Love the location, and that there is parking available. Stairs to rooms are a bit steep but manageable and not too many of them. Lovely clean room overlooking the street below. It can be a little noisy (i didnt mind it) but the hotel does thoughtfully provide earplugs. There is a seperate entrance for anyone staying so you dont have to access via the pub. Breakfast is 8-9am and very nice with a hood choice. Ive stayed here twice now , both time involving a trip to windsor racecourse for a day at the races and will be back again in the future. Note you can walk to the racecourse on about half an hour if you choose to.

This is a lovely old pub in a brilliant location near the bridge across the Thames between Eton and Windsor, just a few minutes walk from most local attractions including Windsor Castle itself, and the lovely riverside walk. Staff are friendly and helpful, the free parking for residents is a real bonus, and their breakfasts are a great start to the day. Would definitely stay again. Also has a lovely beer garden, and was quiet during the week.

Not a typical hotel, more a restaurant with a bar, which offers guest rooms in the upper floors. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The "English breakfast" was served in the restaurant room. Windsor Castle, Windsor downtown, bars and railroad station are in walking distance from the hotel.

Central spot, typical pub B&B. Good for a night. Breakfast okay and had a reasonable pub dinner menu. Great hot shower. Staff very friendly. Tight staircase. Car park access at back of pub.

It’s a terrible hotel. Location is five star. Other than that, front door is locked till noon, need to go through back door. Check out is 10:30am and there is no lobby area to stay. There is no lift nor staff to help for the luggage. I will never visit again.

Our second visit to Windsor & Eton this year and on both occasions we stayed here. Good value for money, ideal location with car parking, excellent service from all the staff and food/drink was very good. We would certainly stay again when visiting the area.

The pub was fun and quirky. The room was clean the bed was comfortable. We had control of the heat in the room. The breakfast that they prepared in the morning was outstanding! It is one of the best breakfast options I have had at an accommodation. The people were all very friendly and having water, coffee and tea in the room as really nice.

We really appreciated the great location and the extremely friendly staff, which made a positive impact on our stay. However, the condition of the property significantly affected our overall experience. The stairs felt unsafe, and the room we stayed in was noticeably unlevel — to the point where even our bag wouldn’t sit properly on the holder. One wall was peeling and damp, the chairs needed a thorough cleaning, and the pillows on the bed (both king and queen) were unfortunately dirty. While the service was commendable, the state of the room brings the rating down to a 7 or 8 at best.

Having stayed at the hotel a few years ago and since using it for food which is always good, thought we'd stay again. Unfortunately, it was below our expectation. Particularly disappointed with the bathroom. It was absolutely freezing, the radiator didn't work and the gaps around the window made it worse. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean, in and around the shower was bad so didn't even use it, factoring the coldness too. I found the bed and pillows too hard, but appreciate thats a personal preference. Breakfast was served by a friendly lady and plenty of choice and fast. Food is always good here, they just need to invest some money in the rooms. Shame as we love the area but don't think we would stay again.

It’s a quirky old pub, so small rooms were expected. On a positive note the bed was comfortable Cleanliness was poor, there was a towel from the previous occupant still hung in the bathroom, the cups in the room had rings in the bottom where they hadn’t been washed thoroughly, the shower didn’t drain and left you stood in an inch of water. The breakfast was comprised of the cheapest possible bread, cereal, juice etc. It felt like a cheap budget B&B but was anything but cheap.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely old pub. The stairs up to our room were a challenge but it was good to see an original feature still in use. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was in the bar. Very friendly staff and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent, walking distance to the bridge into Windsor. Beautiful views. Would say again. We absolutely loved staying at the Crown and Cushion. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well The staff was amazing. We were greeted by Ellie and she was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and we felt like we were treated so kindly. In the evening we had a pint at the bar and our server was Costas. He was a delight. We enjoyed talking with him. I highly recommend staying here and plan to come bqck

Read some other reviews of this hotel with utter bemusement. Its a 250 year-old building and some complain about uneven floors and steep staircases. IT'S A 250 YEAR-OLD BUILDING! If you want a plastic office-block of a hotel, go elsewhere. (Also a special shout-out to the lady moaning that her coathangers didnt match each other, get over yourself princess). The building is lovely and quirky. Bags of character. Price of room included breakfast and parking right behind the building, so is very good value for money. Stayed there before, and will stay there again. Great place.

Room was excellent. Walls and ceilings are thin and creaky but this didnt bother us. It's in a very quiet street. We all love a great shower and the one here was very good. Lots of tea and coffee in the room. Small carpark at the rear. Location is perfect for Windsor, 5 minute walk. Brealfast was good.

Very good location, the building is very old 17th Century making the room very quirky sloppy floors etc. Windows let a lot of road noise in so was woken up early by traffic! We had a room above us and could hear them walking around! Breakfast was good and staff were nice and friendly

Only lost a star as the Vodafone phone signal in Windsor is rubbish and the internet in the property was intermittent (more often than not there was no signal). Easily sorted in the day with all the local coffee shops, but not ideal. That said, it was great value for money and I’d happily stay again.

It is what it is… room was poorly insulated and I was woken by noise from other rooms. Some staff very friendly but one gentleman (I suspect it is the owner) was very off hand, which has influenced my review. I get the impression the he will not care, and that perhaps says it all. A real shame as they have a great location, but if visiting again I would choose any of the other options for accomodation.

This was a great experience. Highly recommend. The hotel provides an actual stepping back in time experience, where you feel like family. The food is good, and the pub is fun. The train was a couple block away, with direct access to London. Windsor Palace very close, it felt very safe.

Very convenient place to stay for visiting Windsor. 5 minute walk across the Thames on a foot bridge to get to the castle. Enough parking around back if you are driving (we were). Hosts were exceptional--even provided us food the night before since we had to leave early to get to Heathrow to catch our flight. Only thing to be aware of, it is over a pub, and if your room is right above there might be a little noise until about 10:30. We were right above it and it wasn't overly loud. Did not interrupt our sleeping.

The Crown and Cushion is ideally located for all Windsor's attractions, the staff are helpful, one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in a long time, hotel and rooms a little tired, in need of a little TLC and a lick of paint, would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights. Didn't want an 'office block' hotel, wanted somewhere with character and charm, both of which The Crown and Cushion have in spades. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and ample. Easy walking distance of Windsor Centre, the castle and the railway station. Easy (and free) parking, so could leave the car and explore at leisure. A marvelous stay.

The house is very old, which brings along the usual symtoms (wooden floorsunder the okd carpets, in the summer warm and sticky, lower water pressure). Due to the pub it can get quite noisy. The food was ok but not thrilling. Overall, it‘s the closeliness to Windsor castle as well as the parking and breakfast included in the price and the very nice staff that make it an unbeatable offer.

Used as a base for rugby at Twickenham and it worked well with free parking and a two minute walk to the station then 25 mins to Rugby. Bar closes early on a Sunday but we found other places to eat and drink. Room was good and variable floors are certainly interesting but nothing dangerous. Staff we met were pleasant and breakfast good. Overall good value and would recommend/stay again.
