El Rancho Motel

We LOVED this place. It was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway. Very clean room. Very quiet and great water pressure. The only thing that was missing was a working ice machine but it looked like it may have been unplugged for repairs. Nonetheless, we will be staying here again.

Stephanie was great! Check in was easy and quick.We appreciated her help. The room was clean and quiet. Parking was right in front of the room and that made it easy to unload and load the car. We were able to get off the road and relax. This is our second stay here and both stays were wonderful. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

These little rustic motels are my very favorite places to stay. Room was perfect for a single person, two people may have been tight. Loads of pillows and soft bedding. Tiny bathroom, but with quaint character. My favorite part of the room was the ceiling fan!!!!!!!! Wi-Fi was slow so don’t take work there ! No special amenities but I don’t need them or like paying for them :) the room did have a fridge and microwave and nice shower products. It was walking distance to all the main Bishop shops.

The area isn't fancy or pretty but it's fairly quiet and an easy walk to much of downtown Bishop. The room was very basic and a little outdated except the bathroom which had been updated recently. Room was clean. It did include a tiny kitchen and a full size fridge, which was nice.

Check in was super easy. They don’t do late check-ins but you can get your key at nearby motel. Room was ok. You can see them trying to make it cute with small details but my biggest concern was the door. I couldn’t for the life of me get it to close/lock at first because the bolt wouldn’t go inside the plate. I basically had to slam it close to finally get it to work. Air conditioning worked well for a 95 degree day. Bed sheets were nice and soft but bed itself wasn’t the most comfortable. They had an ice machine right outside just wish they would protect the scoop a bit better. Could have been a bit cleaner but I did get a “cheaper” motel. Their sister hotel Trees motel has a fire pit for the evening which was cool but this lot was more spacious for car and quieter. What I do love about motels is being able to park right in front because i always forget things in the car and rather do small locals then bigger chains when i can. Just not the nicest of the ones I’ve done but also not the worst!

Overall a good value, but I do not like staying at a facility with no staff on hand for questions or support. No breakfast is a disappointment.

Close to US 395 Sierra highway. Plenty of street parking and within walking distance from Family Dollar store.

This was a clean space and well equipped. Nothing fancy here but we had a fridge, microwave, tv, warm water, working heater, and a decent bed. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place. But if you just need a decent space to rest up, this will do.

Bathroom was dirty, there was a cockroach in the sink. Floors were sticky. Property is disgusting.

Walking into the room, had a strong smell of mold. The shower was moldy, and the smell permeated the whole room. There were bugs on the walls. There was a coffee maker with creamer, etc. but no coffee. The soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower were broken. The office is never open so you need to go to another motel to check in and get your key. On the plus side, the bed was not too uncomfortable and the room seemed somewhat clean other than the bugs and mold. The window A/C unit worked okay.

I have a small room with just the queen, but it was extremely comfortable clean and had everything I needed easy parking close to everything would definitely stay here again.

Dirty, roaches in bathroom as well as ants. Dirty towel behind bathroom door. Sand on floor and no maid service the following day. You get what you pay for.

This is the dirtiest gross motel I have ever stayed in. If we weren’t so tired and all other options full we would have left. Bathroom sink had 3 big cracks and the bathroom had not been cleaned at all since prior guest. Black soap suds all over the sink and soap holder in the shower. Floors filthy and mini frig dirty and sticky. Duct tape on floor holding pieces together. Couldn’t sleep we were so creeped out and left at 3 am. Yuck!!!

Worst experience ever. Dirty room, bathtub had some stains of I don’t know what, bed headrest had some sort of liquid stains on them. No coffe for the coffe maker, no hand soap, blind didn’t close properly cause it was Brocken. Had to put a blanket in the window to cover the light, only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people, we had to buy our own and we found dead roaches in the floor. And you can’t ask for anything cause the checking was in a different hotel so there was no one at the place to ask for stuff. By the way, we found old socks in one of the drawers and the set of Keyes that they gave us weren’t even the same.

Stephanie was AWESOME! We were running behind and she made sure to put our key in the afterhours and reassured us that all wouldbe ok. We called early in the day and again around 8 oclock ar night and she answereboth times very quickly and made us feel comfortable. The room was very nice and we enjoyed the kitchen. Overall avery peaceful and restful experience. We will definitely benack another time! 😊

Only a block from US 395 and the excellent Great Basin Bakery. Kitchen unit had working stove and full-sized fridge but poorly stocked with minimal cooking utensils.

