Very modern hotel with clean spacious rooms. Bathrooms clean, actually provided L'Occitane toiletries! Only thing missing was lotion. None of the Iceland hotels ave lotions and most do not provide shampoos and conditioners. Hotel rooms had large windows with lovely views. Had a very pleasant stay here even though only stayed one night. They had ample parking. They had hot tubs which we didn't use as we just came from Myvatn nature baths which is very close to the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. They were able to accommodate our arrival an hour earlier than stated check in hours. The room and bathroom were spacious with both tub and shower available. The bath products, L'Occitane were lovely. There was tea and coffee available in the room as well. There were 2 hot tubs and really thick terry robes to use. The night staff provided wake up calls for aurora sightings. The hotel was close to all the Lake Mývatn sites. Very happy with this booking.

Free parking outside hotel. We had free use of the hotel hot tubs before 10pm with the booking but didn’t use them. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good black out curtains. You can eat at either the restaurant in the hotel or another (think probably bit cheaper) across the car park. We ate in and both enjoyed our meals, provided with good service. Breakfast was good with a reasonable range of items that were kept stocked. Happily stay again if ever in the area.

Wir erhielten 1000 isländische Kronen für das Restaurant des Hotels (Gutschein), da wir keine Zimmerreinigung für die beiden Tage in Anspruch nahmen (Umweltfreundlichkeit).

Hôtel bien situé autour du Lac. Chambre spacieuse avec des fauteuils et une machine à café. Les chasses d'eau des toilettes sont bruyantes et l'isolation entre les chambres n'est pas très performante. On entend les voisins prendre leur douche. Les rideaux sont assez occultants ce qui est appréciable l'été. Jolie décoration de l'hôtel et personnel serviable. Les bains extérieurs sont agréables mais un peu trop chaud pour nous. Défaut : la propreté de la chambre. Le sol n'etait pas propre.

The pull out bed was so uncomfortable. I could not sleep and I had severe lower back problems by the 3rd night. I could not even sit in the car the day we checked out. I had to lay across the seats in the back for a six hour drive. The staff was not friendly, but not necessarily rude. Just mostly didnt acknowledge you if you walked by or said hi. The restaurant has minimal food options and it is extremely expensive. I had clumps of hair end up in my bed from the floor not being cleaned. The bathroom tub I had to clean because the sides were scumy from dead skin cells from other people. The hot tub was great outside. The sign up for northern lights was good. The breakfast was great and includes. The blankets are comfortable. Overall it would have been better to stay near the Reykjavic area. Some cute towns, beautiful waterfalls, and interesting museums along the trip North to Myvatn area.

Familienzimmer zu zweit genutzt, sehr groß, viele Ablagemöglichkeiten und Sitzgelegenheiten, gut gedämmt, damit auch sehr ruhig, 2 HotPots zur freien Nutzung inklusive Badmantelservice! Leider nicht ganz sauber, überall lagen Haare herum. Gutes Frühstück

Great location at lake Myvatn. The rooms are modern and the whole hotel feels clean and recently renovated. The hot-tubs are a really nice touch. Midges were not a problem during our stay, there were virtually none in the area of the hotel.

The Mývatan-Berjaya Iceland Hotel is an excellent value for your money. It is not only with an unforgettable location, but the hotel has many amenities to enjoy, including a couple of outdoor hot tubs. The room is beautiful, modern, comfortable, and clean, and it was spacious for three people.They have a good breakfast. We were helped in an extraordinary way by Noelia, who was working at the front desk the night of our arrival. She was very friendly and helpful since we called letting them know our arrival time and she was kind enough to let each guest know if they had requested it, if the northern lights were visible. We were fortunate enough to see our first auroras, and she walked us outside to the best outdoor place to see them. When we arrived, we decided to dine at the restaurant, and all three dishes we ordered were delicious. The restaurant is very nice as well. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

The first night we looked at the lake but also the road so there was a lot of road noise. The second night they moved us to look at the church and it was wonderful, no noise at all. The hotel needs to put soft close hinges on their doors because everytime someone closes their door it shakes your room. The dining room for dinner was great.

This was a nice hotel, and we had a very large room with a sofa and large TV separate from the bedroom. The windows opened slightly to allow the cool breeze in, which was a blessing during the long daylight hours of late May. There were also two fans in the room which made all the difference. There was tons of storage and lots of plugs for all of our devices. They also had washcloths and a full collection of L'occitane products, which was lovely. The only downside was that we asked for dinner reservations for one of the on-site restaurants, but when we arrived, the restaurant didn't have it. Fortunately, we were the first to arrive, so it was easy for us to get a table. The host just really seemed put out by it and acted as if he didn't believe that we should've had a reservation. Outside of that, it was a lovely hotel that had a couple of dinner options and was conveniently located right by the lake.

