We stayed in the King suite on the second floor with the flagpole outside , many original features , the stairwell was tight leading to our room which is understandable considering the age of the building, but worth the effort . Great location for Eton and Windsor - had a really comfortable sleep although the bathroom does need an update. Staff were really friendly but I arrived in the evening during a full house in the downstairs pub so was left waiting for awhile to check in. There is a public car park around 0.5 miles away.

The room was very tired, it needed upgrading. It was small with not much space to move around. The spring mattress was old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The location was great but no onsite parking.

It\'s an old fashioned inn - a pub with bedrooms above. The rooms are full of character, especially "The King" which we stayed in had some fun features and a great view over towards the castle. Room was clean, well presented, with all the niceties you would want and expect (tea/coffee, water, mini toiletries). It\'s a great location too - but it\'s not for those who would be put off by low ceilings and rickety staircases.

An historic property that is well maintained. Not for the faint of heart as the circular staircase is cramped. I loved that they kept my bags until check-in, HOWEVER, no one is there to take the bags until approximately noon.

When we first arrived it did look amazing that was until we got into the room where there was stains all over the walls when looking under the bed there was half a moldy sandwich amongst other food items proving they don’t check and clean the room properly the window was also filthy and had been left open allowing mosquitos which they said was something they couldn’t help due to the location of the property but I feel a bug zapper is required to prevent being constantly bitten when down in the bar area we were told after we had ordered food and drink they only took card we didn’t see anything to say this on there site before we booked let alone at the place itself and when the food did arrive the chicken burger my husband ordered was over cooked he couldn’t even bite into it and yet they still charged us for it we were also unaware that there was a taxi pick up point right under the room the only noise that we were warned about was if they had a live band in the facility and yet the noise from outside was non stop till 4am so we couldn’t sleep

The room was too warm and the ceilings were very low, we both hit our heads multiple times. One of the bottles of water provided in the room was already open and 1/4 full. The coffee provided was decaf only. Everything else was pretty standard, though we found the regal theme a bit strange.

Unfortunately had a very poor stay here. Whilst the location and the staff were both great - the room was very dated and not particularly clean, with a creaky bed. The main criticism of the stay though is the noise - I've legitimately never stayed anywhere where the walls between rooms were so thin. I could quite clearly hear the person in the room next to me as they shuffled in bed, snored and farted during the night - absolutely ridiculous. This, along with the room being stuffy and hot (it was 27 degrees in the day, which to be fair is quite hot for England) led to an awful night's sleep and bad experience

I had a very pleasant stay there and the staff were very helpful. The slightly annoying thing was the bulb for the bedside lamp needed replacing and the room was very cramped. I probably won't stay the night there again but will consider having a drink and a meal there if I'm in the area.

We stayed at the George Inn for one night after visiting Windsor Castle. It was in the perfect location and I was guided too easy parking by the staff. They were very friendly and chatted it up a bit. Walked across the bridge for a fast dinner. Simple and easy!

Il locale è molto caratteristico, perché sorge sul Tamigi, a due passi dal castello di Windsor, in una zona molto vivace di Eton. Ci abbiamo passato una sola notte, che per fortuna presentava il tipico clima dell’estate inglese: la stanza non è condizionata, e la mattina diventa calda. Le scale molto ripide, ma lo staff ci ha aiutato a portar su i bagagli. La cosa più notevole del soggiorno, però, è stata la colazione: a differenza di quanto si trova solitamente in albergo, è stata cucinata tutta espressa. Ci è voluto un (bel) po’, ma se uno vuole provare l’esperienza del «full English breakfast», questo è un ottimo posto per farlo. Rustico, ma consigliato

We were blown away at first the location, view of Windsor Castle, then the quaint quintessential English pub and then most of all the wonderful people who work here. From check in, to all the comforts of the room to the best fish & chips we’ve had in years. This place has it all.

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The gentleman who greeted us at reception was incredibly friendly and open. We came to the dining room to find a table reserved for us. It was a good thing too because it was busy. The room was fantastic with an amazing view of the castle. We enjoyed our dinner and had some great cask beers. We cannot wait to get back here.
