Hyatt House Raleigh North Hills

We booked this property only because of the outdoor pool when we arrived it was closed. No one had called to let anybody know. It was very disappointing and nothing could be done about it

Very nice and friendly staff. However lobby bar was never open.

First off the ladies that was at the front desk wasnt any help and seemed to have attitudes so they eventually sent maintenence to come fix the tv. Then i needed to use kleenex and they had a empty box in the box. Also the pool was closed early even though the weather was great i figured if you still had the outside patio opened then the pool could have stayed open to at least 10pm. Also the bed wasnt comfortable like at other locations of hyatt house that i went to.Dont think ill visit this location again and the parking sucked we drove over a hour looking for parking

Very busy area on Friday night. Be prepared to pay for valet parking. We circled the block a couple times and there was no parking. Otherwise hotel clean and pleasant stay.

I loved the customer service and that the amenities were so close together although the dryer was squealing and the lights wouldn’t stay on unless you were moving around. I loved the workout machines that gave me a virtual tour but I didn’t like that they didn’t have in house food. I also didn’t like that there was only one working elevator. I loved that my hotel room felt like a small apartment with a kitchen, couch, and TV that swiveled around so that I could watch it in the bed. One of my favorite hotels.

friendly staff. King suite is nice and clean. Great Breakfast. Parking was awful but there is a lot on the back side that if you ask front desk they will give you a parking pass.

The hotel is very nice but one of the elevators is out of service. I have been going to this hotel multiple times for about a year. The elevator has only been in service for one of my stays. They always say they are waiting for parts. Every other hotel seems to able to have a working elevator. Enough excuses...just get it done. I am writing the review because it seems like fixing the elevator is not a priority

Overall we liked the property. We had picked it because of location and the pool. Unfortunately, we cannot rate higher. The property did not disclose the pool was not certified and that it was unavailable until check-in. This was disappointing and one of the things my wife was looking forward to.

The showers were not hot. There is no parking. I had to park 2 blocks away from the hotel. The H Bar closed at 9pm. The front desk agent refused to turn on the outside lights or fire pit, so there were approx 6 people sitting around in the dark. The furniture in the room was damaged.

The area was nice restaurants and entertainment was very accessible. The room was okay but it wasn’t cleaned very well. It was a lot of pieces of hair on the floor and sink throughout the room. Also the room was a little dusty in areas.

I really liked the staff all the staff. Very clean hotel. Wonderful surroundings and neighborhood. My only issue would be that the breakfast needs to be longer maybe till 11 or at least 10 am instead of 9 am. People like to sleep in or need most rest when they stay in a hotel.But my stay was perfect cant wait to come back.

The place seems ok, a little run down. Weed smells in the lobby (not sure what can be dine about that). But the room itself; the AC sounded like it was about to die, and our room had a piss/mold smell to it. We thought about adding a day to the trip until we got in there.

Nice hotel- very clean. Enjoyed our stay very much.

What we did have an issue with was the condition of our room! Damaged furniture, ripped duvet, poor quality linen, broken handles, broken sliding bathroom door, broken cabinets, greasy headboard, etc. For $400 a night this is just obscene! Breakfast was very poor too, literally nothing was left and was a chaotic mess!

Beautiful property. Our room had a full kitchen, a sofa, and a separate bedroom.

We love this property. The rooms are spacious and the mini kitchen is a bonus. There is a comfortable seating area and a large bathroom.

Great location and good breakfast and pool area. The staff was very friendly. Parking was easy at Harris Teeter, and lots of dining and shops within walking distance. Wish they had more rooms with 2 real beds for a family of 4 (adults, 2 kids). The pull-out bed was unbearable. We typically don't mind them for a quick weekend for sports tournaments, but this was the worst one I have experienced.

Nice sized room and amenities, but needs updating. The bed was comfortable enough, but very noisy springs that creaked loudly every time I moved. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, so condensation builds. TV is fine, but not very modern - not a smart TV, so no streaming capabilities. The parking situation is not great. You just have to cruise around and hope to get lucky. Very crowded, busy, noisy area.

