Such a nice Bar and Restaurant but as usual the food is horrible. They did t have 2nd hot tub open so unable to use hot tub cause filled with kids. The heat wouldn’t shut off it was 80 degrees they did move us but wicked inconvenience. Sunny but freezing and they didn’t have fire pits in during the day so couldn’t really sit out and enjoy view was to cold and windy. Very little open in the area. Would not go until at least May but we will never be back to the Anchorage way over priced

This location is great, easy walk to Perkin’s Cove, the beach and dining. The heated outpost pool is wonderful - as well as the view from the front lawn. If that isn’t enough - the staff is great! Highly recommend this hotel!

The place was full, noisy and not sound proofed. Apart from babies crying all night, our next door neighbor snores like the Beanstalk ogre. The pool areas were full of screaming kids so couldn’t use the facilities we’d spent money on to use.

I had called before I booked to make sure the fire pit and hot tub would be open they said yes unless rain or snow. It was sunny the whole time and it was closed. There were a few of us couples there for my 60th birthday. The upstairs bar was amazing!!

I enjoyed the property have bikes for guests to use, I loved having access to several pools and a sauna. The outdoor seating area was beautiful and lovely. We also enjoyed having access to walk along Marginal Way.

The location was great. The rooms were very basic. Very very basic. The 24hr coffee option was nice but it taste like watered down spit. Upgrade your system maybe? The indoor pool is small but ok. The outdoor one looks nice but its closed until summer, understandable. Staff were extremely nice. Our room had an empty tissue box and the fridge was located in the bathroom. Very strange. You cant change the heat in the room from 68...it seems. Keep pressing the button but number didnt change. But for some reason if you press the up button mamy times the room was 99 degrees when we got back at the end of the night. No joke. There are a lot of options i. OGT for lodging, and this isnt terrible. Just basic.

This is my first stay at The Anchorage but it won’t be my last. The property is beautiful with gorgeous views of the ocean. They have chairs and fire pits outdoors. The Marginal Way is easily accessible. All the staff (reservation desk, housekeeping, wait staff) were attentive and friendly. The property has a second floor bar with a beautiful view. It also has a restaurant where I had breakfast everyday. The eggs benedict was so good, I ordered it everyday. I’ll definitely be back!

I am not a diva. If it weren’t for the view, this would be a one star. We stayed in the towers - absolutely filthy carpet. Truly, truly disgusting. The beds had plastic sheets beneath in case a kid pissed them. Six hundred dollars a night im embarrassed to say we paid it for Labor Day. Pure supply and demand. They just took as much as they could. Would never stay again.

Room smelled musty and almoat like pee. Pillows were damp and bed sheets were dirty. Rug had big stain not sure what it was. Hot tub had kids in it right up until 9 but rules say no kids. Only reason to stay was location.

Awfu awful awful. The rooms smell musty. Terrible dirty old carpets that are never cleaned. My son was walking barefoot in the room his feet turned black literally!!! It’s disgusting. Plus there is no room service!!! You have to ask for new towels and trash bags!! We paid $750 a night!!! That’s 5 star hotel prices. DO NOT GO THERE TRUST ME.

Beautiful outside areas & restaurant on property is great. However the carpets in the room and throughout the “towers” building were absolutely filthy. I am not sure if other buildings are better or newer, but they should really invest in getting the flooring renovated, couldn’t even walk barefoot in our room after a shower without our feet / and socks getting dirty! and you can see the filth on the carpet as you walk up the stairs, for the money it should be a lot cleaner/ newer. I would not stay again and I picked up on a lot of weird smells throughout. I also did not find the front desk to be that helpful in a few different scenarios.

The floor is so dirty that they give you slippers to wear in the room. The walls are paper thin you can hear everyone talking outside. It it wasn’t for the view I would never stay here

The holiday decorations were beautiful and the location was perfect centrally located between Perkins Cove and the town of Ogunquit. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The negative is the rooms were definitely lacking in USB charging stations with only 2 per room which is definitely not enough with 2 adults. My suggestion would be to update the room lamps with additional charging stations on built into the lamps.

