Our stay at the Wight Hotel in Sandown was absolutely brilliant. Full Monty breakfast was first class. The staff were great - nothing was too much trouble for them; so friendly and helpful. we were made to feel very welcome and soon made ourselves at home enjoying the friendly Wight atmosphere and all the services which were available. some great nights in the bar with the entertainment. The hotel is located close to all the amenities and bus stops. what more could you want for a great holiday in a great hotel.

Very nice hotel. Bedroom clean. Mattress on bed not comfortable not firm, shower needs to be up dated. The hotel only does breakfast. Was ok. Swimming pool good. Jacuzzi jets need to work properly.

Shower room was quite small, with a big step into the shower,which may be a challenge for the less mobile.Couldn't get kettle under the tap to fill it up. Swimming pool was an added bonus, with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. Breakfast very good. Decor bit dated, but everywhere clean.

Just had a one night stay at The Wight, first impressions were very dated and tired. The staff there were amazing, so helpful and friendly and really made it for us. The girls used the pool and went down in the evening for table tennis. Comfy beds and clean kettle so winning!! Easy parking big plus.

Lovely staff, very friendly. Nice to have table service at breakfast, although we didn't always get what we asked for, but it was lovely all the same. The public areas, corridors and rooms were immaculately clean. I booked specifically because of the indoor pool which was fantastic. Most mornings I had it to myself. The bar was lovely to sit in for evenings and the drinks prices were amongst the cheapest we encountered on the Island. Will definitely stay again as Sandown makes a fantastic base to explore the Island. Would highly recommend the to anyone, whether you are a family or a couple. The staff at The Wight clearly care about their job & were very warm & keen to help. There is excellent information available about the island. The hotel is dated, but very clean, coordinated & in good repair. The photos advertised were accurate. We didn't try the facilities as only stayed one night. Breakfast was cooked to order & we were able to chose our items individually. It was basic but reasonable. Soya milk available for me as a vegan, but no vegan spread or protein alternatives. The mattresses could do with being replaced as they were a bit soft & the springs could be felt a bit. On the whole would recommend for someone staying in the area.

We arrived and were met by a lovely lady who was very informative and made us feel really welcome which was great. Breakfast was really good and Terry in the morning was great and chatty. Room was very clean and large ( we did get a superior double). All of the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble and the knowledge of the area was a blessing. Being off the road was also good and the car park is large enough. We will definitely be back for another visit soon. Thank you all John and Sheila Room 148

My wife and were more than happy with the cleanliness of our room, the staff at the hotel bent over backwards to help us as we both have to walk with sticks. The breakfast was amazing could not fault it. We will definitely return. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short by 1 day as my wife was taken ill, the reception took everything out of my hands and sorted out the car ferry for us brilliant.

Overall, the room was ok. The kettle had a disgusting smell and was too old. Rooms do not have a small fridge. The breakfast is not a buffet service with very limited continental style options. The hotel does not have any lunch or dinning facilities. This was surprising for a 4 star hotel. I won't stay again at this place. The Sandown area around the hotel felt a bit dipressing with many dilapidated buildings.

We stayed a week at the Wight and really enjoyed our holiday. The staff vere very pleasant and helpful and the breakfasts were superb. We bookrd a room described as being small, it was, so we elected to upgrade: this was arranged very quickly and the changeover went very smoothly. We can recommend the Wight most highly.

The room was small. The staff were all friendly and brilliant and did everything to make our stay as good as it could be. The only negative was the attitude of the owner who tried to belittle me because I said the bedroom was small, which it was.

For all the important stuff: staff knowledge, information given when checking in (in regards to local services etc), peace etc. The Wight was exactly what I needed. I was allowed to check in early with no hassle/extra fees. The staff were always friendly and helpful if I needed anything, but the welcome book provided so much information that I rarely needed to ask questions.

Our stay at the Wight Hotel in Sandown was absolutely brilliant. Full Monty breakfast was first class. The staff were great - nothing was too much trouble for them; so friendly and helpful. we were made to feel very welcome and soon made ourselves at home enjoying the friendly Wight atmosphere and all the services which were available. some great nights in the bar with the entertainment. The hotel is located close to all the amenities and bus stops. what more could you want for a great holiday in a great hotel.

Very conveniently located near the beach and shops with ample on site car parking, it’s own bar, table service dining and room had all facilities needed including tv, drinks making facilities and working hot shower. Good selection of drinks at the bar, excellent breakfast, onsite pool but best of all top class service

We arrived and were met by a lovely lady who was very informative and made us feel really welcome which was great. Breakfast was really good and Terry in the morning was great and chatty. Room was very clean and large ( we did get a superior double). All of the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble and the knowledge of the area was a blessing. Being off the road was also good and the car park is large enough. We will definitely be back for another visit soon. Thank you all John and Sheila Room 148

Very conveniently located, with plenty of parking. Staff very helpful. Shower room was quite small, with a big step into the shower,which may be a challenge for the less mobile.Couldn't get kettle under the tap to fill it up. Swimming pool was an added bonus, with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. Breakfast very good. Decor bit dated, but everywhere clean.

It's a great place for a short stay with family. The pool is a plus. There is a good breakfast and great service. With your car, you can get to any other place on the island in a reasonable time.

The staff at The Wight clearly care about their job & were very warm & keen to help. There is excellent information available about the island. The hotel is dated, but very clean, coordinated & in good repair. The photos advertised were accurate. We didn't try the facilities as only stayed one night. Breakfast was cooked to order & we were able to chose our items individually. It was basic but reasonable. Soya milk available for me as a vegan, but no vegan spread or protein alternatives. The mattresses could do with being replaced as they were a bit soft & the springs could be felt a bit. On the whole would recommend for someone staying in the area.

Overall, the room was ok. The kettle had a disgusting smell and was too old. Rooms do not have a small fridge. The breakfast is not a buffet service with very limited continental style options. The hotel does not have any lunch or dinning facilities. This was surprising for a 4 star hotel. I won't stay again at this place. The Sandown area around the hotel felt a bit dipressing with many dilapidated buildings.

Very nice hotel. Bedroom clean. Mattress on bed not comfortable not firm, shower needs to be up dated. The hotel only does breakfast. Was ok. Swimming pool good. Jacuzzi jets need to work properly.
