Comstock Inn & Conference Center

They had a pool, exercise room and arcades - gaming area. The restaurant and bar were great didn't have to drive anywhere.

Nice pool area although a hot tub would have been great. Restaurant in the hotel was ok. Hallways on the 3rd floor were uncomfortably heated (in March). It had to be 80 degrees up there.

Has a great pool

This property has been spruced up just a bit since our last visit. The lobby seems to have been refreshed and the room seemed been better shape than last time we were here. Swimming pool is nice.

My only complaint is there were icebergs in the pool.

Everyone was friendly, the room was clean. It was quiet. We got to enjoy the heated pool. All around a grest stay!

Stayed 3 nights, the first day we noticed that the phone in the room didn't work so we brought it to their attention and they said that they would fix it but never did, the second day we had to ask a cleaning lady for soap for our room... the elevator made a lot of noise and jurked, made us nervous... the staff was very friendly...

Hotel was very nice! Some small things that could be improved is the temperature in the pool cause it’s say heated but wasn’t very warm. The other thing I would say needs improvement is the towels in the room for showering. They were very small & had to use 2 to dry off. One thing that was awesome is having a nice view of the Polar Express train moving around

Hotel was in a quiet area, had an indoor pool and restaurant.

The property is clean, and the staff was professional and kind.

The hotel loby was great the room not so much it was small cramped and the tub was gross.

The room was very clean as was the pool. What stood out the most was the young lady at the front desk. I have a great-granddaughter who very, very active. The desk clerk was EXTREMELY kind and patient with Renley. She restores faith in mankind for sure.

Enjoy location, close to where we were going and to restaurants etc. Price is good. Pool area floor is very dangerous for everyone, once that tile gets wet it’s very slippery, seen two children fall while heading to the pool. Bathroom could be cleaned better around sink and toilet.

The property/room looks very tired. The bathroom had mold in the toilet, the bathtub/shower had mold and needed recaulking, and there was hair on the floors. Not well-cleaned.

The premises was a run down. Desks wobbled, desk chairs did not work, black caulking was coming out of the sink bowls, Towels were thin, bedding was good, elevator had unknown liquid running down the walls, not enough light in the rooms. No TV instructions/guides. Had surgery in the nearby hospital and clean sheets were provided after my surgery. Continental breakfast was touted on web site...it was not available. Vending machines were not tended. No menu information in rooms

The room was spotless. The staff at front desk was very courteous. They allowed me to check in a little early. Only two things that I could find with my room: the mattress was too soft, and there were no hooks in the bathroom.

Decent hotel. Room was clean, so was the pool.

Beds were clean, bathroom was clean, the floor was not. I took my shoes off walked around the room. The bottom of me feet were so dirty afterwards. It grossed me out.

Lobby and front desk were clean & inviting. Room was clean, but the bed comforter was dingy & stained.

The staff was very pleasant. It is an older hotel but the bed was very comfortable and a decent size room. The only strange thing was the window looked out into the lobby and directly into the rooms across the way so drapes were drawn. The bar (Tanglewoods?) was great the bartender Mindy was so personable we stayed for awhile because of her. Had a good time. We had a dinner on the train in town or we would have tried the food it looked like a good menu overall it was a nice room and fun place reasonably priced

The desk staff is available and works hard. The housekeeping staff was courteous, and obviously hard-working. The facility is old and feels old. The wi-fi worked. The TV channel changer did not. The toilet in the room I was assigned for two of my three nights rocked on its base. It was an adventure. "Maintenance" was not available until the day I checked out. If you like a bed you sink into, this is the place to stay. My request to change rooms was cheerfully granted the third day but I had to ask. The restaurant in the building was open Friday night, and the prime rib was excellent, but I never saw it open after that, certainly not for breakfast. The free coffee in the foyer was excellent and available around the clock. I've stayed in worse hotels and paid more. Overall, a 3/5 star rating.

The bed was to high to get into easily. Only one chair in the room and it kept sinking after I raised it up. The hot and cold selection on the sink is backwards. There were no Charging ports.

Beds were terribly uncomfortable. We had 2 rooms and my grown sons even tried sleeping on the floor. Need new mattresses!

The beds were the worst. I barely slept because they were so bad, the noise outside the place was terrible. I am 5'1 and I had to bend down for the shower head to wash my hair. Annoyed that I paid so much for this.

No access to streaming tv service like Netflix or to Bally Sports.

Inconsistent room temperature, view was terrible, a roof. Room showed signs of wear and tear, paint peeling near floors, towels you could practically see thru.

