Receptionists from both hotels don’t give full directions There is no kettles in rooms There is no public transportation within 17 min walk

Good little hotel especially for the price. Only real issue I had was that there wasn’t enough plugs in the room. Also was a bit noisy from the main road but that was expected considering its location, I just took some ear plugs and was fine.

Very surprised by the service, condition, breakfast etc for an Ibis budget, it was brilliant, will definitely be staying again. The rooms, although basic, are very well sound proofed. The breakfast has all the main basics, and the parking is ample.

Very noisy, lack of breakfast options. Very concerning is the fire alarm safety. Alarm went off during the night and the staff were very mixed on what to do, showing no reassurances what’s so ever. Lift was also down during our duration of the stay

Nice hotel right in between Barking & New Ham: good breakfast although continental, strong wifi signal, cool rooms

It was a budget hotel so it was fine for just sleeping in but we had 2 triple rooms and there was only 2 plug sockets in the whole room (and in the corner of the room ) not by bedside or even by a mirror for doing hair etc. Also claims to be air conditioned...absolutely isnt. Theres a fan (which then takes up one of the two plug sockets) that barely even works, might as well just blow on yourself. We also found that despite website saying 6 minutes away from the Excel it was actually 15 minutes drive away so cost us double in uber costs so ended up having to spend over £80 on 4 ubers !

Unsafe parking and had random people walking into room. Raised complaint to hotel and head office.

Ok I get you get what you pay for and I’m fully on board with this but this hotel fell far below my expectations. Room is basic, but ample for what you pay for it. The problem is the awful sewage smell as soon as you put the tap on that you could also smell in the bathroom and corridor - this isn’t normal and really needs addressing. Shower didn’t actually turn on, the tap was completely stuck. Stood there in my pyjamas at 8 in the morning I had no choice but to use brutal force, turned it on to a dribble at best. Managed a “shower” but then no way of turning the thing off. This would’ve been checked when the cleaner last cleaned the shower so how they allowed for the room to be made available for guests is beyond me. Yes you get what you pay for but I’d highly recommend another budget chain. Recommendation for hotel - can we please normalise discreetly informing check in guests of their room number. Arrived just before midnight on my own with my 10 year old (I’m female) and announced my room number in front of another guest which made me really uncomfortable

I liked how friendly and helpful the staff always were what I didn’t like is the maid asked us if we wanted our bed changed and it wasn’t done and the sink in the bathroom was never cleaned properly

The room was a permanent stale air smell, When you shower. Everything in the whole room gets wet as the ventilation does not work. I feel there must have been mold as I was sick both nights.

I mean you get what you pay for, rooms are tiny and beds are super squeaky if you move too much. No phone number for the hotel that worked and no reply to emails so really shocking communication as a whole. Clean and simple but yeah, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Wouldn’t recommend purely based on the area, very dirty around and near a massive motorway.

Average experience but what I expected. Staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel room was clean, and breakfast was perfectly standard, but the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on and the room very cold even with heating.

No lock on the bathroom door which means whomever you’re staying with can walk in and this has happened a couple of times with my family There is no telephone in the room The mirror is not located conveniently its near the door in the dark Lighting is terrible - very dim couldn’t do my makeup properly Only a double plug socket away from the bed near the window

Good price and location for a stay in London. 10-15 minute walk to Barking station with easy access to overground and underground trains. Roons are very basic but clean. Our room on the 2nd floor waa extremely hot. There was a stand up air conditioning unit which helped a little. The window could be opened but there was a lot of noise from traffic outside.

I did have some men trying to get i to my room which was slightt unnerving. Room was quite a bit smaller than it appears on the website some what misleasing

The staff were great and the room was clean and tidy but the lighting inside the room wasn’t good at all. also there was only one socket available in the whole room which we had to take turns when charging our phones or using the hair dryer. In addition the room wasn’t a soundproof

There’s a big supermarket next door open until midnight. Easy check-in, clean place, and helpful staff

Eveything was brilliant, would definitely go back, staff was amazing and really helpful. Didnt get the name of the woman at the front desk when we got there but she was absolutely amazing was was so helpfull. ✨️✨️✨️

Appalling levels of service. Everything was too much trouble. Ridiculously small and uncomfortable single beds in a twin room (designed for people with disabilities for some reason!) I was charged an adult price for my daughter’s breakfast or he wouldn’t have checked us in and the breakfast (for the price) was an absolute disgrace. Pure carnage and no organisation or direction from staff. I was charged a further £8.50 for my daughter and all she had was a croissant and a glass of orange juice. Clearly the hotel are really hard up as they were seemingly desperate for that £8.50. Staff weren’t helpful or friendly. None of them smiled on arrival or sat any point. I work away a lot and stay in hotels - the staff and overall experience here were absolutely appalling.

