Great location. Easy walking to beach, shops, night market and casino. Older unit but had everything we needed. Lovely helpful staff. Down side only 6 car parks. If you miss out on a car park you have to park out side on the street. I would definetly stay here again.

The Cairns City Motel is a good place to stay, it is clean, centrally located and not expensive. It is close to the Aquarium, Markets and Waterfront Precinct. The only downside is that the reception area is only staffed for limited hours and only has 6 off-street parking spaces. I will definitely stay there again.

Shower was similar to an outdoor leaking tap, no pressure at all, almost non functional at times. The shower cubicle itself in terrible state, broken tap covers, floor just left to decay. Air conditioner loud and full of dust. Very little amount of car parking, during week days you may find yourself having to park blocks away from motel. The bed was the only non-negative aspect of the room.

The only thing good about the place was the pillows n the bedside lights. (Could have used them for pig chasin. Bed was terrible, no locks on door, A/C Smelt moldy, mold on shower curtain n every groove of the tiny shower cubicle. Showerhead was either blocked or no water pressure.

The room i was allocated appeared to be in utter disrepair, The sink was crusty and rusting out of the wall. There was a Large Hole in the wall! Missing patches of floorboard, Power outlet looked very concerning with paint flaking around exterior. Also the room/Carpet smelled strongly of urine. Was planning o having a coworker join me at this establishment in the next few days; However have cancelled their reservation and booked elsewhere.

It's clean and has the necessities. Nothing fancy, but we don't need fancy. The manager was polite and helpful. We came after hours and had no problem getting our key from the lock box. A nice simple place to stay.