Staff was amazing. Heating in room was almost too good, no happy medium. But, once warmed up, it was pretty good for the night. Bartender Bree was THE BEST and she made a great drink too!! Great beds!!

The girls behind the counter are some of the best if not the best I have ever dealt with.

The room I got was very clean and comfortable. I had to extend my stay and the desk clerks were very helpful in taking care of this and keeping me in the same room. I will definitely stay here the next time I’m in the area.

I reserved two adjoining queen rooms a month in advance, but when my husband went inside to check in, the woman at the desk said she didn’t see that anywhere in the notes and she would have to charge us more to have adjoining rooms because they don’t have queen adjoining rooms. When I talked to the same woman 5 minutes later, I told her I had an email with the request for each room stating it needs to be adjoining. She said yes she seen that, but the Hotel didn't reserve it that way and there wasn’t anything she could do except move us to a king suite and charge us more for each room. I told her that was unacceptable we can’t have our kids in a separate room down the hall and we shouldn’t have to pay more for their mistake. In the end she let us have the adjoining king suite for the same price the first night, but we had to pay more for the second night. There wasn’t any breakfast being served, the restaurant doesn’t open until 2:00 pm Monday through Friday and isn’t open on Sunday. We stayed here previous to Covid and this was an acceptable hotel for the price, now the price is outrageous with poor customer service, no breakfast, and limited hours and days for the restaurant. I told the front desk upon leaving that we will not be returning to the Comstock Inn. My recommendation, save your money and book at the Curwood House in Owosso, which we have stayed at and is very nice, or The Pines motel in Owosso, which isn’t anything fancy but is nice, or stay in another town.

Overall, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. It looked like someone was in a hurry to clean. There were little pieces of paper on the floor and an old Chapstick under the heater. I’ve stayed here multiple times and usually the rooms are better. Check in was easy and the desk clerks are always very friendly.

Had them jumble up my dad and is reservation; and then I got billed twice he got billed 0 times. Confusion with rates; room had no natural light or real window. Staff was friendly but had more headaches then I should have

The hotel wasn’t bad. Our bed had a dirty foot print on it, our side table had a ton of dust and grime on the lamps. Room felt outdated, especially with the popcorn ceiling and multiple layers of paint on the wall. I was really turned off by the two marijuana dispensaries next to it and across the street. Unfortunately it was our only choice as we were in town for a softball tournament.

Close to train station for polar Express train

Property is located in downtown Owosso...a very well maintained and enjoyably walkable...attached bar/restaurant was nice...attended a concert almost next door at Lebowski Center...great venue.. .cafe at airport worth your consideration

The property was close to the theater where we were going, so convenient. No views except streets and just mediocre rooms, older furnishings.

Was clean & comfortable, middle of town so able to walk where we wanted to go. Restaurant & bar were nice & prices were average.

The stay was fast and furious! Very comfy however was disappointed that there wasn’t any breakfast available.

Everything is good love being able to eat there

Online it shows a continental breakfast. They do not offer free breakfast. It also claims on their website that you can have breakfast at the adjoining restaurant, which is not true. They are not open for breakfast.

The only complaint is the restaurant seemed to be understaffed. The employee was waitressing and bartending which led to a longer wait time.

Have been using this property for several years when visiting family. Price has gone way up but services cut back. For example, Was surprised at cost of a glass of wine being $9.00 when menu posts it as $8. No comment from staff when questioned. Breakfast was cut out a few years ago. Bar open minimally and not for breakfast. Unfortunately there are no other choices in downtown area

The beds were very soft on the edges that faced each other, obviously from people sitting on them all the time. All the reviews said that the hotel restaurant was very good. We decided to eat for one night. It was horrible. I ordered fish and chips which everyone raved about it obviously was frozen way over cooked and the fish was tough and chewy. My wife wanted a side salad and a piece of salmon. The side salad is nothing more than a handful of lettuce out of a bag with a few carrot slices and the salmon was cooked beyond belief. Needless to say, we took a few bites paid our bill and went somewhere else. The hotel overall was good. I would say the restaurant is nothing more than low rate bar food.

This is an older hotel that has a monopoly on the area so prices are higher than they should be. Notes from Moro emu t to the pool furniture but pool itself needs repairs. Stains on bottom of pool need ate too. Used to have a breakfast available but no longer. Beds are very comfy but bathrooms are tired! Our toilet n/shower had been ne temperature and no tub spigot. Had to fill tub with shower head which was too light to even begin to fill. Overall a 3-star at best
