Days Inn by Wyndham Independence

It was right on the interstate so very noisy, the pool was under maintenace and it didn't say anywhere so when we pulled in and it was covered it was a disappointment. Then for breakfast we were told it went until 10, showed up at 9:15 and he said breakfast was over. I explained that we were told ten, but that was the main reason we picked there because my daughter was at nationals and wanted waffles for breakfast could he please plug it in, I didn't even need breakfast but I prefered she did so we wouldn't have to drive around and he said NO, that the MIX was already AWAY. Please don NOT stay here. Ther service is absolutely pitiful.

There was a storm that came through just before we checked in and part of the hotel was without power. I had 2 rooms reserved, and one had power and the other 1 didn't. When I went to the front desk to ask to get 2 rooms with power. I was given some attitude, saying he didn't know which ones were which so I asked him to go check and he begrudgingly did. My new room had no ac and it was almost a 100° outside, with 80% humidity. I finally decided to just share the room that my ex-husband got so I ended up sleeping several feet away from my ex-husband because my room was unusable due to the heat. We were not offered any way to rectify the situation. And when we asked if we could cancel one room, we were told no. The room we did share was dirty. I have pictures of a dirty floss pick on the floor the sink was dirty. The bathroom only had one hinge on the door so the door didn't work properly and the light in there was out. To add to the irritation, the pool was not working, which is the one amenity that I looked for so my 11-year-old could swim on our trip. There wasn't even coffee at breakfast! Everything was subpar. I will say, the beds were comfy and seemed to be clean, but who knows? $130 to sleep 2 feet away from my ex-husband in a dirty room in a rough, rowdy area. I am disappointed and will not be returning.

Staff was very rude and definitely don't have the customer at the top of their priorities list. Parking space is very limited so bigger vehicles and trailers aren't easy to fit in the spaces or in the available space. They informed me after check in that they were out of shampoo and soap until their truck came in which was the following week. And it said they have a pool but it is no longer there. Staff definitely needs training for customer service skills because they have none. Everything was clean tho.

Not a good stay. Felt like this was shoehorned between interstate and industrial complex. Pool was not open and able to be used, which was a huge bummer for my daughters. Breakfast “buffet” consisted of 3 available muffins (total), yogurt, 2 types of cereal, white bread for toast, and a waffle iron, but no actual batter. I will be contacting to ask for a refund.

Nothing left after 1st half hour booked somewhere scary situation people working on cars hanging around outside rooms. Look like a migrant shelter home very disappointed pool was covered One red flag when you check in something like 20 security screens all around property Never again.... I didn't even get refunded I think i 1maybe calling state representative to check and see whats going on here looks like nothing but illegal migrants

Booked this hotel because of ratings and a pool. Pool wasn't open and the lobby and outside of the entire hotel was dirty and dingy. Rooms seemed to be fairly new and decent. Upon check in was required to give a deposit and was not informed prior to check in (next location didn't require one). Didn't even try breakfast since the lobby breakfast area seemed dirty. Would not recommend staying here and will not stay here in the future.

Well first of all the Hotel room was dirty, broken light fixtures, the tv remote didnot work for the tv,had to change channels on the tv.And for threebdays there was trash piled up outside my hotel room in and all around the dumpster piled high up and no parking in front of my room for someone else was parked in the parking spot in front of the room I was assigned to. And I did not feel safe in the hotel due to the things that I noticed going on all around the hotel will not stay there again or recommend to any of my family or friends. For what I paid for my room and the service I got no clean towels, room not cleaned Very unhappy and also I was misled by the fact that the pool was open then I find out it's closed in the summer time really who does that. Very unhappy.

I picked this hotel because of its proximity to Arrowhead. Getting to, and from the stadium was pretty simple However, the room was very basic and the floor needed to be mopped. Their coin op washer and dryer was broken down for the three days we were there. The neighborhood is good. There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, etc. the staff was friendly, no complaints there.

Water in shower was lukewarm. No soap or other amenities. The microwave was not operating properly. There was not enough bath towels and the floors were "sticky". They did, however have a good channel selection.

There's really nothing to like about this place aside from the fact that it's 8 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium. The floors were filthy. The locks on the door were broken. The one bed had a mattress that was caved in. (The other bed was ok) Dead cockroaches on the floor. Black mold around the bathtub.

The room was so dirty. The fridge was filled with this red juice, no tissue , no toilet paper, and the front desk said, just don’t use the fridge.

Floor was sticky and saw a cockroach crawling on surface where TV stands.

Neighborhood is horrible. Homeless and drug addicts walking around. Staff was very unprofessional. Room was dirty with cockroaches in the bathroom.

The room was clean except for the floor. I walked around barefoot and my feet were black after. Otherwise the beds were comfy and the room nice and cool.

The room wasn’t very clean. The soap and shampoo were both empty. The bathroom exhaust fan made horrible noise and the light flickered. About every five minutes, the toilet would start running and squeals very loudly each time. The door guard clasp was broken. I had to pay a $50 security deposit upon arrival and there was a list in the room of items and their values. Problem was, most of the items in the list weren’t even there. The ironing board was missing. The in room coffee pot was missing,. Etc. This place is complete trash. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

This hotel was incredibly dirty, mattress and tv strewn in hallways. Walking in the room in white socks left them pitch black! So incredibly gross.

When we checked in our hotel room smelled so bad that our clothes smelled of it too. We had poop or blood stains on our sheets-they offered to give us new sheets we could put on ourselves- it was so gross and the smell was so bad we ended up just leaving and driving home that night at midnight. They refused to give us a refund- I would never recommend this place to anyone. there is no way this room was cleaned because they also left us with no toilet paper on the roll

Terrible experience, filthy, had to go to the hotel next door to check in. Will not be back

Room was a bit small, but clean and. Bathroom was tiny. Wasn't bothered by anyone.