The Hyatt House North Hills is a relatively new property but the maintenance of the rooms could use attention. Bed was nice, and all the amenities in the room were nice, but one of the beside lamps never worked even after telling the front desk about the issue. At the toilet, there must have been a repair at the water shut off because you could see a big patch of the expanding spray foam they used. It’s nice that there are black out screens but they aren’t tight so there’s a bright halo effect that brightens the room anyway. Over all I’d give the hotel a 8 out 10 and just need to tighten up minor issues.

I had high hopes for this stay but was disappointed with the price point. My room had previous water damage. It was never covered up with paint correction. Something from the 6th floor was making loud dripping noises. It was very distracting while trying to sleep and the bed was super uncomfortable. Both me and my boyfriend woke up hurting. They only had one operating elevator so the on-and-off wait time was very long. The molding was also not completely attached to the shower door. You can hear the people walking above too. I just did not enjoy this stay as much as I had hoped.

Some good some bad. Great location walking distance to a lot. Nice and clean. Suites were wonderful. Pool was great. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Big downside was how thin the walls are. Loud neighbors kept us awake partying most of the night. Also the blackout shades were missing approx 2” at the top and there was a street light directly outside the window. Had to stuff our own towels into that 2” space to black it out but at least it worked.

The waffles looked like the instant sort and were pale, flavorless, and undercooked- as were the sausage links and French Toast. There weren't many breakfast choices, and the available options were high in carbs, poorly seasoned, and not cooked well. Breakfast is included with the stay though, so it's not a major issue. However, it's not anything to look forward to either. On the plus side, there's a breakfast cafe right beside the hotel. Also, the hotel coffee is always hot and delicious. There's also a grocery store within walking distance, so you could cook breakfast inside your suite if inclined. Our suite was street-facing and noisy. The walls and windows are not the best at sound proofing. Also, the "blackout" shades were horrible. Sunlight gets through them no matter how you fix them. Again, these are MINOR issues, but they would not stop me from staying here again. The location is convenient to everything, and everything is within walking distance. It's a great location and a great hotel.

Large clean room. Well designed.

Overall my stay was fantastic. I had minor issues with a leak on the side of the shower and one night, the room above me woke me up as they were running around. Not the hotel's fault, but still any issue. Other than that, the room was very nice and spacious. Parking was free and convenient. Kitchen area was fully stocked. I like the layout with the island/desk. So many restaurants within walking distance! So I didn't have to worry about driving to find somewhere to eat.

Brilliant staff were able to move us to a larger room after I reserved wrong accommodations online by error. They were fantastic!

Best hotel stay I've had in a long time! Arrived very early on check-in today, and the super friendly staff waived the early check-in fee so we could get settled in our room. Each staff member we encountered from front desk to dining to cleaning were so kind and welcoming. The location was absolutely perfect for visiting the Blumenthal Theater and Discovery Place science museum. Easy walking distance to many great restaurants. We'll definitely be back!

I was THERE for my 62nd Birthday Celebration! The ENTIRE STAFF was wonderful from the moment I arrived and was greeted by the parking attendant and front desk to the time I left IT WAS GRAND!!! I WISH I COULD HAVE EVERY SPECIAL EVENT THERE at the NORTH HILLS, Raleigh NC location.

It was a nice place to stay and conveniently located in north hills, but the staff could use some training. Despite the do not disturb sign on the door housekeeping kept knocking and tried to pressure me to check out an hour before the actual checkout time. Super annoying as I was on a work conference call.

Property is modern, and rooms are good size. They are sectioned in a way that creates a good short term living experience. The staff was helpful and personable. Property is in a great location, with several good restaurants and a shopping mall, all within walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s in a great area if you’re interested in shopping and dining options. There was a lot of variety! It’s also a very popular area and the hotel doesn’t have their own designated parking so that could be a challenge during busy times. The hotel does offer valet parking (but it’s pricey at $30/day). Overall, would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Clean hotel in perfect location. Walkable all around North Hills restaurants. The only thing is that it gets noisy in the morning with trash trucks beeping as they back up and construction.

There is no restaurant in this hotel. They offer a breakfast buffet but don’t keep it full. Better get there first thing if you want anything. Pool table is a wreck. Vending options (drinks) are slim and the bar has like 5 liquor’s to choose from. Toilet paper is thin and cheap.
