Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott North Spring

We stayed here along with other families for a soccer tournament. The staff was friendly and hard working and the lobby provided a nice place for us to hang out with other families. Breakfast was clean and had a decent variety. The location feels a bit sketchy but is a quick drive to some nice locations like the Woodlands Mall. Unfortunately, overall, it feels like the property is rundown and understaffed. The hotel was completely booked one night with only one staff member on site doing everything from checking in to room maintenance to house keeping. They were over-booked and many families we traveled with did not get the rooms they reserved and were left with 1 King bed for an entire family. The sole staff member on site was left to deal with this mess alone. Not his fault, he worked as hard as he could but you have to wonder what’s going on that’s he was in that position. Furthermore, many rooms had broken TVs and the pool was not swimmable and had not been cleaned. Both of these were pretty big disappointments for families traveling in the summer. This property needs more resources and to be appropriately staffed and it could be a great option for an affordable family stay.

I didn’t like that the pool was closed… my teenagers were looking forward to swim…

Tv kept turning off, pool tiles were falling apart. Everything else was great breakfast was delicious and enjoyable.

It is overall a good place to stay the staff was very nice. But the pool and hot tub were out of commission on a holiday weekend

Nice hotel but ice machines didn’t work. No coffee cups in morning!! But nice accommodations.

Elevator was out of order, our room was on the 4th floor

Pool had broken bricks, rips in the carpet of the rooms, scratches down the walls. Breakfast was okay. Little worn down feeling and old.

I liked the service and everything in the hotel , the only problem was a hot tub / jacuzzi . It didn’t have a filter and it was really dirty . Also hotel was on renovation but it was ok

Glass in pool, tiles broken and falling off in the pool. Two of our friends children cut their feet on the bottom of the pool. Front desk receptionist was extremely rude.

Only issue is the hot tub was out of order and that’s one of the main factors on me choosing the hotel

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We walked in the room has a nasty smell to it, a lamp is broke, tv is broken as well, and the lamp next to the bed looks like throw up on the shade. Not cleanliness at all. The guy who checked us in didn’t tell us what room we are when breakfast was nor where the elevator was we had to ask everything. Overall if we didn’t pay in advance and it wasn’t 1am we would have found a different hotel to stay at.

It is not a Marriott chain hotel standard. During my stay for 8 days, I only got my room done 1 time. The staff (front disk) didn’t pay attention to the gest and have no interest in helping. Breakfast – don’t pay for it take it outside. I hope that the management will take action on these topics. On my next stay in Houston I will definitely choose an other hotel group.

Cleaning service never cleaned my room, colleague had a roach and mold in his room

There were coffee cup lid under the table. When we turned on the tv, different name of guest showed up. There were some clothes left in the drawer assuming from previous guest. Elevator floors(tiles) were cracked. Beside all that, the breakfast was great.

The hotel wasn't very pleasant. It had nothing to do with the service, but rather with the hotel's upkeep. The carpets, lobby, and rooms were dirty and smelled bad, and the walls were dirty and damaged. I wouldn't stay there again.

Overall I am happy with my stay. However I did have an issue with the bedsheets having stains on them twice. I was only staying for one night before a cruise so I decided to just sleep on top of the bed with towels. Other than that I did enjoy this hotel. It does need some work, but had a lovely staff, and a great smell to both the room and lobby. I also appreciated the pool and hot tub. I don't know if I went during a slow period but the hotel felt empty in a good way. I stayed her before my Carnival cruise in Galveston and would consider staying here again. But I would be worried about the bedsheets.

First room they gave me had a dead TV. Second room they gave me had a cockroach in the bathroom. I killed it right away. The bed and the sheets were average, the shower and the bathroom were excellent.

Upon our arrival at the hotel after a long road trip, we checked in and unpacked our car and suitcases. To our dismay, we discovered a used condom and wrapper on the floor of our supposedly clean and disinfected room. This was completely unacceptable. Subsequently, we were moved from Room 414 to Room 413, only to find the second room in an equally unsatisfactory condition. The room had a damp, wet, musty smell, blonde hair stuck on the headboard, dusty curtains, and overall lacked cleanliness. This experience was highly disappointing, and as a result, I have decided that I will never stay at this hotel again. Additionally, I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to my family, friends, or anyone else seeking accommodation.( I also have photos)☹️

Our room was muggy and smelled like mildew, sheets were clean but I felt gross and dirty in this place. Stains on towels and lampshades.

Exterior looks newer, inside hallways and rooms are weary. Peeling paint on doors, a/c that cools but doesn't remove the humidity (maintenance issue), toilet didn't work in the first room so we were moved to another where the sink faucet and toilet paper holder were never anchored to their respective places (flopped around, both of them). Cruddy caulk in the bath in need of renewing. A used bandaid fell out of the lil basket that holds the coffee packets, lordy. Unlike any other Fairfield or Marriot I've stayed in. All that said, the room was very well soundproofed so that the deafening interstate traffic was absolutely not a problem at all, which was wonderful.

