Really cool former ski Lodge. Has a great public room with couches and fireplace. We had a 2-room suite which was HUGE with 2 full bathrooms and a kitchen. Property and room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts were friendly and involved. They even walk you to your room! We'd love to return sometime in the future!

Let me start that this appears to be an old ski lodge turned into an Inn. This is the place if you are looking for a quiet place, out in the woods, without AC (unless you pay $20/day for a portable AC unit that you stick the vent pipe outside through a hole in a plywood panel). The explanation (in writing) for the $20 charge was due to high electric rates. Perhaps they need to come up with a different excuse because even a conservative power calculation of this portable unit would be around $2.58 per day of electricity. Hotels.com showed this place was only 15 miles from Gorham,NH.. This may be true but we were not flying a helicopter. We were traveling by car and it was a 42 mile drive taking over an hour because of all the back roads. So the accuracy of the “distance from” calculations on Hotels.com site should not be believed. So, back to the facility… The staff member at check in was not very nice and dismissive. In her defense she was the only staff there and was cleaning rooms and checking in people. That is again due to the remoteness of this place. Condition of room was ok but very dated, washer/drier in the basement worked poorly. Game room was ok as was a central atrium. So, I personally would not stay here again or recommend it.

Stayed at a Villa with 3 bedrooms, it’s nice the receptionist was helpful plenty of room we were 7 and we all had a place to sleep. How ever the furniture is old they got small TV with wires everywhere a portable ac unit and it could be cleaner and take the spiders web out, the whole place needs updating into the 21st century.

Traveled with another couple. We rented two rooms. Both rooms had holes in the queen bedsheets. Ours were also stained with what appeared to be blood and a brown streak. We didn’t use the other areas of the hotel.

Our stay was truly wonderful! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire property was always well maintained and spotless. It’s such a peaceful and quiet place—perfect for relaxing. The drive to the Inn and the surrounding scenery were absolutely beautiful, adding to the whole experience. While the place isn’t the most modern, it has a charming, cozy, home-like feeling that makes it special. We will definitely be coming back!

Definitely make arrangements for food before arrival, whether grocery shopping or take out. This beautiful Inn is nestled far away from hustle and noise. All you are surrounded by is nature and beauty. Rooms are a bit dusty but comfortable. The staff are very accommodating and kind. We enjoyed our stay here.

Charming mountain setting in the woods. A little more spartan than I was expecting - there was no A/C and the bedroom was up a tiny spiral staircase, which was not what I was expecting. The staff and owner were very friendly and nice though, so well worth the stay if you know what to expect. I think winter would be a much nicer time to visit.

The area is beautiful, the management is helpful and friendly. Our room had a little kitchen, which was nice, and a great view of the forest. However, the place was pretty busy during our stay and the people above us were making a lot of noise. There were couple of issues with the room amenities, but we only stayed 1 night so didn't feel like worrying about it, and I'm sure if we asked to fix them, the owners would. Overall a nice place to stay.

A gem in the middle of nowhere...amazing place!!! Hidden but amazing. Staff extremely friendly and the owners made a huge breakfast for everyone. Delicious cookies homemade to received us. We would like to stay few more days to explore the area but was just 1 night stop. We really love this place.

If you are looking to "get away from it all," this is the place for you! I was, and I enjoyed staying there. The facility has seen better days, but it was and everything in the room worked. Also, because it is so remote, you need to either bring all of your own food, or be prepared to drive at least 15 or 20 minutes to find even one of 2 restaurants.

No cell phone service so using GPS to navigate is impossible and it’s far out of the way with multiple twists and turns. Extremely difficult at night. Signage on main roads extremely poor and small. Over $250 fot this aging place is way high. Will not come back.

What a hidden gem! This place is definitely off the beaten path, but well worth the extra effort to reach it. This is Maine as it is meant to be experienced - serene, laid back, and surrounded by natural beauty. The staff, location, cleanliness, and surprises - like homemade Rice Krispie treats upon arrival - make this a can't be missed adventure!

There is no restaurant or snack or any place to eat also the bbq was not working to cook food... I had to wait until breakfast. They do serve muffin and donut but no proper breakfast But the receptionnist was adorable and helpful she even walked me to my room to make sure i found it easily
