For a 1-night stay this hotel had everything we needed. Central location, easy parking, a spacious room with a comfy bed (and the added bonus of a sea view) and a tasty breakfast in the morning. My wife and I visit Torquay a few times and have stayed in most of the hotels in this price bracket - the Heritage has to be one of the best yet.

Parking Feb -ltd size and ltd accessibility.I imagine it being a nightmare spring/summer. Rm10 - 1) Woke freezing in night due to broken Radiator.Donned running tights, 2 tops, hoodie and duvet from 2nd bed..Apparently fixed in the morning but only subsequently felt hot for aprox 1hr. Came back to very cold rm mid afternoon.-rm rad cold, bathrm rad warm. Told by manager due to heating timer.I queried rad discrepancy, promised heater. Returned in night , freezing rm, no heater. Heater finally supplied. 2) V. noisy , Seemingly v, amplified/loud creaking overhead footfalls woke me 1st night. Mild Coughing from another rm actually sounded as though in mine. 3)Decent sea view PROS - location, good wi fi , excellent staff and breakfast, lovely bay viewing conservatory. Pool - v big in splashing/playing around terms but too small for swimming. I used Derwent TLH ,5 mins walk, for laps

Walls of room were so thin you could hear everything from surrounding rooms. Pool is in a badly dated and damaged state. Pool availability very limited. Breakfast options limited. Parking spaces very small. Hotel admin slack, they took my payment twice. Felt like a pub not a hotel.

was very disappointed that the sauna is now a storage cupboard, the jacuzzi hasn't had water in it for 10 years, there is no gym. the very small pool was only available for use 2 hours a day - one hour in morning during breakfast time and one hour in evening. there was a charge as well, but when we advised our dissatisfaction there was no mention of being charged. no view in the room, just outlooks onto the road, in the room there was dirty towels, cups and spoons. location and staff were good, although obviously they were new and still learning the ropes. breakfast was ok, but I'm used to a lot more choice and there was not a piece of fruit to be seen. car park was always brimming full

Most of the staff were pleasant and welcoming, a couple of them need to smile and acknowledge their guests instead of ignoring them. Food was good , Appbeys the pub section of the hotel is noisy on a weekend. The rooms are adequate unfortunately the beds are 4ft 6" not 5ft so a bit of a squeeze if you're used to a kinsize , no air-conditioning so it gets a bit stuffy and hot, a fridge and a safe would be a good idea, the lift isn't working and we were informed it hasn't been for 3 year's. Photos of the hotel need updating on their website as they don't show a large apartment block covering two thirds of the beach view now, although the hotel is in a great location, carpark gets very busy, so if no room you have to go to the pay & display carpark next to the hotel . Having said this we would go back as we enjoyed our stay there and it was reasonably good value for money.

Really cute place, nice staff, could have been cleaner. Sheets were clean, but if you look with close eye, teapot could have used a wash, corners and nooks and crannies not sparkling. I would stay there again. Loved the view and the bed was comfortable.

The view was great, and the hotel was generally clean and friendly , breakfast was great with a lovely selection I asked for a room on the floor level with the ebntrance and bar etc because of my mobility problems, but I was given one down stairs, the constant using the stairs in and outside was painful and wearing, lots more f guests were not good with mobility so I think at least one grab rail in the showers would be advisable, I felt quite unsteady

A splendid looking building. The room I was in was overlooking the parking area. It had a view unless a tall vehicle parked in the space in front of the windows. A comfortable room but noisy. There didn't seem to be much sound insulation between rooms. I could hear phone conversations, music and rowdy children being entertained. The room did smell a little - not sure what it was but it smelled a little unpleasant. After the first day I no longer noticed it. If I stayed there again I would ask for a different room and hope it was better. The onsite restaurant food was quite good. I enjoyed the daily included breakfast. A small set of choices, though.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was sooooo hot due to all glass fronted room which had been in direct sunlight all day with the curtains open. Asked for another room which was provided without fuss. 5 min walk (max) to beach & bars, harbour & marina about 10 mins away.

Amazing hotel , some mould on ceiling above shower but shower had amazing pressure Cleaners left my door unlocked after cleaning which I was a bit disappointed by

The view was great, and the hotel was generally clean and friendly , breakfast was great with a lovely selection I asked for a room on the floor level with the ebntrance and bar etc because of my mobility problems, but I was given one down stairs, the constant using the stairs in and outside was painful and wearing, lots more f guests were not good with mobility so I think at least one grab rail in the showers would be advisable, I felt quite unsteady

Check in was quick and easy. Room was sooooo hot due to all glass fronted room which had been in direct sunlight all day with the curtains open. Asked for another room which was provided without fuss. 5 min walk (max) to beach & bars, harbour & marina about 10 mins away.

For a 1-night stay this hotel had everything we needed. Central location, easy parking, a spacious room with a comfy bed (and the added bonus of a sea view) and a tasty breakfast in the morning. My wife and I visit Torquay a few times and have stayed in most of the hotels in this price bracket - the Heritage has to be one of the best yet.

My room requires refurbishment and the car park is a bit difficult to park in when nearly full. Other than that the staff were good, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is well placed for both scenic walks and walks into Torquay.

Good location. Staff helpful. No chef except for breakfast. This was very inconvenient. Had to book breakfast times in advance. Didn't use the pool as times were very limited. Lift not working. Requested room close to elderly parent but were on different floors. We chose this hotel for the location but also the pool and the restaurant, feel very let down. Was quite stressful having to eat out every lunchtime and evening, especially as our mother has limited mobility.

A splendid looking building. The room I was in was overlooking the parking area. It had a view unless a tall vehicle parked in the space in front of the windows. A comfortable room but noisy. There didn't seem to be much sound insulation between rooms. I could hear phone conversations, music and rowdy children being entertained. The room did smell a little - not sure what it was but it smelled a little unpleasant. After the first day I no longer noticed it. If I stayed there again I would ask for a different room and hope it was better. The onsite restaurant food was quite good. I enjoyed the daily included breakfast. A small set of choices, though.

was very disappointed that the sauna is now a storage cupboard, the jacuzzi hasn't had water in it for 10 years, there is no gym. the very small pool was only available for use 2 hours a day - one hour in morning during breakfast time and one hour in evening. there was a charge as well, but when we advised our dissatisfaction there was no mention of being charged. no view in the room, just outlooks onto the road, in the room there was dirty towels, cups and spoons. location and staff were good, although obviously they were new and still learning the ropes. breakfast was ok, but I'm used to a lot more choice and there was not a piece of fruit to be seen. car park was always brimming full
