We travel through every year on our way to Texas. We love staying here. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. They provide a refrigerator and microwave. There is a convenience store next door with meals available. Love the state park near by too.

This place is one of those U-shaped little single-story roadside motels that were everywhere in the 1940s and 50s. You park directly in front of your room, and walk right in. The room was immaculately clean, with a big flat-screen TV, all the Direct TV channels, a four-cup coffeemaker, refrigerator freezer, desk and chair, bedside table, with an easy-reach wall switch, and a terrific queen-sized bed. The price for a night's stay is also terrific. I'd recommend this motel to my friends and family without hesitation. It was really nice, and staff was, too! The parking area is well-lit and has plenty of room to back around and navigate. It's next door a big EZ Mart conveience store.

Pros: newly remodeled and freshly painted. Bed, for us, extra comfortable since we like firmer matresses. Loved the pillows. Towels fluffy. LOTS of cable channels to choose from. Microwave and fridge a big plus. Lots of space on bathroom counter. Cons: outside door. Two staff people were civil but not overly friendly and neither of the two I had to deal with never smiled and nor did I feel like I was truly welcomed.

If you like a hard bed this is your motel. It is the nicest of the motels in Ashdown. The coffee pot had moldy coffee grounds in it. No running water when we checked in. They are working on remodeling his motel.

The lady at the desk was very nice. The room was neat. The mini Frigidaire was awesome it had a separate freezer. The only thing wrong was the toilet was not clean. There was hair all over it and ground the toilet was dirty. Other than. That the beds were comfy. All in all it was hands down better than Sams casino .

Overall it was very nice. I think the coffee pot had not been cleaned, but everything else was very nice and clean. For a motel if it's rating and price, it far exceeded my expectations. If traveling through Ashdown again, I would definitely stay there and recommend it to others.

Perfectly valid value for the price. I booked two nights, but my king room was not available when I arrived, even though I would have been penalized one night - that is, I had paid for it. The second room I got had no power outlets and no lamp at the desk, so working on the laptop was tough.

It was a small simple room. I was staying by myself so it was perfect. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. The room was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. There is a train nearby but it didn't bother my sleep. Overall it was a nice place and I would stay here again.

We got what we paid for and they had a great photographer taking pictures for their website. No frills, just 2 beds and a bathroom. The hotel is very close to the railroad tracks, which can be heard through the thin walls as it blows its horn durning the early morning hours. There was a strong odor of a cleaning product which lingered even with the door open. I'd stay somewhere else next time.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The location was great for us head out to see the eclipse. Check in was quick and easy. However, when I wanted to check out, I waited several minutes for someone to check me out and print a receipt, but no one came.

Checked in at 2am and the desk clerk was extremely rude. She had been sleeping in an office/backroom and was in her pajamas. Very argumentative and didn’t want to check me in even though I had a reservation and had prepaid for the room. Then gave me a room which a single bed when I had reserved 2 double beds. She was very argumentative about that until I pulled up my reservation confirmation and showed her. Facility and roooms were nice, but customer service was extremely poor

Me and my daughter rented rooms there my reservation got messed up so I ask if I could visit my daughter in her room while I fixed it and they told me no even tho I was renting a room also I won't rent there again and they office lady was rude with her answers

The staff was so rude from the beginning to the end of our week stay there while my husband was working in Ashdown. I had to go out of my way to get clean towels daily and when I did ask, they seemed to be annoyed that I "inconvenienced" them. We travel alot and this specific job my husband was asleep during the day because he worked nights. All trash and linens I did myself because there wasn\'t an attempt on their part to clean anything in our room until our stay was over. With there not being many places to stay in the area, we would assume they\'d would\'ve been more accomodable to the guest that did have.

Not friendly at check in. Wanted to change from 3 nights to 2 nights-had to get another person to handle. Weather rainy and shoes were wet when we entered room which had tile on the floor and no rug as you entered. Very slick and dangerous. Room service was minimal-emptied rash-did not empty coffee pot, make up beds-took used towels but did not replace. Also-but not their fault-trains blowing whistles several times each night waking us up each time. Good rate but thats all.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The location was great for us head out to see the eclipse. Check in was quick and easy. However, when I wanted to check out, I waited several minutes for someone to check me out and print a receipt, but no one came.

If you like a hard bed this is your motel. It is the nicest of the motels in Ashdown. The coffee pot had moldy coffee grounds in it. No running water when we checked in. They are working on remodeling his motel.

It was a small simple room. I was staying by myself so it was perfect. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. The room was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. There is a train nearby but it didn't bother my sleep. Overall it was a nice place and I would stay here again.

We travel through every year on our way to Texas. We love staying here. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. They provide a refrigerator and microwave. There is a convenience store next door with meals available. Love the state park near by too.

Overall it was very nice. I think the coffee pot had not been cleaned, but everything else was very nice and clean. For a motel if it's rating and price, it far exceeded my expectations. If traveling through Ashdown again, I would definitely stay there and recommend it to others.

This was a surprisingly clean room and much better than expected. For the price it was amazing. There was an issue with the shower in the morning but the staff was helpful in looking into the problem. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and updated. The only issue was that there was a lot of humidity in the room because it did not have an exhaust fan. otherwise the room was great and the area was very quiet.

Just a stop from Houston to Hot Springs. Nasty. Deteriorated could still be clean to render it do-able. Never again. I do not recommend. (Of course, there is a service station directly next door if you should need it. We did not.)