Staff is average - not overly polite, and not dismissive. Rooms are clean, but the noise that travels between rooms and the hallway could be better. Note - there are NO sidewalks and the hotel is on a very busy service road off the highway. What should have been a 5 minute walk for me to get to the office wound up being a 20 minute ordeal having to order an Uber to go 1/4 mile and this means I will not stay here again. Food available for purchase is average - definitely not a lot of healthy options. The good news is there are lots of good restaurants and shops close by - but the lack of sidewalks and being forced to get ubers if you don't have a car rental makes this place a no go for my bi-monthly visits.

The good: general area offers a variety of international cuisine (Mongolian, sushi, Vietnamese, etc). Convenient and easy access to 45 fwy. Free “no frills” breakfast. The hotel is literally in front of the busy and noisy 45 fwy but our room was facing the back and there was no noticeable noise from freeway. The bad: the hotel, in general, is tired, sad and in need of renovation! Pool tiles are cracked, loose and broken. Same as elevator floors, etc both in our room and public spaces. Parking is free but the area looks shady and doesn’t look safe.

Right next to interstate made it easy to stop and stay and not travel into the city.

I love this hotel! We never stay anywhere else when we come visit our family in the Spring, TX area. Staff is so friendly and helpful, best free breakfast, outdoor pool and hot tub, comfortable beds, good location. It is right off a busy highway, but you can’t hear it too much when you’re inside. I like the sound, it soothes me.

Stay was pleasant. Room was big & comfortable. Only thing was a/c made strange noises, but still worked well. The only negative about the appearance of the hotel was that the halls needed fresh paint. There was scuffs along the hallway walls.

Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, but our TV didn't work and the reading lights above the bed were broken. We didn't use either, so they didn't impact our stay. Overall, our stay was nice.

Always have a great experience at this location! The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and spacious, and there are a lot of things to do in the area. I specifically choose this location when traveling.

Ariel at front desk provided excellent customer service! She was attentive and knowledgeable. She made my check in process smooth and easy.

We were allowed to check in early and were treated wonderfully by the lady at the front desk. We called multiple times to get additional pillows and a blanket with no answer at the front desk. We went down twice and there were also people waiting to be checked in with no staff in sight. We waited at least 20 minutes for someone to come help. They said they would send our items up to our room, but they never came.

Very enjoyable stay. I look forward to staying there during my travels to San Antonio. The staff are very accommodating. The cleaning staff are to be commended for a very good job.

From check in to check out, all of the staff were friendly and the front desk always made a point to call me by name when saying hello. Customer service was fantastic!!

Checked in at 8:30 PM and there was no receptionist on site. We had to call her at a number left at the desk and wait 10 minutes for her to drive back from wherever she was.

Staff - EXCELLENT! Room - EXCELLENT! Beds - COMFORTABLE!! A/C - COLD! Couldn't add for anything better. Thank you to the staff.

Great customer service

Unfortunately, I was unable to make the stay. We had a death in family, and I had to cancel the reservation. When I was able to speak to a manager, they never once offered condolences. I was out on a brief hold, and then told I needed to contact Hotels.com to cancel, and then hung up on. TERRIBLE customer service!

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well located drive a short distance to food, shopping and the Pavillion.

Beautiful hotel convenient location

Good location right off the highway, remember it is right of the highway so there are road sounds when trying to sleep. Nice breakfast, helpful employees.

The property is centrally located close to everything. Our room was clean, very important. The whole facility was clean and the breakfast in the morning was great. I will definitely stay there again!

It is right on the interstate and it's noisy even in the rooms. Location is terrible. One ice machine worked on the 4th floor, all others were out of order. The front desk staff was nice, but I will NOT stay here again. I would rather pay a little more and stay somewhere nicer and safer.

I enjoyed my room.It was comfy and cozy and had a lot of amenities. I appreciated using the luggage trolley, because I overpacked! Breakfast was pretty good no complaints! Convenient location to the highway and fast food! Did not get to swim. Staff was accommodating and helpful and nice! I loved the smell of the shampoo and lotions they left in my room! My only drawback was the dirty curtains and blackout shade

Everything is fine, every time. Excellent for the money. The breakfast is better than what’s offered at most hotels at this price point.

Good location and friendly service. A couple of things could have been better- breakfast had limited selection, it took the hot water a long time to warm up in room 402 and there was not a plug in the bathroom sink. Not deal breakers, but not what is usual for Fairfield Inns.

Excellent hotel, previously stayed before and will again. Safe area and convenient location. The only gripe would be more breakfast choices. Overall, excellent choice hotel.