Room itself was not bad.... staff did not read request for lower level room (sent from Expedia )... they were able to accommodate, but ... Area around the hotel showed lack of picking up.... Internet was terrible.... either would not connect or was super slow..... Came in for breakfast.... no milk for cereal.... no hot water for oatmeal .... and no-one at the desk..... Staff shows a lack of commitment/concern.... Likely will not stay there again.

Its a good location but it seems old and run down there are tell tale signs of a fire, plus it just seems a little sketchy.

Very close to the inter state hwy is good, but too much noice and sound from moving vehicles was troubling.

TV did not work! Awesome front desk lady!

When entering the room we discovered a crack down the entire length of the mirror, the smoke alarm was hanging out of the wall and there was black hair on what should have been a clean towel in the bathroom. Also, there were no toiletries in the room. When trying to take a shower in the morning, i ran the water for 10 minutes while still getting no hot water. I called the front desk and they said try running it for another 5-10 minutes. I need to run the shower for 20 minutes before i can have hot water? RIDICULOUS! 0 OUT OF 10!

Property faces a major Interstate highway.

Do not stay at this motel! They charged my card twice and told me it declined so now I'm having to file a dispute with my card company. Their Wi-Fi doesn't work they don't have working TVs in their room the hot water doesn't work they do not have coffee makers in the room as stated. The staff is extremely rude and hostile. They tried to keep my boyfriend's deposit over a blood stain on a pillowcase from an injury he received trying to help the manager move the TV stand. It was small and dirty and just an overall headache. Save yourself the trouble and do not stay at this Motel.

Friendly easy check in

Front desk staff was amazing

We arrived late from out of town and had the room booked Friday through Monday. The front desk. Gentleman, who also happened to be the manager and owner of this place, gave our room away and so we had no place to stay into the next the next afternoon after 3, when we had paid for it in advance for 4 days. I wouldn't advise anybody. He is also racist. Call me an ignorant white woman. And told me to get off. His property refused to provide his name when I asked call hotels.com. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. Pay a little bit more and get a lot nicer service not worth your time unless you want to sleep in your car for 8 hours until you can check into another hotel at 3 PM the next day.

They ask for $50 deposit and in the room they have a plaque that lists the cost of anything you take or damage. But some of those things were missing from our room already. The bathroom was dirty and had bugs in it. The attendant just apologized for everything but didn’t offer to do anything about it. There was really no food for breakfast and the coffee was undrinkable. I would not recommend this motel unless you don’t have a choice.

Be sure yoi bring a deposit as it is not mentioned on the website. And if you dont be prepared to not get your refund. Alex is a bum.

Stay went smoothly with no issues. Check in and check out we’re easy and quick which I truly appreciated. Staff were also very nice and helpful.

I didn't enjoy my stay so much it was late when I got there to check in and first there was a paper on the door saying go to the office on the hotel that was in the front so once I got in there the clerk said he had to call Expedia to verify I paid already after I showed him my itenirary and receipt so after that I get a room that the key wouldn't open and so I had to walk back to the office of the other hotel to tell him that my key didn't work he rekeyed it And it still didn't work so he came up there tried his master key it didn't work so he put me in a different room.

the bathroom door in my room was broken and so was the television-- i requested at least the TV be fixed (they said it was as simple as unplugging/replugging) and it was NOT. they put me in a smoking room when i requested s NON smoking room as they said NOTHING else was available at check in, knowing of my reservation ahead of time. Staff was NOT available for any emergencies, needs or concerns although they said they would be. Overall, would NOT RECOMMEND until they get proper/adequate staffing (across the board) and remodel or fix their rooms.

Not a good experience. Had to wait a while for checking in even after 3 pm. Breakfast was not served even after 6 am although advertised for 6 am start.

There was no body soap in shower. Tub was slippery. There was no room available at check in. Staff gave us another room after 30 minutes. Breakfast was awful. Juice machine was out of order, coffee wasn’t available without asking. Breakfast area was not well maintained. We will not stay there again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable enough. The complementary breakfast was a joke! The first morning choices were waffle, yogurt, cold stale cereal, and a couple slices of bread. And we there a little after seven. Monday was worse. No waffle batter, no bread, no hot water for instant oatmeal. Again we were there about seven in morning. Either offer what you advertise or cut it out completely!

The staff was helpful checking in. I got charged to check in early and I’ve never experienced that. They also acted like they couldn’t find my reservation at first. I had to pay a deposit, which was also a first. Usually they just hold your card info incase they need to use it for incidentals so hopefully it doesn’t take too long to credit back. Breakfast was slim pickings and their juice machine was down. Our friends stayed and got put in a smoking room for some reason and got told they’d be charged $10 to switch rooms, luckily they talked themselves out of that. Lobby was closed at 11:30, so we couldn’t go use to ATM to get cash for their vending machine. Overall, for the price of the hotel it was a fine stay.

I'd stay here again when traveling alone. I'd take my family somewhere nicer (indoor pool, especially). The so called breakfast was pathetic: a couple of muffins and bread to toast. Lame.

There was a trash cart outside the laundry room, which was overflowing. At first I thought that it was housekeeping's cart, but it was still there the second day. When we first entered our room, there was an overwhelming smell of bleach! We left the door open for fresh air, which helped. Also, the bathroom door couldn't close completely. Breakfast was extremely limited! Glad we brought something with us.

Room was clean The representative said sh tried calling and left me a voicemail which never happened and put a bad taste in my mouth. They canceled my room but got another. As for as breakfast I went down to the ate at 6:40 am and door was locked. She opened it and said 29 minutes for coffee. Was supposed to be open at 6 so not very good
