Parking lot needs repaving. Hard to park motorcycles next to room as spaces contain many divots and uneven and hilly bumps in them. I know that’s an expensive endeavor. Everything’s else about the property, conveniences, staff etc is extremely superb!! 5 stars!!!! 😊

No frills, but decent location, easy to find and pet friendly. I was going to Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury so this location was very convenient. Staff was friendly, helpful and there was flexibility with scheduling. I felt safe enough there that if I needed something, staff would be helpful. I didn’t eat the breakfast because I have strict dietary needs but the coffee was good. :) I would stay there again in the future.

For a few thousand dollars, this place could be much better. Given the price in this expensive area during the leaf season, it was just barely OK. Our room stunk so badly we had to buy room deodorizer to make it tolerable. The outside of the building is simply rundown and shabby. This is not expensive to fix. Our room had old drapes that have absorbed cigarette smoke and retain it. The ceiling had two poorly done patches. But he property was quiet with no evidence of drugs or homeless. It just needs to be operated by someone who knows how to run this business.

This motel is what it is. No frills, a little tired looking. They charge what they know they can get. We stayed during the solar eclipse of 2024. They had a nice welcome snack bag, some eclipse glasses and information about where to eat. The place was clean and not too noisy - given that it was very close to an interstate highway. Minuses were, no hair dryer or iron. Mattresses on the hard side (ok by me but some might dislike), and no complimentary conditioner to go with the shampoo. It was perfectly serviceable for what we needed. It’s not a fancy place.

Great experience. Only negatives were, 1. No coffee maker in rooms, had to go to front desk to get coffee and at 5 AM in the morning it was just warm, 2. TV stopped working. The girls brought us another one and that didn't work either so they brought another one, although it was a little smaller it worked. I don't understand all the bad reviews on this site.

The mattresses were placed on a metal frame to look like giant roll-away beds. The thermostat and fridge were very noisy. It felt like the hotel could fall down any moment. No breakfast, no elevator, no amenities.

The room itself was decent and worked as I only had to stay one night but the door would make noises if the wind picked up and did not sound like it was closed. I’d look for another place to stay if I travel this way again.

Room seemed clean, bed was comfortable and front desk staff was pleasant, but slow. The only chair in the room was a hard straight back desk chair. I was there for 2 days and housekeeping never once came into the room. Grab and Go breakfast was sort of a joke.

The beds were super clean and very neatly made. The bathroom was neat and had eco-friendly soap, lotion, makeup remover and shampoo. The furniture drawers were all empty and clean. Had pamphlet of recommendations for local activities, restaurants, and more. Three breakfast options that are great for on the go. Carpet was super clean, it was dark so you'd see if it was dusty or dirty. No lighting on ceiling, just lamps beside bed, and the lighting by the bathroom and in the bathroom. Fridge and microwave were super clean. Iron, hair dryer, and alarm clock provided.

Terrible, stale, smoky smell in the room, as if the someone had been smoking there for years. The smell was in the carpet, etc. It made us feel sick. Don't at all recommend staying here!!!

The place is run down and creepy. The balcony is crumbling. The room was clean but very down on its luck. Said non-smoking but it reeked of stale smoke. stains on the walls, very hard beds on metal frames. My real issue with this place is that I had to pay $150 when the value was about $79.

Disgusting. Paid $180 for a room online and after looking at photos decided it wasn’t too bad. When we arrived, there was a woman smoking crack on the doorstep of our room. We go in the room and everything reeks of cigarettes. The shower was covered in mold, the beds were filthy, and the TV did not work. Upon check out, we were locked out of the office and tried to call multiple times before the finally answered the door to let us come in and check out.

I would definitely stay there again; would like to see the bathroom restored. Tub and floor not in great shape. Also, heat unit is rather noisy. Otherwise, warm and comfortable stay.

Adequate and without frills, this is a classic, small-town motel. The room was clean but well-worn. It was labeled as non-smoking but that clearly has not been the case. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We're going back to the area and staying there again.

Room was fine. Checkin a little rocky due to odd mistake on room charge. ( It was fixed but took a little extra time and we were running behind for an appointment) Bathtub did not drain so my husband couldn’t shower. They sent someone to fix it very quickly but he was already dressed so missed the chance. I was impressed that the mini fridge had a working freezer.

The facility and rooms are old and tired - they have been treated poorly and not updated for too many years - however the staff and their attitude make up for it. Upon arrival you are welcomed like family and are given instructions to maximize your stay, including how to claim your multi choice breakfast. The whole demeanor of the staff is one of helpfulness and providing service and comfort. We stayed one night on our way from Boston to Quebec and decided that it would be a good choice to stay on our return trip from Quebec back to Boston because of the wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Wee were given the same tired old room on our return... because they remembered us and knew if we were comfortable on our initial stay we would be comfortable again on our second stay. We would recommend the Collonade Inn for an overnight, for sure.

A fine place to stay while Passing through. Nothing around to do in the town but certainly not the hotels fault. The staff was great and welcoming and fixed one issue we had immediately and gave us a suggestion for dinner.

The whole experience was just what we needed. A quiet off the road so we could rest up for another day of driving. The breakfast was convent. You preorder bagel or burrito and fruit, and drink. Then they give you a muffin. He repacks them per individual and you pick them up in the morning to have them in your room. 😊
