options are available to buy like pastries, sandwiches or fresh fruit. There is also a drinkable water station available all day. Staff were amazing and very helpful. They offered quick check-in, check-out and free luggage storage. We had a small issue with our room but they were very prompt to help us out. Since they couldn't resolve the problem, they changed our room and offered us breakfast vouchers. The room was exactly what we expected from the photos. It was small, the bathroom doors were glass sliding, not offering too much privacy. But for us it was perfect, it was comfortable, offered everything we needed. The first room we had, on the 5th floor was quite dark as the window was looking at the small back courtyard, completely surrounded by other buildings. The other room, located at the 11th floor, located on the same side, was much better. My only pointer would be to bring a charging block with you, not just a cable, as our room had only 1 USB socket.

The hotel registers your card for deposit upon arrival, claims that the fee is for complimentary tea and coffee, guided tours and "access to the gym" and claims that you will only be charged based on how much you used these "services". However, they have no way of checking what services you have actually used and charge the whole fee anyway. We stayed for 5 nights and it set us back $115 in unexpected costs. We did not use the gym or took any tours. This turned out to be the most expensive "free" coffee of our life... Another important notice. The hotel claims that the "Full Pod room" has "capacity to sleep two guests". This is very much stretching the truth. Two normal sized adults will not have a good time in this room, unless you are comfortable with going to the bathroom 12 inches from your co-traveler's face. The short video on the website showing the room is cut in a way that does not display reality. So, if you still choose to book with these guys, make sure to book directly on their website to avoid hidden fees and book a bigger room if you aren't traveling solo. Or better, choose another hotel.

The room is tiny, but that was expected. The desk is fastened to the wall in such a way that it obstructs the power receptacles. but the worst thing was that every morning the area around the coffee service was very dirty. The garbage can was filthy, always filled, and constantly running out of the different creamers.

Unfortunately, my bed sheets were not clean and had recent stains, the air conditioning was leaking and there was a mold smell in the bedroom. For some reason the fire alarm went out 3 times in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. They say in the hotel facilities that there will be bottles of water in the room but there was none. The hallways are super noisy. My room was just under the rooftop bar and there was a lot of movement in the hallway for dragging boxes around. Staff are friendly and location is good

I enjoyed my stay at the Pod 39 the staff were very kind and the room was just what I needed for my one night trip to new york city. I will note that the remote for the TV was very gross and almost caked in dirt and I was worried the rest of the room may be as gross but it seemed fine. I definitely recommend the stay for the price, I will most certainly be staying here again but I will not touch that TV remote!

The cleanliness was exceptional, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint about Pod39 is that the outlets above the desk never seem to work. I always have to climb under the desk to use the outlets to charge my phone and other electronic devices. As a senior, that’s not very convenient.

Its an OK option. Great location. Poor design choices mean the small space doesnt work as well as it could - so the narrow shower area (fine) gets more unpleasant because a nylon shower curtain is continually blown by the air con and constantly wraps around you. Little fixes would make it better.

This is a decent and clean Hotel is you are on a budget. The rooms are small but it’s well located and I wouldn’t stay there for too many nights though and btw the bathroom it’s right there in the room without much privacy so keep that in mind if you are staying with so someone else. This is the perfect Hotel if you are traveling alone in my opinion and on a budget. Again, not bad but it is what it is.

This was my third or fourth stay at Pod39. Staff is unfailingly helpful and responsive. Housekeeping is great and the location is wonderful. Yes, the rooms are small, but they're intelligently designed and laid out.

Always a great stay!!! I’ve never been disappointed with the Pod hotels. For the first time I took one of the free tours provided by the hotel. Also very pleased with the actual tour and the wonderful tour guide. Housecleaning is A+. Front end staff is excellent.

Pod 39 is in an excellent location for getting pretty well anywhere in the city; it's easy to walk and to get public transport. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff was nice.

Very clean and great location. Friendly service. Room was very small but that was to be expected. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it if I was sharing the room with others since for example the bathroom is pretty close to the bed, but I think it is great for solo traveling. Appreciated the rain shower head. The hotel has a fun, hip vibe to it. I LOVED the rooftop.

Great location with easy access to Grand Central Station, the New York Public Library and Times Square. Plenty of eating options within a block radius and great amenities at the hotel itself. Well worth the stay and would definitely go back.

Cute and affordable Design-Hotel in the hearth of New York. The rooftop is adorable, the rooms are very clean, but tiny. It’s just impressive how they use every space. Every room got its own bathroom, the glass sliding-door just does not leave a lot of privacy in it. The rooftop bar is adorable, you can see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The free coffee and tea in the morning is a big plus. For that price the best deal we found in New York.

The location of the hotel is perfect for moving around the city. As expected, the room was very small, but that's ok. I wish there were more hangers for accommodating stuff, and a mini fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the AC perfect for the hot summer. What I didn't like about there room was how little privacy the bathroom has, since the door is a clear sliding door just next to the bed. Also, there is no extractor in the bathroom and the room gets humid after taking showers. The rooftop has a pretty view, but the drinks are poorly made and very very expensive for how low quality they are.

Our stay at Pod 39 was very enjoyable. The hotel location is perfect. Quiet yet close to Grand Central, Chrysrel Building, Empire State and Times Square, lots of shop and eating out options nearby. The hotel itself is in good condition. Its highlight is the rooftop. In the morning the bar is closed but you can still go there and eat breakfast & enjoy the views. Downstairs they have another bar. In the morning there is a free coffee and tea and some breakfast options are available to buy like pastries, sandwiches or fresh fruit. There is also a drinkable water station available all day. Staff were amazing and very helpful. They offered quick check-in, check-out and free luggage storage. We had a small issue with our room but they were very prompt to help us out. Since they couldn't resolve the problem, they changed our room and offered us breakfast vouchers. The room was exactly what we expected from the photos. It was small, the bathroom doors were glass sliding, not offering too much privacy. But for us it was perfect, it was comfortable, offered everything we needed. The first room we had, on the 5th floor was quite dark as the window was looking at the small back courtyard, completely surrounded by other buildings. The other room, located at the 11th floor, located on the same side, was much better. My only pointer would be to bring a charging block with you, not just a cable, as our room had only 1 USB socket.

Unique find for this price. I’ve stayed at many hotels in New York, but never been as happy as here. The rooms are small, but very well fitted, clean and with good aircondition. And the rest of the hotel, from common areas to the rooftop and bar was great. Staff was very welcoming and cool too. 10/10 would recommend