Despite what seemed like a bit of a more remote location, there was so much to see and do in the area. Actually wish we would have had more time to explore. The only con we had about the place was that the rooms were HOT. Fortunately, they provided fans, but we checked into a room in the afternoon in July, and the shades were open with the sun heating the room all day before we got there. We never got the place cooled down at all.

It is not only with an unforgettable location, but the hotel has many amenities to enjoy, including a couple of outdoor hot tubs. Options in Myvatn weren’t great so we elected to stay here even though it was quite expensive. We arrived in the afternoon and the room was sweltering hot - the blinds were open and the room was in direct sunlight. The radiator had also been left on; the room felt as if it were at least 28-30C. I spoke with someone at the front desk that said some rooms didn’t have central air, so I asked be moved to a room with central air as this wasn’t made clear when booking. No rooms were available and it turns out there isn’t central air in any of the rooms. We were given a small black ‘cooler’, no taller than 1 foot, which was supposed to cool down the room. It didn’t do a thing, so I asked for additional coolers. After waiting an hour with no response, I had to again request the cooler at the front desk. Staff brought a small white fan which is all they had left, and instead of knocking on our door to deliver the fan, the individual barged into our room as we were changing. Fed up with the experience, I requested to check out one day early as we were not happy with the experience. We were denied and so had to stay the second night. Staff were not overly accommodating. The evenings were so hot neither of us slept at all. Spend your money elsewhere.

Love love love. Can not say enough good things! Gorgeous design and great amenities in the room including an eco friendly towel drying rack (powered by hot water). They also have a list where you can write down your room and they’ll wake you up if northern lights are spotted so we got to see those. We were given a corner room with stunning views of the scenery. Absolutely amazing hotel with very kind and accommodating staff!!

The staff resolved an issue prompty and without any fuss. The hotel was to a good standard, the staff very helpfull and the breakfast had a lot of variety (if only it had fresh baked loaves). This hotel appears to be used by coaches, hence it can be difficult to eat at the main restaurant, however the one outside is very good. We loved the practical artwork in the lobby, it added character. We'll be staying there again next time we're in Iceland.

Cool nice looking hotel. Rooms were good. Bar area was nice. Didn’t care for the menu, but the truffle fries were excellent. Great location to do things. Hot Springs, hiking, whale watching. Bartender Tomas was excellent, remembered our orders when we came back in the night. Also exchanged many great life stories and adventures. The karaoke party at the bar behind the hotel was a blast. Everyone was awesome and had a great time! Come to Iceland, must go the Mývatn area and stay here for 2 nights! Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice hotel perfectly located for exploring the Myvatn region. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (if slightly warm, but then we were there when the weather was particularly good). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the hotel has two restaurants. We went to both and enjoyed them. Nice bar area too. Would stay again.

Among the accommodations around Lake Mývatn, this is a relatively clean and cheap hotel for its facilities. We thought the hotel would be great from the reviews. But when we got there the hotel was nice at first a bit too modern in the hallways. I thought the room numbers were a bit on the ugly side. But I digress. The main issue I had with the hotel was the resteraunt. We had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience. The kitchen was understaffed that night. And there was just one waiter. We were not told this when we sat down. As we would have left if we knew this. As our main food dish took 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to us. And our water was empty for 45 minutes while asking for refills 5 seperate times. Now I understand, this isn’t the waiters fault. It’s a result of the kitchen being under staffed. But still frustrating when we weren’t told them were essentially trapped into waiting. Not knowing when our food would arrive. Then when it did arrive my wife and I ordered the beef tenderloin, and it was over cooked and dry. Badly. And we had to send it back because it was too bad. Drinks were very expensive too. Almost 30$ usd a drink. All in all our experience took 3 hours start to finish and we left unsatisfied and annoyed. They did remove the charge for the beef tenderloins we did not eat But we weren’t given a discount for the inconveniences, or an apology or an explanation as to why everything took so long. And that was kind of frustrating as well.

This was one of our favorite hotels from our stay. It was very clean, the staff was attentive and it had the best breakfast we had on our trip. (More than just cold cuts - eggs, bacon, sausage lots of pastries) They have two heated pools. The shower pressure is great. They have a happy hour at their hotel and it was fun to sit at the bar at the end of a day of site seeing and play board games.

Great hotel and location!!! Perfect to have as a home base to then go out and see the area. Really close to gas station and market. The only thing I would say - and is not a problem with the hotel - is that the doors are pretty heavy and most guests don’t take into consideration to close them carefully, so when they slam shut it makes quite a loud noise.
