The room was huge, which was great for 6 of us. I enjoyed how they decorated for Christmas, a tree on every floor by the elevator. We liked the warm cookies available for free in the afternoon and the fruit available for free in the morning. The pull-out couch isn't very comfortable, but that's not surprising. It costs $20 to park the car in the ramp, but you can only park on floor 4 or 5, which was weird.

Room was clean and comfortable, and good workout room and breakfast as you expect for what you pay at Hampton. Kind of a cool area, with a number of restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as a grocery store, CVS, and natural foods store. On the other hand, had to pay for parking and the hotel parking was inconvenient - it is on the top two floors of a parking structure, but the only hotel entrance is on the first floor. Front desk staff was very friendly, but he had to put in a 24-hour (or more) shift as there was no other help.

Comfortable stay - we needed a quick overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a gym and continental breakfast but we did not have a chance to enjoy those. Two cons: -parking is $20 per night and there is no direct access for lot to hotel. You have to come down 4-5 levels to the ground floor and back outside to access the hotel. -this may have been based on where our room was but we could hear others in the hall way, doors closing, etc very easily. I would still stay here again - good value and location.

This Hampton Inn is located right in the heart of downtown Carrboro. Convenient to shopping and dining. Facilities include a business center, fitness center and swimming pool. Parking is in the attached garage on the 4th and 5th floors and may cost $20 per night, but is free if you are a Hilton Honors member.

Great location. Friendly and professional staff. The room was nice. Only two downfalls. 1. The shower leaked a lot of water onto the bathroom floor; like a huge puddle each shower. This was not isolated to our room as other family members in other rooms had the same issue. 2. The toilet paper was probably the thinnest and cheapest I’ve ever seen/used.

Avoid if you possibly can. Be aware that if you have a car there's an additional $20 a day parking fee for the third party parking deck attached to the hotel. I checked in on Thursday January 16th. Discovered an old bar of soap in the shower, a sink in the bath room that would not drain, and blood on the bottom bed sheet which was not mine. I alerted the front desk to this and on Friday they came and changed the bed and fixed the sink. There was no coffee service that Friday. The sign on their mirror says they service the room every other day. I checked out on Monday January 20th and The room was never serviced between Friday and Monday. If I wanted coffee I had to go down to the front desk and ask for it. The bed was never made except for that one Friday. I guess the lack of service is the new norm since COVID. I'm a big fan of Hampton inn and I'm a member of Hilton honors but I have never run into a situation with a room like this particular facility.

Likes: great pool area, clean, good linens, good breakfast Dislikes: toilet paper, tissue and body wash were all out in our room. Bathroom sink faucet didn’t work- only trickled water. Booked 2 rooms under same reservation and because I didn’t request the rooms be close, they gave us rooms on different floors. When I requested the rooms be connected or at least on same floor at check in, I was told it “couldn’t be done” and no effort was put in to get us closer. Not a big deal but annoying considering price.

Nice hotel with a great location. My only complaints are minor. Bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan and water pressure was low. Also, regular rooms don’t have a refrigerator or microwave.

Our stay was very good and would have been excellent except our door (rm 418) was extremely difficult to open and close. (My wife was unable to do either.) The door was far too tight in its frame. We reported this twice to the front desk and were assured it would be taken care of. But nothing had been done by the 3rd day when we left. ( The room was otherwise fine.)

I had disappointing experience at this property. From the start, things went wrong. I booked a two-queen room but was given a single king, which forced me to go back to the front desk with all my luggage. The reassigned room was located directly next to extremely loud equipment, making it difficult to relax. Over the course of four nights, housekeeping never came by once, despite repeated assurances from staff that they would address my concerns. Each time I raised issues, I received the same “we’ll take care of it” response, but nothing was ever actually resolved. This reflects poor follow-through and management. Basic expectations—getting the correct room, a reasonable level of quiet, and housekeeping—were simply not met.

This hotel is located right on Main Street about a mile from UNC Chapel Hill. It’s a nice hotel and the rooms are nice. The people were pleasant and helpful. The negatives are that there’s no signage as you drive up to it so it’s very hard to fine. It’s located behind other storefronts, so you don’t even know it’s there. The parking is horrible. You pay $20 a night to park but you have to park in the parking garage next-door and only on the fourth or fifth level. I don’t think the parking garage had any cars in it beyond the first level, the whole time I was there.

We came into town for a Carolina game and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The desk staff was particularly helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to Franklin Street and the university. We took the Franklin Street shuttle to the game, and the hotel was in a very convenient location for that. The room was comfy, and the shower was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

We checked in late. I only had to pay half price for parking. We checked into the room there was no USB ports to charge our computers. We r in a college town. We then checked out the next morning. We went to the parking garage and my son said there was a homeless person sitting right next to the car. He was very frightened and went back to the front desk within a half hour or so the police came to take the homeless people. I don't know why you people do not have cameras in the garage and outside to stop this. The front desk said that this happens all the time. If someone got hurt because the hotels lack of safety there would b a law suit. The best part is he didn't even give us a discount ticket the parking fee away from us. I'll never stay at your hotel again. Chapel Hill needs to be aware of this.

NO signage on the front of the building, NONE! We weren't sure whether we were in the right place. The desk clerk said he hears that complaint often...so why not do something about it? SMH. The lamp in the room was unplugged, & I had to get on my hands & knees & crawl under the desk to plug it in. The toilet paper holder was broken and hanging by a piece. Toilet paper was placed in the middle of the tank, hardly accessible. The showerhead was so high I had to stand on the edge of the tub to adjust the angle & stream. The room was spotless, fresh, and comfortable. Staff at the reception desk were very friendly & polite. The temperature in our room was set at 90 when we arrived, very hot!

I absolutely loved the staff at the front desk-they were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful and variety of new choices each day. The room layout was well thought out and worked so well. For example, the desk with mirror and a light by the window gave great lighting for me to get ready and not hog the bathroom.

Mercy at the front desk welcomed us in and she was really great! Property is in good condition and we liked the breakfast and the attached restaurant where we were able to catch some sporting events. We were visiting UNC Chapel Hill and it was really convenient to that location. Lots of bars/restaurants and some shopping but not much else to do there! Our room was ok, but some things were less than perfect (may be ok for others). The beds are firm and my husband and I struggled with back/hip pain (my daughter loves a firm bed and appreciated it). The bathroom was super clean but it gets super steamy/hot and it set the smoke detector off. Shower bar and toilet paper holder need repairs, had to push both up every time using to make it work. Didn’t love the parking in the area and it was $20/night for hotel guests which was a bit off-putting since you can only park 4/5 floor of the attached parking garage, thought that was a little steep when the garage was mostly empty…Staff was very pleasant and accommodating, it was a decent stay!