The heating in the room didn't work. When I informed staff they were very nonchalant about it.

Great stay and the hotel receptionist Mehwish was absolutely brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help and assist.

My wife and I spent a couple of days at the hotel. In addition to the above reasons to make me visit the hotel again if I have opportunity to, was how a particular staff, I think her name is MEHWISH, she exhihited an excellent customer service during our stay at the hotel, and that really made our stay very very comfortable. Thank you, MEHWISH.

They made me wait for an hour to have an ealry check-in which i emailed them prior coming also i have tried to ring them but the phone was ringing and they did not answer the phone on purpose.when i came i wasringing them and they won't pick up the phone ,after that he could not see my booking and told me to wait an hour for the receptionist in the morning because he could not gave me a room. I was waiting until finally the girl on the morning shift came in. There was 2 customer coming to the reception just before me as she was making herself ready. They said that they wanted a room with early check in and guess what suddenly they had a room and early check-in as well then she serve me and she was rude and lying as well she said she hasn't got a room available and that early check in is at 9h00. I call this segregation and i am french and always goes to accor hotel world wide and never has experienced this level incompetence and lies because the night receptionist said that he had rooms but could not do early check in. She said that she gave the last room to these customers. Then why are you accepting money before from expedia if you don't have a room. I have paid a room and cannot enjoy my stay because this girl was lazy and the worst thing she was guided by her emotions make laws as she was going along. I am a gold customer with accor and all my family are platinium with accord 5 Members of them with accor. the bottom line is i booked other hotel ibis due to Racism

The location Walking distance to the station, shops nearby.Clean and new

Approxiamtely 14 minute walk from the nearest tube Barking. But you can pick up taxis which is a 5 minute drive. Reception service was quick and prompt. Room was compact but clean and tidy. Room soundproof. Although next to main road once window was closed very quiet. Had a good nights sleep. Continential breakfast is available and drinks obtained via reception.

The place it self is very clean, but it’s 10 minutes away from the train station and one has to walk around a very dirty, noisy and somewhat unsafe area. Alas you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it.

This was a business trip and given it was simply a place to sleep as I was being collected and dropped off every day it’s still considering it’s in the middle of nowhere with fairly awful links and as simple as you expect for the very good price

Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly but the neighborhood didn't seem to be safe with many homeless people just about 5 to 10m away from the hotel. The room had only beds and a TV. No safty box so we had to carry our passports everywhere in an unsafe looking neighborhood.

This hotel is really good for its purpose. It’s a budget no frills hotel that is very clean with decent rooms. The staff are very helpful and all services work. Only negative is lack of restaurants nearby but there is a Tesco superstore. A little noisy with the window open next to the main road but close the window all good. Overall a good budget hotel within £25 Uber ride of London sights.

Don’t waste your money on the breakfast it’s not worth it go to the Tesco's next door much better value for money

I chose this hotel from 2 I was reviewing. Looked through all the info and photos on Expedia. It looked good for the price and had free parking and breakfast. In reality when we arrived it couldn’t have been more the opposite. Arriving mid evening after a long drive the address took us to the wrong hotel as there were 2 different IBIS hotels? The rooms were like prison cells, freezing, noisy, uncomfortable. Only 2 plug sockets no tea and coffee facilities no hairdryer. The noise from the busy road felt like the window was open! The 2 vent air conditioning machine pumped out tepid air which was said to be 25 degrees! The receptionist was friendly and helpful but didn’t come to check the heating instead gave us stand alone fans but they were cooling fans so useless! Kept having problems with the door key for one of the rooms so couldn’t get in when one of our young family was sleeping. I was charged for parking my car!! The bathroom smelt of sewage! The final nail in the coffin was the insult that was breakfast. All that was available was a dire selection of cereal some bread cheese and ham. The toaster machine wasn’t even working so there was one small toaster for all in the hotel to use. No cooked food to be seen. Very disappointed would not recommend this stay.

Helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean room with large shower. Buffet breakfast fine although quite crowded if unlucky timing.

Paid for breakfast when making booking. Went for breakfast at 7 am and there was nothing left!

Me and My wife stayed here for three nights. The rooms very small and few facilities, you can hardly move around in the room It’s very far from the city center for commuting, even about 20 minutes from the bus or train stations. The first day we came for breakfast, they asked us which room we were in and then said that you do not have breakfast, if we had a free breakfast voucher, we informed them that she was not polite and said that this had nothing to do with me and that it was a system problem. You can answer with good literature but she was just arguing and this is not logical. In the end, you can have better options.

It was horrible the breakfast was low standard no English breakfast they should have specified on booking they really put the budget in.And tried to get a refund for breakfast and nothing happened no help at all.
