I'm a courier and I had a 11pm delivery in the area and needed a room for the night. This place came in perfect for what I needed with parking for the van and came in at a very good price.

For the money, it’s top drawer 👍, clean room, comfy bed, good shower, decent WiFi, free parking, close to shops and town centre. Don’t be put off by the low rating reviews, if you expect 5 star luxury at 2 star prices then this won’t be for you, but it’s every bit as good as a travelodge, if not better

There was just a bath, no shower. The only window in the room was frosted glass. One of the two cups was sticky. Really tiny tv that you could hardly see to watch properly from the bed. Threadbare carpet on the stairs. Not enough parking spaces. I had to park in a residents pass only car space and hope I dont get fined

Booked for first time, everything is so basic its unreal, room was clean, 2 flights of stairs to get to room, as no lift available, carpet on stairs badly worn and ripped in parts. I booked this hotel as the location was convenient to where i needed to be and i assumed breakfast was included after i had read the reviews before we booked, i went down the first morning and enquired where i can get my breakfast and was told no breakfast just room there is no breakfast for anyone, so once again i had to travel in the mornings to go get breakfast, no help or guidance from the hotel on this matter. The lodge just seens to be used by work men day and night the noise is terrible outside rooms & inside corridors to rooms, we hardly got any sleep on any of the nights we stayed. We had to go and ask for toilet rolls as none where put into the room after the 1st day. Parking is very limited and its a lot of turning of cars, vans ect to try and get into the small lodge carpark, I have stayed in many places around the Uk & Ireland over the years but i have to say this rates as one of the very worst ever.

Location great for town and next to Morrisons. Road noise not an issue as the traffic eases at 8ish. Very quiet in night. Super safe private parking. Own entry to rooms at back. I'd stay again - great value.

It was clean and comfortable with good free parking close to town. Check in was delayed as no one on reception but five minutes after calling the owner arrived. notices about surcharges for checkout after 10.30am and cleaning etc a bit OTT as it happens we were all up and out on time. cleaning staff friendly and helpful. good value at £60 a twin room.

Parking was fine and appeared safe. Room was very basic but not expensive. The one member of staff that I saw was very pleasant and made light of my deafness. There was plenty of hot water for a bath. I have no complaints.

The staff were friendly and obliging. My room was clean and tea and coffee and toiletries were provided.

I enjoyed my stay at Premier Lodge Morpeth. The double room with en suite was clean & well presented. The Smart tv & free wifi was also pleasing. However the next time i stay at Premier Lodge Morpeth i will request room at rear of property to avoid noise from traffic ultimately.

Clean, simple room with working amenities! Good for a quick stay but wouldn’t stay linger than 1 night due to size of the room.

Avoid this hotel. Dirty, Loud and people trying your door during the night 3 times someone tried my door handle on my room to try get in my room. Guy on reception very strange. Just gave my friend his key but escorted me to my room and wouldn’t give me the key until he had opened the door.

I would not recommend this place as a hotel. Smelly dirty falling to bits

Beds were comfortable and the room clean however the shower leaked, silicon was black with mould, same round the toilet and the room smelled of smoke when we arrived.

The room was clean and tidy, but no mirrow in the room. The bathroom was not on suite. Everytime you wanted to use the bathroom u had to leave the room unlock the bathroom. Other than that it was fine.

It is a budget hotel, and I was a bit dubious after reading some reviews so I only booked one night. My room is clean, comfy bed, tea and coffee, usb charging on the plug sockets, good size bathroom with a shower with good water pressure. Good size tv with the iPlayer etc apps. For the price, it’s excellent…I’ve extended my stay for another 3 nights and will be back again next week. Plenty shops and places to eat close by, on-site free parking, I can only assume that the customers leaving bad reviews expect £200 a night luxury for a third of the price

It was very noisy almost all night, felt like sleep on the pavement. Only Wifi was good, overall not very pleasant experience

Larger room than expected, spacious and clean bathroom, fridge in room, tea and coffee with plenty of sachets of tea, coffee and milk.

