Ashwood Motel

The room was impeccably clean and tidy. Love the 60’, 70’s vibe, takes me back to my childhood. The motel is in an excellent location. Good sized bar fridge. The shower was strong and easy to maintain the temp I wanted. Even thought it is on a main road, I didn’t hear the traffic noise. All the necessities were available. - toaster, jug, microwave and iron. Plates, glasses and cutlery as well. No coat hangers, I suppose people keep nicking them, so bring some if here for more than a couple of days. Luxurious white fluffy towels and face cloths. The bed was firm but comfy. Great air conditioner. There is a little table with 2 chairs outside where we sat for drinks. Only one negative was power points. They are flush with the bench top so unusable with many plugs like my CPAP machine. Also, there was not power points on the wall where the bed is. Thankfully I have a travel CPAPA machine so was able to use the battery. Thankfully the power points in the bathroom is usable. So, if you are staying here and need a CPAP machine, you either create a trip hazard using an extension cord or bring a travel one with a battery. We did see a power points this morning on the bathroom wall.

Clean well appointed stay

It was a quick trip for us, late check-in which the staff accommodated by having the room ready for our after hours arrival. Room was easy to find and parking right in front of the room.

Good motel, very spacious comfortable unit. Very quiet even though its on main highway.

Have stayed at the Ashwood many times. Rooms always clean and tidy. Easy parking. Staff always helpful. Will definitely be back.
