When we arrived, there were potato chips crumbles on the floor and bread crumbs on the desk. We cleaned the desk ourselves. The potato chips crumbles were still there, after the next „room cleaning“. The bathroom and carpet had a lot of lingering stains. Breakfast is of low quality, but the breakfast crew was very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff appears to be rude and arrogant, or nice enough - depending on the time of day. The room was quite run down. There is some maintenance going on in the hotel (long waiting times for the elevators, 2 instead of 4 working), maybe they will also upgrade the rooms. Until then, we cannot recommend this hotel.

Two temporary things that made this stay a little rougher for us: massive construction in the intersection just outside the hotel and 3 of 4 elevators not working. Otherwise the stay was good. Breakfast in particular was appreciated and close location to Rotterdam Centraal came in handy. Check out the Biergarten hidden around the corner if you have time.