The motel room has everything: 2 comfortable beds, AC (a bit loud), a small fridge, coffee maker, a small microwave. Shower has good water pressure. Quite clean. Convenient. Good price. The only downside is the thin walls, so it's a bit noisy.

El Rancho Hotel is centrally located, and the staff was responsive. If they want to get better reviews, they need better wifi, especially since their TV options were dependent on wifi!

Good stay, in spite of the issue at check in. We were staying at El Rancho hotel, got an email to check in at Trees motel, which we did for our key and talked to a gal who told me where I’ll ranch was ( .5 mi). We got ther and ther was no room number 108 (our room number). I called the number and they apologized and said someone was supposed to call me to let me know I was changed to Trees motel ( which we just left) due to plumbing issues. I received no call. We went back to Trees motel and there was room 107! You would have thought the girl looking at the envelope with my key in it would have known! Anyway the room was lovely, clean and the bedding was comfortable. The walls were very thin. The 4 people staying on one side of us had a lovely conversation and many laughs which we had to listen to, and the person on the other side snored all night! Other than that it was a lovely comfortable room maybe better insulation in walls between rooms???

The Ritz it isn't, but very clean with very comfortable beds and I took an instant liking to everyone we met. Hospitable. The rooms are air conditioned but this is noisy, which was the only really down side. The place is old if that bothers you. It doesn't bother me as long as it's clean and comfortable.

Shower was amazing. We ended up having to leave early and staff worked with us on a partial refund which was very much appreciated! Great business ethic!

We have stayed here multiple times, this is our go to hotel on our annual visits to Bishop! Never have been disappointed. Jason was very nice and helpful to us. The room was clean and the people were very friendly.

It started off by I me get an email asking me to go to their sister hotel to check in that there was no one at the office at the hotel I was staying at. Then the maid, letting us put our luggage into the room because it still was not completed yet and informing us that they will put the key into the dropbox that they have to continue finishing the room that night upon coming back. There was no key however there was a key to a completely different room. Which we were forced to stay into with no luggage or toiletries the next day the hotel management apologized and said that there was a confusion with the maid, and she took the wrong key. Once we finally got into our hotel room. The toilet was clogged it would not flush for 2 days. We complained about it and it was not until the third night of our 4 day stay did they finally get it fixed? Avoid this hotel at all cost

Rooms were clean, updated. Walkable to town (Great Basin is just a block away!). Christine at check in was very friendly and made check in fast and easy. Heater in room was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

When we first arrived we were told to pick up the key from a sister property. I got the key, opened the door and found someone else’s belongings. I was confused and as I just walked out the door and locked it, an elderly couple yelled at me asking me why I was lurking around their room. I showed them the envelope for the key and we were both confounded. Contacted the property manager and she was very apologetic about the incident, explaining that I had the master key and my room was double booked. Eventually we got a different room to stay for the night. Stephanie was polite and helpful despite the incident.

It started when we got an email saying that we would need to check into another property and not at the hotel we were staying at. So we went to the other property and there was no one there, just a hand written note to call someone. So we did and checked into the other hotel. There was a car that looked like someone was living in, and a family checking out. We went to our hotel and there was no one there at all. No one else was staying in the hotel. Then we see the car had followed us to this location, he apparently was the handy man. The room did not even have a privacy lock and could be entered with just a key. I found no information about wifi and so we called to get it, literally no one knew what the passcode was. At that point we left and found another place to stay.

Ok for 100 bucjs but would not stay again because of inconvenience of checkin at alternate lovation and nobstaff onsite to answer questions

Quaint, rustic, and campy. And very clean and affordable. Friendly staff. They do spread themselves a little thin covering two different motels at the same time, but they were really nice. I walked over to the Main Street in a few min. I liked the location, but some might not like the neighborhood. Will definitely stay again.

Barking dogs kenneled at property that backed up to my room. Kind of a dicey low end area of town.

The location was nice and convenient. Neighboring guests were noisy as well as from the trailer park across the street. The lock for the bathroom window was broken making unsafe since the size of the opening would allow anyone to break in and fit through it. The remote for tv did not work.
