Food lovely, in keeping with it being a restaurant with rooms not an hotel. Other than restaurant the facilities are limited. Staff friendly and helpful. Walk to town centre is up a steep hill so not for those with mobility issues.

This premise is not suitable for disabled people or those with reduced mobility. Entry to property is via steps and up a steep gradient from the carpark. Internally is no no lift & all guestrooms are on the first & second floors. This premise is more a restaurant with Rooms with no staff on site when the restaurant closes around 9:30 pm

The hotel is situated a short walk outside of Ludlow, about 10 minutes walk from the castle and over a stone bridge. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. My room had a view of the castle. A good breakfast was included in the price. The hotel has a bar which was open in the afternoon. There was no lift in the hotel, which is a problem with heavy luggage as I was on the 2nd floor.

Huge rooms ! Bath with shower over.2 chairs or sofa.Massive bed. Stairs up to 1st and 2nd floor are steep. No lift.only 12 bedrooms. Plenty of parking .Breakfast is excellent! Very clean great service. Short walk to castle but very steep!

We booked very last minute for the food festival, it was priced very favourably considering it was a peak time. We thought the property was value for money, our room was as described, bit small but adequate. It had everything we needed inc. tea and coffee making facilities and lovely biscuits. Shower was good with touketries supplied. We had a problem with our toilet flush but this was sorted whilst we were out for the today so mo inconvenience to us. The building is old but fairly well maintained. Seating in the bar area is a little sparse which put us offnhavijg drinks as a group before we left to go out for dinner. I think this is by design as the property is described as a restaurant with rooms, however, personally I think a trick is being missed here as it could attract more people to remain in and dine. Overall a pleasant stay and we would return

The hotel provided excellent accommodation and service, and the restaurant was exceptional. There were no grounds to sit out in but the weather wasn’t conducive to sitting out. There were public places nearby. It was within easy walking distance of central Ludlow but was still in a quiet location.

Are stay was very good and the breakfast was amazing. But unfortunately we had no hot water at all during our stay which couldnt be sorted which has to be a bad comment as no showers could be had or even a proper wash

Room in need of refurbishment. Tatty painted walls. Heating turned off overnight - paper thin walls (conversations of other guests could be heard through walls). Bedding had old stains. Shower so small - hard to shower properly.

Room was spacious and had everything you needed. Spotlessly clean, the bathroom was really lovely. Only gripes were pillows could have been better and the duvet cover had a large tear along the seam.

The Cliffe is situated just outside Ludlow town centre. It's a short walk in but be aware that there is a bit of a steep hill. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable with everything required for a pleasant overnight stay. We found all staff friendly and approachable. Full cooked breakfast in the morning was very tasty. Would recommend.

We have stayed twice now at The Cliffe in order to break long journeys down south. The public areas are nice and the bedrooms and huge beds are fine, but the bathrooms in our rooms we’ve been in were small and fairly old. We were surprised that the last orders for dinner were at 7.45 but we got fed! It’s quite a long inclined walk up into the town itself but the quiet location and castle view are worth it.

Lovely hotel. 15 minute walk from centre of Ludlow, but be warned you have to go up a fairly steep hill to get there. Also the roads are very dark in the evening, but they’re quiet and safe so you only need to make sure you have a torch. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Views from windows were lovely. Breakfast really good. Only issue in the hotel was water pressure in the en suite was very low in the morning, probably when others were using their showers etc. while washing my hair the water dwindled to absolutely nothing, which wasn’t exactly convenient! Staff said they’ve never been told this before (we were in room 5) and checked the water pressure, even asking their plumber to look at it. All said it was fine, presumably when no one else was using their bathrooms. Well, I’m sorry but it wasn’t fine and it happened on 2 of the days we were in the room. Fortunately there was an alternative room, which they offered to us and we moved into. No problems in that room. Otherwise a great stay.

Staff and room good we stayed in room 4 which had outside our window noisy extractor and smells from kitchen but stopped at about 9 o'clock at night and started at 7am in morning so had to keep windows closed, breakfast was very nice 👍

Hotel was great value for money, rooms where clean and well appointed. We had views out over the countryside, which was lovely. Breakfasts were delicious and it was table service. We ate in the restaurant the food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Cliffe was just outside of Ludlow but only a very pleasant (with slight incline) 10 - 15 minute walk into a beautiful interesting town.

