Mango Motel Wildwood Beach & Boardwalk

Everything was great, except the hot tub isn’t hot. It’s more an extension of the pool.

Only complaint I had was that the spa was unusually cold. Other than that, excellent stay.

Overall, we had a great time at the Mango Motel. It is exactly what you'd expect for the price. The biggest downside was that the hot tub was not working.

I mean it was a motel so i didn't have high expectations. It was clean, and that was enough i guess. The pool was kinda dirty thou. Staff were friendly.

A bit outdated, but the room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, and the surrounding area was quiet and seemed safe (although it was off-season in Wildwood). Free parking onsite is limited (as it is with most Wildwood motels) but there was a free parking lot for guests across the street from the property. The only staff I came in contact was the front desk staff (and owner?) and she was pleasant enough. Very conveniently located near the beaches and the convention center.

Great location, close to the beach, room was a little small, and the pool needs some attention.

Our stay was perfect. Great location, free parking, room was clean and exactly what we needed for our trip (a clean place to sleep and shower lol). Property is well-maintained and gentleman from the office was very helpful and friendly. Nice pool area and grill too.

It was in the 90s, the AC unit ran for 3 days with no change in temperature. At night time we left the door open to stay cool. It was cooler outside.. gurr. The pool was 40'x20' 4 foot deep and an attached jacuzzi that was about 8' round 4 deep in the middle.. Water temperature was around 65 degrees. At night time a guy would put 5 gallons of chlorine between the pool and jacuzzi, that were attached to each other.. He didnt test the water just poured it in. My pool is 25'x50' 12' deep and 5 gallons of chorine would last me over a week. Very dangerous.

Very clean comfortable room. Pool area clean. Parking a little tight, but room for all to have a parking space. 2 blocks to the boardwalk & beach. Bike rental around the corner. Plenty of restaurants & small stores in walking distance

Mango Motel is a nice little motel experience. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. My impression was that this was a pretty well refurbished motel that had been around for a little while. Some quirks to that but overall functional and comfortable. I had a corner room which came with a kitchenette. Worked well for my needs but felt like it would be a bit tight with more than two people.

The room was clean, nice amenities, beds very comfortable, large TV with alot of channels. Decor is modern. Pool is clean. Staff at check in desk is very courteous. Easy check in. Appreciate letting us park in front. Recommended place to stay in Wildwood.

We had a great stay. The room was small, but comfortable. The beds were great. My kids liked that they could watch YouTube on the FireTV. The management was very friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be beat as it is in walking distance to the beach, boardwalk, and many good restaurants. I'd have given better ratings except: 1. The floor in the room was very sandy and dirty. We had to keep socks or sandals on at all times. 2. There is no daily housekeeping, which I appreciate on an environmental standpoint, but it was less than convenient having to call and then meet the owners at the laundry area for towels and toilet paper. 3. There were a lot of flies in our room. I know that it's summer, and some insects are inevitable, but it was annoying.

This was a three night stay. The price was good and this place had a rating of very good so i considered that a Jackpot, stupid me. Its super close to the boardwalk which is not something i usually look for. All the locals frequent the places nearby, even the junkies. Limited parking at the hotel but there is a lot across the street where you cant see your car so don't leave anything in it. You have do do a luggage drive-by. The other guests were SO loud, woke us up at 6am having a full on debate in front of our door. The walls are paper thin and the door to the room looked and felt like one good shove and all your stuff would be GONE! No housekeeping. Oh well. Room was small-all beds and table. Whoever put the shower curtain up was clueless. The entire floor gets soaked aver time you use the shower and you cant adjust it. Good thing you can go get your own towels because you need them for the floor. No need to exfoliate because the shower pressure will take your skin off. The thing that sticks in my mind most is that when we arrived i took my shoes off and my feet were covered in sand and dirt in about 4 steps. I kept them on for the rest of the time. Ill keep myself in the crest from now on.

We were running late to check in and received a call to confirm our arrival, offering any assistance if needed. When we arrived, check in was quick and our room was nice and cool which was much appreciated after the long drive. It also smelled clean, the floors were clean, new towels in the bathroom, clean sheets, comfy beds. And i liked the lighting options too, nothing crazy but different than what I've seen before. The couple that run the hotel were really friendly and it's obvious they care about accommodating their guests. This place is only about 2 blocks from the boardwalk and close to the Splash Zone and Raging Waters water parks, so close to the action, but also within about a half mile of the convention center. We only reserved one night but decided we'd stay one more so we could try the escape room on the boardwalk (one of the best I've done) and hit the water park. Luckily they were able to accommodate us and at an extremely fair rate for an extra weekend day. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were pretty clean, I think they do need some updating of floors in bathrooms because they were stained and could possibly have mildew in the corners. You can tell the motel is run by family, I’m pretty sure they live on property. We were only here for 2 nights but both nights it sounded like a banger was happening at the motel. Mind you we stayed off season! The noise was until 2am both nights. The staff was very nice!

Photographs and reviews do not represent the modest attempt to update an aged facility. Many small structural improvements are necessary or are in need of repairs. Cumulative number of items in the room add up. Bedding and linens were adequate. However, the floor and touch surfaces were grimy. Location was convenient to boardwalk.

The price was crazy for what we got. Bathroom had ants! Not the cleanest! Tv wouldn’t work and let them know and the guy came to knock on our door at 11:00pm. Like that is late and i am not answering the door. It was unacceptable! The overall place was not great!!

