They remodeled and everything looks good. Things were clean. The restaurant isn’t open yet and it’s winter so the pools weren’t either. The staff were all very nice. Great price.

Very clean! Renovated! Great beds! Too bad there is no elevator. No closet or hanging aparatis in the room. Continental breakfast good but must bring breakfast back to your room to eat. The coffee was GREAT! Too bad wi-fi wasn't working.

There was no breakfast as advertised on the website and based on others reviews. I went down and asked the front desk and she said”we don’t have breakfast, but I can throw something in the microwave for you”, I obviously declined and was super disappointed because it states that it’s a full breakfast. Also, there were several guests smoking cigarettes outside the door and inside their room, that is all you smelled the entire time. The pool is a joke too. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Pool and hot tub weren’t working because the heater is broken. Electrical outlets in our room were uncovered, no lock on the bathroom window and the bathroom door hinges were off so we had to lift the door to close it. Not at all as advertised, seems they may be renovating but far from done.

Rooms don’t get cleaned everyday. Pool was freezing cold. Breakfast was just the same everyday and not the healthiest. Staff was friendly, liked a sliding door instead of a window, and coffee was ok.

The staff were friendly, and the service was appropriate, and the room and sheets were clean. All the basics were fine. The surroundings were actually a little less satisfying than how I rated, but I understand that they are determinately busy with massive and promising restoration of all the buildings and grounds to the Yankee Clipper’s days of yore. The destroyed outdoor pool is a particular eyesore that could be immediately dealt with, hidden at least. I think it would be fair during their tumultuous period to lower their prices a bit. I would stay there again in the distant future.

Yankee Clipper has been around a long time. When you pull up, you think it's an old Inn. But, they are renovating. Our room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Big shower. Very nice. I'm not sure how far they are along with the reno. And the attached restaurant was closed. It said for lack of help. There is no elevator. So, if stairs are a problem, make sure to ask for a first floor room.

The entire experience at the Yankee clipper Inn was great. The only negative was the pool and Jacuzzi were out of service waiting to be repaired.

This is the first time we stayed here since it’s been renovated.l, and was hoping for a better experience. It was just me and my 8 year old. Check in was quick and easy. We weren’t too impressed with the rooms. The rug didn’t appear vacuumed, there were a couple clumps of hair stuck on the rug, which stuck to my foot. We had a fruit fly that we couldn’t get rid of both nights. It drove us crazy. The shower had hair and dried conditioner stuck to the tiles, and to top it off I had to get out of the shower while drenched to get hand soap because the body wash and hair conditioner were both empty in the shower. For the money I paid, I expected better. I really don’t like to find hair all over the floor and in the showers. Not sure if I’ll give it another chance.

Bed very comfortable, breakfast very good, front desk helpful. BUT - carpet was filthy from the entrance all across our room, the chair by the desk was broken. I had to ask the front desk about a hair dryer because I could not open the cabinet below the sink to find it. This was not the quality of a Best Western.

Under renovation, also think its also a haven for displaced persons. There are some pretty ugly sites visible and people that are questionable. Have to wonder if maybe needs new management? Bed was extremely comfortable, room was clean but internet was spotty, couldnt use wifi most of the time. Desk personal were very friendly and helpful.

No overhead or lights over bed for reading. Lighting in room overall was not good. No place to put your own soap in the shower except the floor. Although the room was clean, there was a funny smell in the place.

The room was nice and clean, easy check in and nice pool area only complaint is the walls are very thin you can hear eveything happening around you and ur neighbors… but I expected that. Everything else was very nice though!

Limited check-in times which was buried in the ad and not mentioned in the confirmation email. 5 different phone numbers and no one routinely answers, just a voicemail. One number was a fax number, not a phone number. The front desk attendant, who was nice, is barely at the front desk because she's doing the building maintenance and running the cleaning crew. The room door has no weather seal, and the building stars are dilaitated and broken. I expected a few issues as it's an independent motel, but not being able to check-in was the worse part.

Staff unavailable after 5pm, pool not open, went to bring out luggage out to the car and they was turned off so we couldn’t get back In the room! Housekeeping had to let us back in the room to get the rest of our stuff and it was before check out time!

Okay to stay a night or two if you’re exploring this beautiful state, but I find it a bit expensive for what it is. For just $36 more per day, you can book a Marriott. Unfortunately, the front desk doesn’t pay attention to requests. I needed room service because I ran out of bath towels and toilet paper. I left the room around 8:00 AM and came back around 11:00 PM, exhausted from driving all day. Well, surprise! No one had serviced my room—no towels, no toilet paper. I went to front desk and no one wasn't there, lights out, doors locked, no body around who can help!

The staff were very nice and even called ahead to accommodate a late night check-in after the front office had closed for the night. The room was clean and very comfortable with plenty of toiletries and linens. I would happily stay here again!

My only complaint was the check in time provided by expedia was incorrect. Make sure if you are checking in late to call the property. They called us to see when we would arrive and informed us that the front desk would close before we got there so they could leave our key in an envelope on the door. We opted to pick up our keys before dinner since we didn’t want to worry about them being out in the open. Thankfully they called to ask if this was ok but just something to note if you plan to be in late. Otherwise the place was clean and front desk staff was nice. Parking seemed to be limited in the back but we were able to find a spot out front.

Very disappointed. For the price we paid there were no available amenities. The indoor pool was closed (probably due to repair). Most frustrating is the lack of breakfast despite them advertising breakfast provided. Breakfast was literally coffee and donuts in a hallway. They also had not bothered plugging the new ice machine and so ice was loose in a cooler. I will not be staying there again.

The Inn was clean, nicely decorated, safe, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the young lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. The down side was the internet site showed a continental breakfast but what was available was a piece of fruit, fruit bar, Sunny D orange juice and a frozen egg and cheese croissant in a lunch bag. Unfortunately, the microwave in our room didn't work. :( Other than this, it was a ggod stay

It was dark outside by the time we arrived to check in to this location and we had great difficulty finding it since the signage was not lit up. In addition, the free breakfast consisted of the receptionist grabbing either a breakfast sandwich for muffin and juice for you. This was totally inadequate and I consider this to be false advertising. We spent another $40 for breakfast. We saw other travelers running across the 4 lane road to get their breakfast at McDonalds. This is dangerous and unacceptable. We were very disappointed with both the terrible lighting at night and the basically nonexistent "Free Breakfast". We will not stay here again.
