Stayed 3 nights

We stayed for three nights as a couple. The location is convenient, very close to Rotterdam Central Station, and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in as early as 11:00 a.m. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. We were out from 8:30 a.m. until around 4:00 p.m., and when we returned our room still had not been cleaned. Housekeeping was still working at that time and was making considerable noise and shouting in the corridor, which was particularly unpleasant. The room also feels dated, with no fridge or safe, an old TV and insufficient power outlets. The shower door did not close properly, making it difficult to shower without getting water on the bathroom floor. The lifts were also under repair during our stay, with only one available most of the time. Breakfast has a reasonable selection, but the quality is mediocre. The orange juice in particular was extremely unpleasant and tasted strongly of medicine. There was also a JW event taking place at the hotel during our stay. The event setup occupied part of the lobby/common areas, including during breakfast, which made these areas feel less comfortable and welcoming for regular hotel guests. While we understand that hotels host events, we felt that the use of the common areas could have been managed better. The hotel is currently surrounded by construction works, which makes getting around less convenient. We chose this hotel mainly because

Breakfast was okay, but no variety. Everyday the same thing. Line for coffee was horrendous each day. Room was okay. No fridge or safe in room. The Mariot down the road is closer to the station and priced mostly the same. Included breakfast is not enough to swing the high price in my opinion.
