Lovely and quiet but the car parking spaces were very small and tight. My own vehicle is small abd I struggled to get adequate parking especially the two parks closest to the street. I saw numerous customers with larger vehicles struggle to fit in the parks provided. Out of 10 or so parks only about 5 were of adequate size to accommodate SUV or utes. The rest were more appropriate for smaller vehicles.

The room was great and clean and tidy, but the parking facilities were something else. There really wasn't enough spaces and they were quite small

There were only 8 or 10 parking stalls for 3 floors of hotel rooms. We had to pay fir parking across the street with no apologies from the receptionist. No ice machines, small bathrooms with poor quality towels. Restaurant not open for breakfast.

No primeiro andar, o quarto era bastante barulhento, tanto do barulho da rua, quanto do banheiro do quarto ao lado, e dos demais hóspedes no corredor. A decoração e a limpeza estavam boas, mas a cama não era King como anunciado, eram 2 camas single unificadas. A TV não funcionou e o banheiro por ser adaptado para deficientes, ficava todo molhado desde a pia à privada, por conta do chuveiro. A equipe de atendimento é bem gentil, mas não estavam fisicamente no hotel, os 2 contatos que tivemos foram remotos. Inclusive no checkout de dia, o papel orientava a só deixar a chave na caixa. Had a 1 night stay there. Room was comfortable. Location is really good. Everything in the city is within a short walk. Parking on hotelsite costs 11$/day. Opposite of the hotel is a public car park for 5$/day.

When we arrived, we did initially find it difficult to park, but a space soon became available, it was street parking. The staff on check in was very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. There were plenty of places to eat round town.

A fairly basic hotel, but it did its job, and was well-located in the Napier CBD. On-site parking was limited; I had to park in the (pay) parking lot across the street

Hotellet ligger nära centrum med gångavstånd till stranden. Få restauranger i närheten. Kan vara knepigt med P-plats, vi kom tidigt och fick den sista lediga.

The location was just over the road from my conference venue, and the bed was comfortable. However there were some down sides: the bathroom shower head was quite caked with limescale - which did not inspire confidence that the rest of the rooms were also clean. The extractor unit in the bathroom could not be turned off and was generating a low thrum all night. Also the hotel has no laundry facilities, so if you need to do any washing you have to take your laundry three blocks to wash them at the nearest laundromat. (That is once you find out that their QR code compendium is out of date as to where the nearest laundromat is.)

Staff very helpful. Room very clean and location excellent.

This was a very last minute booking but everything about it was fantastic. There was free parking. The room was spotless and the aircon was on. The bed was super comfortable. I will definitely stay here again

We were thrilled that we had managed to secure a room at your hotel for Saturday night. The communication for the arrival was fantastic. Your welcoming staff were awesome & very professional. Location was perfect & then into the room which we were very pleased with. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable bed & sufficient amenities.

This hotel is in a great location, close to shops, the art deco area and good restaurants. Our room was spacious and well apportioned. We managed to secure a hotel parking space which was very useful. The hotel staff were very good and most helpful.

My hotel room was a bit tired and very dark the lighting needs to be improved.

Overall, I was very pleased with the property! It's basic, but clean, up-to-date, well-maintained and safe. My room was very spacious. The check-in is "remote" (the front desk is staffed for only a few hours each day), but the process was very simple - the hotel sent very clear instructions and provided a mobile # in case I ran into any problems (which I didn't). The property is close to a wide choice of restaurants and shops, about a 7 minute walk from the waterfront, and best of all (for me) ... about a 3 minute walk to the intercity bus stop. Highly recommended if you don't care about "luxury" and just want a safe, clean place to sleep.

Great place in central Napier, close to transport, variety of restaurants, supermarket, and beach. Only minor issue is that there is not a lot of sound proofing from outside noises so traffic noise does enter the room easily. But Napier is mostly a quiet town so this won't cause much of an issue for most of the night unless the street sweeper and rubbish truck comes by early which it did!.

We never were able to stay here, we booked but when arrived were told they were full and had no room for us. Hotels.com was great and helped us find a room at a partner hotel. However, the person at expressotel was rude and refused to help, telling us "we needed to go talk to their sister hotel for a room". When hotels.com tried to call, she refused to answer the phone as the lobby closed at 6pm. This conversation happened at 530pm when we arrived. By 540 she was packing her things, still refusing to help us figure it out. She left and closed the lobby at 545pm, turning out the lights, locking the front door, and walking out. Leaving us in the lobby so we had wifi to figure it out with hotels.com. The overall process to get another hotel took 1.5hours when she could have simply answered the phone when hotels.com reached out, instead treated us as it was our fault that the last room we booked was not available. Again, this review is not about hotels.com, but about the atrocious service provided by expressotel. We had a wonderful trip to New Zealand, everyone, and I mean everyone in the Country was great, except for this ONE individual who couldn\'t be bothered to do her job, or stay doing her job until it was time to close. Instead, she decided to leave her job early, and leave a customer to deal with the problem. Unbelievable.

After hour check-in was easy.

The stay was ok, apart from the toilet getting blocked in the morning before we left. No one was at reception to notify (because we left early). Also, i wouldve preferred a bin the the bathroom because i dont fancy mixing toilet rubbish with food rubbish. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay.

Check in was very frustrating as there is nobody at the desk. We showed up at 11 AM and had a tour set up for 11:30 AM and was very difficult to find somebody to even let us in the front door. Thankfully, there was cleaning stuff on site and they were able to open the door and at least let us put our luggage inside before our tour.

sehr gute Lage zu Restaurants, zu Kultur- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Sauberes, zweckmässig eingerichtetes Zimmer und Bad sowie gutes Bett. Wir haben (erst am letzten Tag) in der gegenüberliegenden Firestation gefrühstückt. Die Backwaren dort sind etwas vom Besten, das wir auf der Reise gefunden haben. Am Samstag ist zudem ein kleiner Markt im Park vor dem Hotel

Always greeted with a smile and always accomodating nice place to stay and close to amenities and restaurants

One of our party is an insulin dependant diabetic who was unable to freeze some ice bricks for the car trip from Napier to Wellington. Also no breakfast on site. The hotel is only a few blocks from the city centre which was quite convenient.