Rooms beside road really need black out curtains, very light, no need to put a light on. Wi-Fi absolutely fine, turned radiator off on arrival, room still very warm (too warm) Room size and bathroom sizes adequate. No where do put soap and shampoo in the shower cubicle. Saying all this I would stay there again on condition I had a room away from Road or black out curtain fitted

Hotel room very spacious, with very comfy beds. Large shower room, with hot water available anytime. Had a problem with the shower, but the reception sorted this immediately, so very happy with the service. Only downside, and this was NOT the fault of the hotel, was that the smell from the drains in the road came into the room. It was just off Morpeth town centre and ideally situated for everything. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately receptionist wasn't available to check in for at least 15 minutes. The room smelt of cigarettes, wasn't clean and I've woken up with bite's on my body 😕 ? Bed bugs. No breakfast facilities onsite. The rooms are not sound proof so unfortunately you can here everybody's discussion in the next rooms. For the money it wasn't cost effective. The whole room needs an upgrade, mattresses, decor, bathroom and most definitely a cleaner. Location is good though,

The room given to us should really have been out of order. The tiles around the shower on the floor were broken and kept together with a black tape. Had a shower and the water leak through the cracks. Smoke alarms in the middle of the night, it's the kettle they say. No it's not people coming in and out of the property and their cars there with a cigarette and a drink on hand. Won't go back again. Friendly reception staff, not much he could do.

This is a hotel that has No Human touch. Be very careful with their state of the art license plate camera system.

Really not great from the moment we got there. Receptionist asked us what room we were staying in...not sure how she expected us to know the answer to that question. She then phoned someone and proceeded to talk to them for details (not us) and ushered us to our room without waiting or explaining. She did not really speak to us again so offered no further information and then gave us our key. It would have been helpful if she had mentioned the fact that the key has a fob on it to allow you to get back into the building late at night! We didn't find this out until we were locked out the following evening and had to press buttons randomly until someone appeared to let us in five minutes later. The room we stayed in (No 15) was extremely below par for the £60 per night charge that was levied. We had used a voucher to help pay for the room but all the same - very poor. Small room with bed pushed against side wall, mirror not attached properly to wall, glass shelf rusty and at a jaunty angle and poor, very small, shower. The lady that was cleaning the other rooms was very helpful and extremely pleasant, but we will not stay in this hotel again. Very disappointing considering it was a first trip to Morpeth (which is lovely) but an extremely poor choice of hotel.

stayed 5 nights and it was ok for what i paid, great location in a lovely town

It was only an overnight stay on the way to Scotland so it served a purpose…well situated in lovely Morpeth our only real issue was that it is quite threadbare and needs to be upgraded and given some TLC…fairly priced for what it was.

The location was excellent. Morpeth is a beautiful town and everything is within easy walking distance of the Premier Lodge. My only criticism is that the Lodge is a red brick building and looks nothing like the photo. Nothing wrong with it though.

Don't be put off by the slightly tatty outside, the rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the location couldn't be more convenient for the town centre. Good value for money, great for an overnight en route

There was no free breakfast as stated. They gave me £5 to compensate, however I chose that hotel for the convenience of a free breakfast. Not extremely clean, just basic

I was very pleased with standard of this hotel for the price. I have seen a lot of the negative reviews, some of which are totally unreasonable. One person has complained that there wasn't a hair dryer. Another that the TV is too small. Someone else was moaning about the old furniture. Honestly! Maybe some work has been carried out but nothing wrong with carpets or anything else for that matter. Internet speeds were excellent, there was a good supply of tea and coffee and, although there was no breakfast option, there was a Morrisons across the road which worked just fine. My room was on the road and traffic noise was minimal - did not trouble me at all. Some people expect the Hilton for budget prices. If I'm up this way again, will most certainly be staying here.