We checked in to the most nastiest and dirtiest room we have ever seen! The pictures are very deceitful! The room had ants, spider webs and sand in every corner. Mold in the bathroom floor. Hair all over the tub. Toilet rims were black. My daughter feet were black from just walking around the room for a minute. The remote had food or candy all over it. We requested to please be moved. We were moved to another room that was just as filthy. The best part was when we walked into the bathroom and seen Pubic hair in the tub and the owner said “ no it’s just a crack” proceeds to touch it to then have public hair on his fingers!! At that point he said ok we will cancel reservation with refund with Expedia. We check out, contact Expedia and owners lied and denied our refund. It’s a shame that this business would be so foul. They also own BelAir and that’s very run down. Avoid these places they are rude and scammers. Hope this review can save someone from such a disappointment or loss of hard worked money.

This was a cute little motel and for the price and being one night it was doable. The room was very small and the bed took up 90% of it. Not sure if all rooms are like that, but ours was. But again, one night. It had a microwave and a fridge, bathroom, shower and AC unit. Bed was comfortable. No noise issue and we are about 2 blocks from the boardwalk. We walked to Mudhen brewery which was less than a mile and a nice walk! I would stay here again if it was for a night again. More than that, I would choose something more comfortable in regards to space.

My room was very small. Blinds on windows, no curtains. Room was bright the entire night from outside lighting. My room was also near ice machine. You could hear people getting ice and their conversations while getting it throughout the night.

Mango Motel is a great spot to stay in Wildwood! It’s incredibly close to the boardwalk and the price is great for the convenience and walkability. The room was clean and air conditioned. They offer free parking in a lot across the street. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating and very communicative. The only single downside was that the king bedroom was super tiny, basically just a bed, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on. But the owner suggested next time to book a two bed room for more space which was sweet of them to offer. Will definitely be staying here next time we’re in Wildwood!

room #2 was clean but small and it needs blackout curtains, overall it was very nice and comfortable

I can't leave a good review. I paid $200 for a room that was the size of my bathroom in my home. I booked a standard king room. I was given Room #3 which was basically a room with a bed. No closet, no where to store clothing, toiletries, etc. I actually felt claustrophobic for the first time in my life. I would never recommend this property to anyone. I was highly dissatisfied and disappointed. The room I viewed online before making the decision to stay there was misleading and not even close to what I received. First time booking through Expedia where I would really like my money returned. Just a terrible experience.

The room was clean, good location, friendly service and very affordable. We had room #3 and it was a king bed, it was a bit tight not much space, but fine for just arriving to sleep. Other rooms had a large window and balcony.

I enjoyed my stay at The Mango Motel. The room was very clean and designed with space saving furniture for comfort and space. The bath and shower were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The manager was prompt and attentive to our needs. Definitely will return and use the pool and hot tub next time. Highly recommend

it was really nice to stay in a hotel. It actually had streaming services.

Very Rude and unprofessional hotel staff. They would not let me speak with a manager after they harassed kids for an ID they don’t have. They barely speak English and once I asked for a manager they acted like that don’t speak it at all.

The room was very nice. The issue was that a few rooms were rented to teenagers for a prom. They were up to 3:00 a.m. drinking and making a lot of noise which kept my wife and I awake. We had a 3 hour ride home with limited sleep. The manager didn't give us any money back for this major inconvenience. Very unacceptable and will never stay here again.

We booked a room with a king bed. Upon arrival they tried to give me a room with 2 queen beds. They had no rooms available with a king bed. They did however get us a room at a nearby hotel. It did take me getting upset and angry before that happened. And also delayed our check in for about 45 min to an hour after I arrived.

We felt like family. Early check-in was easy and room was perfect.

The hotel owner was kind, friendly, and accommodating. Hotel had great energy. I throughly enjoyed my stay there. Great location.

This is the perfect location for Wildwood Boardwalk! Everything is walkable and safe. My room was clean and plenty of everything I needed. My air conditioner was not working when I arrived and in less than 30 minutes a new unit was delivered and installed! Amazing! The staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

The managers need to say one needs to let them know time of arrival I received calls and texts from front desk while I was traveling inquiring about my arrival time It would be helpful if it’s their policy to let them know arrival time it would be great

Motel owners a little shady. Fair warning they make you put a $150 deposit down when you get there in cash.

The couple that run the hotel were really friendly and it's obvious they care about accommodating their guests. This place is only about 2 blocks from the boardwalk and close to the Splash Zone and Raging Waters water parks, so close to the action, but also within about a half mile of the convention center. We only reserved one night but decided we'd stay one more so we could try the escape room on the boardwalk (one of the best I've done) and hit the water park. Luckily they were able to accommodate us and at an extremely fair rate for an extra weekend day. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is great, 5 min walk to beach and boardwalk, located near rides, convenient parking, nice pool and spa, rooms were adequate for a family of 4 and had refrigerator. Beds were fine as well as pillows, rooms were clean and fresh towels. We had an end unit and at night could hear loud cars and motorcycles. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

The couple in the reception is super friendly and very helpful, we really liked them. Regarding the room, it was renovated and was not wholly cleaned after that, the bathroom's door doesn't open properly, the A/C - heater didn't work, the windows were broken and we could not close them, the room is very bright in the morning as the curtains are not blackout. There is a bar close by that isn't quiet until 2 am/3 am.

Great location if you’re a family that walks the boardwalk. A short walk and everything is right there. The owners were so friendly. Helped our family park our cars together. The other guests were quiet and friendly. Motel is what you would expect from a shore motel. Perfect for a few nights.