This is the most beautiful hotel in Ogunquit - the amenities are excellent, beautiful views, excellent restaurant. Within walking distance to everything. We stayed here twice in August for 2-3 days each. The reason I would not give it a 5 star rating is that the rooms are very small, and in some units the bathroom is really tiny with no counter space. This unit also had a torn lampshade -not a huge issue but if you're spending this kind of money for a night, I expect it to be better. It was cramped with 2 people, never mind the 4 it said it could accommodate. I think it needs some updating.

Beware when booking through Expedia! Even though you need to enter how many children as well as their ages at the time of booking—when you show up at Anchorage, they won’t honor the quote you received, and if your kids are over the age of three, they will charge you 20 bucks per kid per night. Front desk staff and manager, (besides Antonio) were completely unprofessional, rude and entirely unsympathetic about fixing the situation, which appears to be an issue with them and Expedia. Even though my reservation was for four people, they said it didn’t matter they needed to charge me for my kids. We had been coming there for years and we’re appalled at the way we were treated. There was a woman checking in before me with the same exact issue. They were not willing to concede or work with us on the issue and as she was sobbing, so upset about the situation and arguing her point, and trying to get a refund the manager hid in the back office and called the police on her.

Pros - - We really enjoy this location because it’s walkable to the places we like to go. - Even when you have a room that doesn’t have a beach view the beach is right there. - We like the bar/restaurant there. - front desk staff always very nice. Cons - - This time we were in the building across the street (not on the beach side) And I will be sure to request that we only stay on the beach side of the road. - at least one of the entry points in that building was never locked, even though it was set up to require a key to get in. (? broken). - There was a very loud knock at 9:30 in the morning, asking if we needed towels. I think there were a few reasons why that annoyed me 1) There were two guests there were four towels and it was just one overnight stay. 2) We had the do not disturb sign out. 3) they also have a list that you can check off what you need and leave it on the door knob, Which we obviously did not have out. - Lastly, and this is not unique to this location because it seems to happen most places - Why are staff so loud outside of rooms in the morning? Either congregating and having their own very loud conversations or having their very loud conversations on their speakerphone?

This was an excellent property to stay at. There was a tremendous view of the ocean and a very comfortable outdoor setting for relaxing and viewing. The Marginal Way was easily accessible. The restaurant was very good. The staff was professional and kind. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff checking in/out were incredibly rude, they didn't get the full deposit that I paid on Expedia. I showed her the transaction and she was arguing with me telling me it was the fees Expedia charged. They don't charge fees. This was my HONEYMOON and I noted it on the reservation, no acknowledgment from the staff or a congratulations. Other places we have stayed actually seem to want your business and have done little gestures to show appreciation to their guests, something as simple as welcoming us there, the woman was rude and cold. Not this place! I spent the better part of the weekend going back and forth between Expedia and Anchorage about the missing money. We had to dispute with our credit card company before nobody would take accountability. We finally got our money back when my credit card saw my endless back and forth. It's in a nice location, food is marginal at best, but this was enough to tarnish from ever wanting to go back to this place! There are a TON of places to stay on this strip, I would highly recommend exploring them over this place any day!

Beautiful property in the center of town, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and right by the Marginal Way. The hotel offers a restaurant with many breakfast options and a spectacular view of the ocean. The staff is courteous and helpful. I will go back for sure on my next stay to Ogunquit.

My friend and I just had a wonderful stay. The hotel was beautiful. We loved the outdoor area with the Adirondack chairs on the grassy area, plenty of lounge chairs and we love the proximity to marginal way. We also ate at the restaurant three times and we thought it was very good. Can’t say enough good things about it!!!!

The hotel and room were clean and super comfortable. I loved that we could see the ocean from our room - the only downside was the breakfast staff at the restaurant were rude and so slow to even acknowledge us after we were seated, we left without ordering. I would stay again and not use the restaurant.

I think its time we go back to housekeeping, covid is long gone. No continental nothing, not even a muffin, force you to go to the restaurant which is over priced, and really not good food. Little under whelming for me in General.

Our hotel stay was excellent but very disappointed in the restaurant. No atmosphere. We were seated near the kitchen and we could hear the staff talking and pots clanging throughout our stay. We were disappointed that there was no lobster on the menu. What we had was very good however. The waitress was also very attentive.