Fantastic hotel in a very peaceful setting with great views of Ludlow castle and the gorgeous countryside. Had a beautiful room with views of the castle. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in the dining room with beautiful countryside views. Ludlow town is within easy reach on foot, crossing over the river before climbing the hill alongside the castle. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean , but wouldn't class it as a deluxe room which is what we booked, window in the bedroom had quite a big gap so had a breeze coming through thanks to storm Darragh, so had to block it with tissues,(didn't report this to staff ), but the breeze was noticeably, so the housekeeping staff would have noticed this, all the staff we came across were friendly and polite. Breakfast was hot and lovely. The hotel was about 10-15 min walk into Ludlow centre, it was very dark at night but felt quite safe.

Was told after checking in the restaurant was not available this evening as it was fully booked , after going down in the evening there was only around 20 people in there ? I had been driving all day and wanted to sit down in the hotel restaurant they should have mentioned this when booking .

Good service, but overall very impersonal. Not once was there any interaction except basic necessities. Excellent dinner. Breakfast was good but portions very small. One slice of toast each and not asked if we wanted more or refills of tea and coffee.

Loved my stay. Only thing is check out is at 10am not 11am as it said when i booked. I spoke to staff and they said it's a problem they've had in the past and are trying to get it sorted as their website says 10am.

The public areas are nice and the bedrooms and huge beds are fine, but the bathrooms in our rooms we’ve been in were small and fairly old. We were surprised that the last orders for dinner were at 7.45 but we got fed! It’s quite a long inclined walk up into the town itself but the quiet location and castle view are worth it.

Lovely hotel. 15 minute walk from centre of Ludlow, but be warned you have to go up a fairly steep hill to get there. Also the roads are very dark in the evening, but they’re quiet and safe so you only need to make sure you have a torch. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Views from windows were lovely. Breakfast really good. Only issue in the hotel was water pressure in the en suite was very low in the morning, probably when others were using their showers etc. while washing my hair the water dwindled to absolutely nothing, which wasn’t exactly convenient! Staff said they’ve never been told this before (we were in room 5) and checked the water pressure, even asking their plumber to look at it. All said it was fine, presumably when no one else was using their bathrooms. Well, I’m sorry but it wasn’t fine and it happened on 2 of the days we were in the room. Fortunately there was an alternative room, which they offered to us and we moved into. No problems in that room. Otherwise a great stay.

This premise is not suitable for disabled people or those with reduced mobility. Entry to property is via steps and up a steep gradient from the carpark. Internally is no no lift & all guestrooms are on the first & second floors. This premise is more a restaurant with Rooms with no staff on site when the restaurant closes around 9:30 pm

The Cliffe is situated just outside Ludlow town centre. It's a short walk in but be aware that there is a bit of a steep hill. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable with everything required for a pleasant overnight stay. We found all staff friendly and approachable. Full cooked breakfast in the morning was very tasty. Would recommend.

Fantastic hotel in a very peaceful setting with great views of Ludlow castle and the gorgeous countryside. Had a beautiful room with views of the castle. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in the dining room with beautiful countryside views. Ludlow town is within easy reach on foot, crossing over the river before climbing the hill alongside the castle. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel.

Huge rooms ! Bath with shower over.2 chairs or sofa.Massive bed. Stairs up to 1st and 2nd floor are steep. No lift.only 12 bedrooms. Plenty of parking .Breakfast is excellent! Very clean great service. Short walk to castle but very steep!

Was told after checking in the restaurant was not available this evening as it was fully booked , after going down in the evening there was only around 20 people in there ? I had been driving all day and wanted to sit down in the hotel restaurant they should have mentioned this when booking .

Nice room .tidy. limited welcome facilities eg coffee. Bath items. Situated in a nice setting with good parking and a short if hilly walk to town. After reading some previous reviews I was unsure re booking the eve meal. But am pleased to report it was Excellent. Staff attentive and food served timely. Have to apologise. Without my glasses I now realise l left gratuities in pence as opposed to pounds.!hate those machines!! no reflection on staff ,they were attntive and welcoming

The hotel room was clean beds were not the best we have slept in uncomfortable but the biggest gripe was the cost of the food and bar prices were very expensive the steaks were very poor which we sent back the worst Rib-Eye steak I’ve have ever had put in front of me which there was no way we were going to pay £28 each for on the plus side it was very quiet and clean
